Bought a card in July 2020. Gave it as a gift. Person I gave it to tried to use it in September. Didn't work. Tried the website doesn't match records. Press 1 for customer rep - hangs up on me. Sent mail inquiry never got a response. Went back to store purchased card from computer printout received of activation when card purchased. Sent that to mygiftcardmall - still no response.
$100 wasted.
Bought 5 - $100 gift cards for safe way and paid $25 for overnight shipping. A week later the cards haven't been sent from their facility nor will they cancel my order. Ordered the card to give out for Thankgiving and they will not even be here in time even though I placed the order 8 days ago.
I ordered as a gift and they never received it. Customer service chat is closed even though it states they're open. Customer service phone is just automated. I will not order again and suggest others to avoid this site
This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. The address I provided was correct, yet the mailman failed to deliver the package for unknown reasons. Come to find out, its being sent back to the company and I will receive a refund which could take 15 days. I then have to RE ORDER the cards which was a massive headache in the first place due to the large cost. Im now waiting for my refund and will be taking my business elsewhere once that occurs. What a disaster.
Was given gift card as a gift. $25. I activated it. After that I tried to use it the very next day and was declined. Called customer service. They were acting very funny. I explained to them it has never even used and just took it out of packaging. Customer service told me it used for PayPal. I asked them how is that even possible. Anyways they emailed all these dispute forms. I didn't want to give them my personal information. They seemed very sneaky and untrustworthy. So they closed the dispute and there's been no resolution. Don't trust them! They need to be shutdown! Not fair.
I have only used this website service 2 times and BOTH times they double charged me for the gift card and then never issued the card forcing me to spend days and days on the phone with my bank and the company to get my money refunded. I would rather have a root canal than do business with them ever again!
The company kept cancelling my order, saying it was my credit card company. Two cc companies said the orders went through. Giftcardmall said there's nothing they can do. When I tried to discuss other possibilities, they hung up on me.
I finally got an order through. They cancelled the order and told me I can never order from their site EVER.
I ordered a $50 card for some friends who just had a baby, and the order said it was processed. An hour later, I got an email saying it was cancelled. I called my bank, they verified a few transactions, and said I shouldn't have any problems. So I ordered the same gift card, but paid with a different credit card. Exactly 20 minutes later, I got another cancellation notice. Then I received an email from "Gerson A" with "GiftCardMall Risk Management" saying my transactions were cancelled due to security concerns.
Such a hassle, unprofessional, and inconvenient.
Received $25 gift card for gift and tried using it at Walmart only for it to ask for a pin. I didn't have a pin so I called the automated system and chose change pin which doesn't ask you for an existing pin. I set the pin, tried using it a week later with pin and said declined. I called the number again and it still shows a balance but says to go to website to register card. I go to website, put the card info in there and hit submit only for the website to say page can't be displayed. $25 down the drain for my friend who bought it and me.
I ordered an iTunes giftcard through Amazon.com, which used giftcardmall.com to order it. I placed the order on Dec. 6,2010, and it was estimated to be received by Dec. 16,2010. It is now Jan. 1,2011 and it has not been received. Giftcardmall.com doesn't provide shipping info online so there's no way to track it.
I am still waiting in the phone for customer service to answer their phone. I am going to report them to the better business bureau. They said to me there was a problem with the processing so they approve it first and then cancel it. There person was reading from a script of some sort. Do not order any cards from them. They do not answer emails either.
Do NOT buy a VISA gift card from the giftcard mall. My son received a $50 visa gift card for a birthday present and when he went to use it there was only $7 on the card. It was in a package and not opened so we know the giver of the gift did not use it. Somehow hackers must have gotten the numbers and used the card once it was activated. When we call to report it they made us fill out a ton of forms, send photos of the card and a long phone call documenting everything. In the end they did not issue a new card because we did not have the receipt of purchase. It was so ridiculous. Very disappointing that such a large company such as VISA can not back their product, they do not have a handle on hackers and they have a horrible customer service department. I say give cash forget the VISA/AMEX gift cards. It is a total loss! Will never buy again.
Ordered American Eagle gift card in November. No tracking number for a week. Then a tracking number but had not been picked up from the shipper 10 days later. Called and said no tracking on file! I gave them THEIR tracking number and was told someone would have to call me back. Which they did not. Today 4 weeks later, I was on hold for 15 min and talked with 2 different reps. Seems the trail for the tracking number ended in another state. Asked for it to be cancelled and was told I would get a call back... contacted my credit card company and disputed it.
This is not a legitimate business in my opinion.
UPDATE: Received card. Credit card was charged. American Eagle said not a valid number, to bring it in. Covid shut things down. I lost my $125.00.
This has been a terrible transaction for me. I ordered a $300 voucher and the link that came in did not work. I wanted to use that voucher the same day to get a gift card to buy something. I went to the website to send a cancellation request in. No one has ever contacted me about it. I called the same day and the agent who assisted me said he'd put in a ticket with tech support and that they would contact me because they don't have phones. Again, no one contacted me. I called again 4 days later and the agent at the time said there is a no return policy after the item is shipped. Shipped? Its an e-card! Unless i can navigate through your website at light speed there is no way to put in a cancellation before it's "shipped". So the agent escalated to get a refund. I still have not heard back from anyone. This is a SCAM.
Do not use GiftCardMall. I should have checked with the reviews before purchasing. It was only after having difficulty redeeming a card and reporting it to the credit card company to withhold payment that they responded to my email requesting assistance. Even at that time they said the issue was not with their company rather with the business related to the gift card that I had purchased and said that the onus was on me to follow up with the business. I would give it less than zero star but it is not an option on the rating scale.
Got a $50 gift card, went to the store to use it had to register the card… registered the card at the self checkout and went to run the card and it was declined. Checked the card and it said that 2 charges to PayPal 1 for $1.95 and then another for $48.00… so the second we registered the card they stole the money off it. Do not buy these cards!
A organization purchased the card for my daughter with cancer to cheer her up 10/10/22 in Perrysburg OH. 10/23/2022 the card was used for total by someone at a NYGROCERY!
We found out trying to use it 01/16/2023!

I would not recommend purchasing a Visa gift card from these people. I bought one and lost my money.The card is not usable. When I try to call them it asks for your sixteen digit card number. I type it in and it says it's not a valid number. I have no way to contact them by phone. A balance check on-line says my card is marked for potential fraud. I'm going to throw the card away and count it a loss. I'm glad I only spent $25.00 on the card. Screw you giftcardmall!
We are a company and we purchased a gift card for an employee who would be traveling internationally. We did not want to cancel the gift card, simply transfer it over to a card which would work internationally. Lots of help they were. I explained to the woman we would never use their services again and that I would tell 20 friends not to use their services. I surely hope this reaches more than 20 people. Find another gift card site to purchase from. These people are awful!

Conclusion: They are thieves and should be held accountable.
