(SCAM) Please do not buy from them

Ok, so i bought a gift card from food lion a while back with money on it and it had one unauthorized transaction of only $14, i didn't think much of it and thought someone must have got ahold of the info somehow, so i buy another one about a week later putting $145 on the card, i get home to use the card and the card now only has $2 on it because there were several transactions with google play in california adding up to $143 witch is crazt because i dint enter the card info anywhere yet and made sure the card wasn't tampered with this time due to the last incident, so to me its a big rd flag because that's no coincidence that this happens two times with the same people, i called customer service and filed a dispute but they never contacted me back, there is someone who answers the phone i called so many times that i'm sure at this point that the same guy keeps answering the phone and tries to change his voice and gives himself different names. Claimed to be Alex, tommy etc. one time i threatened to cal; the police and he acted suspicious and then hung up the phone on me? Keep in mind i never called him out on this because i didn't want to make matters worse, FYI i knew they were the ones using my money.

Fast forward on how i got my money back aka im only 17 so everything i threaten to do i actually wasn't going to do but i managed to bluff them out, i contacted better business bureau and threatened to get a lawyer and state attorney and fbi to investigate them, and then i emailed them that to, to my surprise the same day hours later they contact me giving me a full refund of $145, but the problems don't end there. I was told i would be getting mailed a replacement card within 7-10 business days, now mind you i already know that these people are scammers so i almost knew that that replacement card isn't coming but i waited the amount of time anyway so they wouldn't have an exuse when i contacted them back. I am just 17 and male but i'm smart, i knew that there were not alot of people that worked there so i could get in contact with the ceo easily unlike a business like amazon etc, i contacted her through email that i found and told them i wanted my card to be sent to my email the same day and if not i would go straight to fbi, and then at the end i told them if they give me my money and dont touch it again we wont have a problem, so at this point they just want me out there hair, to my surprise i get a email with a virtual card with $146, yes they gave me a extra dollar for some reason but i didn't complain, all in all this took about 4 and a half weeks of fighting with these people to get my money back. And ofc i rushed to ebay to buy something before they could use my money again. I STRONGLY DON'T RECOMMEND THESE PEOPLE and if you already bought a card try and get the money off as soon as possible with like a purchase that is immediate like ebay or something not amazon because they charge you when they ship and trust me, they will use your money by then.

Order cancelled without warning

I placed an order on 3/10/18 for 8 gift cards (over $120) to be delivered via email on 3/12/18 to my daughter for her birthday. There was NO indication in the order process that my order would or could be delayed or cancelled.

I recd an email 3/12/18 afternoon saying my order had been cancelled with no explanation of why. I did not see this email until early evening after my daughter told me she had not recd my gift.

I called customer service 3/12 to inquire why order had been cancelled. Was told their 2 step process for confirming order could not be completed. Said they tried to reach me by phone twice to confirm order. I recd one call 3/12 afternoon from *******470 that I was not able to answer and no voice mail was left. The rep said since they couldnt confirm the order, it was cancelled.

My daughter and I live in different states and I had just gotten out of the hospital, so ordering her Birthday gift online was something I felt good about. I was extremely upset and disappointed that my daughters Birthday gifts did not get sent per my order. I was told that the complete order would have to be placed again and there was no guarantee it would be delivered by the end of the day. I asked:
Why was no voice mail left for me to follow up confirming my order?
Why wasnt an email sent saying a response was required to confirm order?
Why wasnt there any contact from the company BEFORE the date my order was supposed to be delivered?
Why isnt there any info on the web site that says the order will require a 2 step confirmation and if not done, the order would be cancelled? Had I known to anticipate contact from the company, I would have been on the lookout.

The customer service rep and the supervisor were verbally respectful and apologetic but said they could not offer any compensation for the company actions or my dissatisfied service. Their words of dont worry, we wont charge you for the first order and all you have to do is place the order again were not comforting or reassuring! I have never dealt with a company who did not offer some sort of incentive to keep the customer satisfied.

For the reps, they thought resubmitting my order was no big dealeasier said than done when youre recuperating from a cardiac procedure. Had I not been so tired and feeling poorly, I would have shopped elsewhere and not resubmitted the order with Gift Card Mall.

Because of this experience, I will not use Gift Card Mall again and I will tell others not to use them.

Waste Of Money & Time

Two bad experiences from ordering from this company. I think the company was bought out by another vender because last year when I ordered an EGift card via Stales website I got my item with no issues at all. Earlier this year I tried to order a card and Staples told me they didn't handle the cards anymore & that it was handled thorough GiftCardMall now. Never received my item and when requesting a refund Staples said that it should've come from GCM and GCM said it should come from Staples, Staples ended up refunding me. After I realized that the company was def. Dealing with a new vendor I tried to order from them again, the order went through, item was charged to my card and it actually shipped. I was mildly impressed, seemed like things were working as it should, however I never received the email for the EGift card & I'm aware that sometimes these things can end up in your spam/junk folder so I contacted CS via their number *******551. Spoke with a rep who gladly re-sent the info to me, but when trying to redeem the card I got an error message that said "This page cannot be displayed. Please check back later or call customer service." called back and another rep told me that it was the browser I was using. Apparently their site isn't compatible with Safari, she advised me to use Firefox or Google Chrome, which I did and still no solution. Called for the third time & yes, as other have stated it's about a 20 min. Hold time just for you to reach a live rep, the last rep also tried to re-send the card to me, but I still had the same issue, she suggested I could receive a refund in 15 business days or have the issue further investigated by their TECH team and she also let me know that if I choose to have the issue looked at by their TECH team that it could take an extended period of time. I choose to be refunded obviously and she also mentioned she would have the issue escalated to upper management for them to take a look at as well, I asked her if they would actually reach out to me and she assured me they would but in my opinion it's highly unlikely. So I'll have to wait an additional three weeks to receive a refund and on that 15th day when I don't get my refund I'll be inclined to open a dispute with my bank about the charge, however in the mean time I will be calling GCM back to speak directly with their manager this following week to be sure all the info was documented properly and that he's aware of this huge inconvenience that a lot of the customers are facing. I don't blame the customer staff, they were trying to be helpful, however I've never heard of company that receives so many complaints and can't accommodate the customers or offer any kind of solution their issue. This is the last time that I will ever attempt to buy from them.

OMG, who knew customer service could be this bad? I seldom write online reviews, but this company's conduct and practices are so bad that I felt an obligation to warn others. Over the last several months I have attempted 3 transactions to purchase gift cards from Gift Card Mall through Kroger.com website. All 3 were disasters, but the latest tops anything I've ever seen.
First transaction, purchased Lord & Taylor gift card to use online for Christmas shopping. Minor detail... L & T website doesn't accept the Lord & Taylor gift cards issued by Gift Card Mall. How does that even happen that GCM issues worthless gift cards for a company?
Second transaction, purchased a gift card from GCM for well-known dept. store using my debit card. Still not received after several days so called GCM. ONLY THEN was I told that they had cancelled the transaction days earlier because the billing address on debit card (as on all my bank stmts etc.) was a PO Box and they don't accept PO Boxes as billing address. Not disclosed anywhere about "NO PO Box" and didn't bother to even notify me of the status of the transaction.
Yesterday, purchased Petco card online. It's more than 24 hours later... and SIX phone calls... and no ecard received. First 4 calls, was told that it can take "4-24 hours" to process transactions. Fifth call (24+ hours after purchase) was told it can take "24 BUSINESS hours" or 3 days to process. Also told that I would get a call back by a specific time. One hour AFTER that specific time, I called back for a SIXTH time. Person on the phone (called herself "first level" rep) couldn't do anything, person who was supposed to call me back was "on another call" so I asked to be transferred to a second level person. On hold forever and then... get this... was told that "the person who handles this isn't in yet"! So there's ONE person in the whole company who can figure out what's going on with my transaction. Later found out that one person is in another country! So there's one person in the whole world? Asked for someone else at second level and was told that no one else could investigate my inquiry - only that ONE PERSON in another country. When I asked again (and again) to be transferred to a higher level, the rep said we'd reached an "impasse" and disconnected the call.

Good grief, talk about useless representatives and horrible customer service! Unbelievable that Kroger continues to be affiliated with Gift Card Mall... and that reputable retail companies allow Gift Card Mall to represent them and sell their company gift cards. Avoid doing business with Gift Card Mall!

I placed an order with gift card mall on august 6th for an egift card. I needed a last minute birthday gift and the site seemed pretty legit and had wide selection to pick from. I wish I had read the reviews before hand- something I normally do and didn't for this purchase, a very poor decision on my part. After placing my order I received an email saying my order was going to be shipped on the 10th. I immediately contacted customer service because my impression for an egift card and from the site description was that it would be sent via email in only a few hours after purchase- wrong. Customer service was unhelpful saying that it could take 4 days to "ship" to the recipients email address. Days later I receive an email from customer service saying that my order was being put on hold until I called to provide them with more information to verify my identify (address, cross street, etc) to ensure my " protection." They then said that they had to submit my answers to these questions to their fraud department and once verified my order would be processed and then shipped, but this could take an additional 3-5 business days. After waiting 3 business days I called customer service again- they assisted me it was still being processed. I called back in two days and they informed me that it had been shipped- which was not the case as my recipient scoured her email (including spam/junk, etc.) and had found nothing. I asked for it to be resent and for a confirmation email to be sent to me personally when this had been done, they agreed and said they would "start this process." Days later - nothing on my end or my recipients so I called again and requested they send it to another email - days later nothing. I called a few days ago and requested a refund because this was so frustrating. They said they would "send this to the department higher up" and it would take 2 business days. I called again today and the customer service woman said it would take 15 business days for a refund.

I have been charged 2 times on two separate occasions for a gift card purchase that has never been delivered, and that I have yet to receive a refund on or even a clear timeline as to when it will be issued.

I am convinced this site is a scam- which is exactly what I told the customer service agent today- or is run by absolute idiots.

Never again.
