I have several of their copper plant trays that I use instead of plant saucers. They look good and do not leak or turn green. Last week I ordered two more of these tray sets. A few hours after I placed the order, I discovered that I needed a third set. The person I spoke to at Gardener's was very pleasant and accommodating. Although she could not change the original order, she gave me a discount on the second order in order to minimize the increase in shipping costs that would be generated by having two orders instead of one.

When I called customer service, was there was a 23-minute wait to speak with a rep. Unacceptable. If I had checked reviews of the company, I never would have ordered from them. Avoid!

Ordered item, never shipped, never notified me it was "out of stock." I checked 11 days after I ordered to track the order, then the website conveniently said that function was temporarily unavailable. How convenient. There is No information on their website about how to cancel an order. I wish I had checked their business profile here before ordering. Will never order from them again.
I placed an order for some seed starting medium on February 15th, I was not told otherwise so I assume it was in stock. It is now March 2nd and I am still waiting for my order to be delivered.
I called customer service and I was told that they were backed up on shipping orders and I get that I guess but this is absolutely ridiculous.
Also I assume that when you only work 5.5 hours a day that it is hard to fulfill your customers orders.

Very, very slow processing from ordering to shipping. Was one month. Ridiculous. It took so long to get it shipped that I was not sure if I paid.

I wish I had read the reviews before I placed an order with this company. I placed an order on March 31 and 3 weeks later, it still hasn't shipped. They keep debiting my financial account though. I'm filing a complaint with the Vermont Attorney General's office.
Do not even consider buying the small sitting stool that folds down for a knee support. Great idea but they use cheap plywood for the insert and if you leave it outside it simply rots which is what ours did in less than a year and crashed while I was sitting on it. I am replacing the plywood with maple and it should work OK though the springs and other parts are pretty flimsy. Simply not worth whatever they charge.

One afternoon I ordered 3 privacy screens and very early the next morning realized they weren't right for my project. I tried to cancel by phone and internet but they said it was too late. A FedEx tracking number had not even been established. They did not intercept it from seller, (it had only been 12 hour) but the screens took 3 weeks to arrive. I used the cheapest shipper to return them and it cost $245.94. With electronic technology today I feel they should have been able to cancel this order. Also, there were no packing slips in the boxes, so no return form with return labels, as I was told there would be.
Tip for consumers:
Do not order anything until you have thought about it for a few days and are 100% sure. They would not cancel my order within 12 hours of making it.

I've emailed and called to no avail. They sent me this product with a BATTERY INSIDE THE GLASS LANTERNS, which obviously broke them. Not only that, but the product was in a shoddy "recycled" box. I need my money back and I don't think it's fair to pay for shipping after this item was broken not because of the deliverers, or me, but because they decided to put loose batteries in a glass lantern. Who does that?
So frustrating! We bought 2 garden beds. One was fine, but the other came with missing parts. I have spent a total of over 6 hours on hold to be ultimately disconnected after waiting over an hour each time. I have filed 3 incident reports via email... and NO repsonses after a month. We finally returned the item (at $50 shipping cost!)... just to try to recoup some money - but I am not holding my breath. SO disappointed!
The Employee Owners of this company should be ashamed of the service they provide. It's impossible to get through just to report an issue. No response to email, on hold for >40 minutes after being given an estimated wait time of 16 minutes. Received a damaged product after waiting 6 weeks for it. I will never shop there again. So disappointed.

I never received my order and I paid more than $30.00 USD. They said that order was delivered. I will never buy from this company and I will never recommend this place to anyone not even to my enemies

Cons: This company is difficult to contact, has misleading policies, and will take advantage of customers that are not willing to dedicate hours to resolve their issue with the company policies or products.
Waited 3 months for my order and when it came I was overcharged for their already high shipping. However, they charge your credit card immediately. It took many calls to resolve the problem and I was told that I would be refunded in approximately a month IF they determined I was overcharged. Very frustrating, I will never do business with them again. Everything about this company is designed to benefit them and take advantage of the consumer.

If I had known it would be like this I never would have ordered from Gardener's Supply. Every few days I try calling, but usually am on hold for almost an hour before I speak with somebody, and although the people are friendly on the phone, they seem helpless to resolve the matter or even to find out what is going on.
I wish I had read the reviews before placing my order.
But, the reviews about poor customer service are consistent with my experience.
Many of their products are nothing more that orders through a third party vendor.
Buyer beware--- if you like inflated prices and poor customer service they are for you. Otherwise, steer clear.

I made a mistake to place an order with this company. My first and last time! They had some items on back order. I've tried to cancel, but there's no way to cancel online so you have to call and wait for an hour or more, plus listen to the same message every 20 seconds! I couldn't get through. So they sent a second item and overcharged me for It. So now I have to call again, 4th times and listen to the same thing for another hour. Never order anything from this terrible company! Stay away is right!
My freeze-sensitive order was shipped without any notification or tracking number from Gardener's Supply. If I had received either, I would have watched for the delivery. Instead I discovered it on my front porch after a hard freeze overnight. The giant amaryllis bulb was ruined. There is no excuse for this sloppy shipping practice, especially from a company that has positioned itself as an elite gardening supplier.
Item ordered 3 days ago hasnt even shipped. Said they take up to 6 fays to ship sn order but they have a labor shortage and it is now taking 2 weeks (9 business days) and in the meantime i have varmints eating my seedlings. Never bothered to send ne a notice and will not cover costs to expedite shipping methods even though it is their failure, not mine. Will not order from them again.
I have tried calling 3 times with waits that exceeded 75 minutes and each ultimately disconnected with I finally reached a service person. My order took over a month to receive when initially it was stated it would be 7-10 days. Then two key corner pieces are missing for the planter for it to be of any use at all. I can't get anyone to even talk to via phone or an email to fix this problem. Don't ever buy from this place - EVER.

I ordered a $300 arbor that they never shipped. I have a UPS tracking that says it never left, but they are claiming it shipped. Now on hold for 30 minutes AGAIN in order to speak with someone. Will NEVER shop here again. I'm going to have to call credit card company and dispute charge. I noticed that another reviewer had the same experience. Seriously... do NOT shop here. This is FRAUD!
I wish I saw reviews of this company before ordering. Awful customer service, don't waste your time ordering from this company. I never received my order nor any correspondence from them about it. After the expected delivery date, I emailed multiple times, never got a response. I called and was on hold for 35 mins then someone transferred me, I was on hold for another 20 mins, then was told that my order should be shipping and that I would get an email update within 24-48 hours. 5 days later, still nothing from them. I called again, was on hold for 25 mins, then got hung up on. I have received no email correspondence from them besides the initial order confirmation. This is not a proper way to run a business. I spent $190 with them to that I now need to get my order cancelled and refunded. I question if this is even a real business!

Placed an order for tomato cages on May 15. Finally received an email on May 28 stating that a FedEx label was created and ready to ship with a delivery date of June 2. On June 1 I called GS customer service because when I clicked on the tracking number it showed that my package had not moved. Customer service told me to wait a few more days and that FedEx was not displaying the tracking. I then called FedEx who verified that they had not received the package. As of June 4 my package was never received by FedEx. When calling Gardeners Supply customer service again and telling them that the package was not received as I had verified this with a FedEx representative, Gardeners Supply then stated that they were having issues with their warehouse, staff shortage, illness, etc. I requested a refund and was then told they would charge me a fee then I was transferred to another person who stated I could not receive a refund at all. Then again onto another customer service staff who finally refunded me my money after I threatened to call my bank and register a complaint. I will never place an order for anything with this company. If they cannot fill orders then stop taking them. Also, there is nothing mentioned on their website regarding shipping delays. Poor way to do business.
We received two compost bins totaling $400.00. The description said they were insulated, study and had air vents. Not true... they are not insulated, have funky little plastic air openeings. The plastic bins are cheaply constructed, arrived with two broken pieces, snap together in a very unstable manner. I spent a day trying to get through to the company, on hold twice for 50 minutes each time. Come on Gardener Supply you can really do better than this.

They seem like such a reputable company but impossible to speak with anyone, and their compost bins were so sadly constructed and so outrageoulsy priced.
I ordered three items. One is on back order, the other two arrived with defects. The wait for customer service is over an hour. I have had no reply to my emails. They have lost this customer. Pic below is just some of the rust on my rust less trellis!
