Figured out it wasn't my problem, still tried to install this computer and had trouble getting it to read security key and gave up.
Flagship 1 has always been great I never had any problems with their products and I have ordered quite a few ecms people that are complaining don't have any actual proof go flagship one!
Just put it in, and only problem was starter unresponsive light on the screen. So I did the key reprogram method. Turn key all the way to right before start, leave there for 10 minutes. Turn key to off for 5 seconds. Than turn on again for 10 min. Repeat 3 times. Then turn off, remove key. Than key in, and start. EUREKA, I finally have a good BRAIN. LOL. THANKS ALOT

My 2003 Ford Expedition, 4.6L V8 had the typical Ford problem of "No crank, no start". I had personally replaced everything in the ignition system with no result. Finally, I had my car towed to Mullinax Ford. They diagnosed it and said the key cylinder transponder ring was bad, but Ford no longer makes them, so my car cannot be repaired. The diagnosis cost me $200 and I had my car towed back home. I bought a used transponder ring and that did not fix anything. The PCM was the only thing left to replace, so I purchased and installed a rebuilt programmed PCM from Flagship One. I hired a locksmith to put the key code into the new PCM. The engine started on the first try. Flagship One saved my car.

Got the pcm ordered however the sales person who sat up my purchase conveniently failed to mention I might want to consider purchasing keys that come with it already programmed specifically for my 2005 Ford Taurus. The vehicle will not start without new keys, previous set of keys will not work. So I called the flagship one inc phone number someone with customer service, I was sent a PDF with instructions on how to go about getting the keys I already have to work with it, something about a locksmith. Tried can't find any with the correct equipment. Another mention of contracting Ford to program them for me, I attempted doing this also. I was turned away due to my car being older than a 2006 anything made before that is too old and they are unable to help me with my issue. Also attempted the lower segment of the email suggesting directions to manual program the keys, is last attempt also failed. Once again I called and was not able to really come up with any thing I could agree with the operater about. Still very angry!

The original PCM we ordered was no good. The response time was a little slow and the warranty took about 3 weeks. However, they made it right and warrantied the PCM. I'd like to see improvement on the communication side so I can keep my clients informed. I will use them again since they did stand by their parts.
