I purchased $70 plan and used it for 2 months until get out of credits. The only function I used is creation of videos using original image. In the beginning of the April I bought another plan for $144. Next day major function "extend the video" just gone. The longest video it produces is 10 seconds now, no way to extend. I mailed to customer support. They were bull$#*!ing me for two weeks responding idiotic sentences totally irrelevant to the problem. Finally I asked them to return my money back, service became useless for me, total garbage. Instead they just closed my case, totally ignored me and final response was "thank you for being valuable customer". This is con artist service, with ignorant pseudo support and great mechanism to suck out money from customers for nothing.
I'm extremely disappointed with Freepik. Their subscription system is a complete scam—they force you to link a card during sign-up with no option for a one-time payment. Even worse, if you try to unbind your card, your subscription gets disabled, yet they keep attempting to charge your card repeatedly. This removal of the option to unlink is fraudulent and completely unacceptable. Avoid Freepik if you value control over your finances.
I have a paid subscription with freepik, but over the month I have had an issue with my account that tech support cannot fix. When I download some of the videos there is a watermark, despite having a paid subscription. I have contacted them several times about the issue and they keep requesting the same information over and over, so it clear they are incapable of fixing it and refuse to refund the remainder of my subscription. Dishonest company, beware!
Freepik is very misleading in terms…
Freepik is very misleading in terms of their usage policies. Based upon what I read on the web, I thought they were perfect...downloaded about 10 pictures...then I finally found the small print within hours. I did not use the pics...and I will not.
However when I explained this to freepik...they refused a refund. Freepik promotes one thing...but the fine print is totally different.
Terrible experience as a contributor. Files stay under the review process for a month and you can't move forward because you are not sure if it's going to be accepted or not. Not a surprise - it's a Spanish company, all of them are more than slow...
I subscribed to the Freepik website, but two days later I received an email:We have analyzed your downloads and consider that your download pattern is fraudulent.
No mention of this law anywhere. No matter how many times I emailed them, they did not answer
I put all my artworks in FREEPIK to earn money as a contributor, but after a month of having a 1000+ assets of artwork in FREEPIK, they won't let me login to my account. They scam people to put your artworks in their platform then they will close your account. What a scam. Now my dashboard won't show and it's just a loading screen. I even emailed them to fix my account. But they just said that
"We are sorry to inform you that the support team is unable to provide more information about your case, please contact directly our copyright team at *******@freepik.com."
I needed a few photos and after looking around this was the best value I could get. I gave 4 stars because after cancelling the subscription I was still billed for another month. I wrote to them and they send me a link to request a refund and advised I cancel the subscription again in my account. After doing this request and cancellation I immediately got refunded. I was a bit nervous based on the reviews but my experience had been great.
Purchased a subscription from them online, a few days later I saw that it was not for me after all. Submitted PayPall claim. Then contacted customer service. Clerk tells me that I have to delete the PayPall claim first, to receive the refund. Did that, then they tell me it is impossible to get the refund. Reason why, they don't say anything about it. Perhaps it had mainly to do with the fact that they were afraid of the PayPall claim, that PayPall would accept the teruble payment - if they do not respond. I never visit the platform, customer service is really corrupt! Watch what you do here!
I wanted to become contributor but having problem. I filled out everything correct but the freepik support writes me ID number and country must match in both ID and BI. What is nonsense, Therefore they rejected my ID and BI. I live in Germany but my nationality is Czech. So how can be the countries the same, when my ID card was issued in Czech Republic?
Again: I DONT LIVE in Czech Republic. I LIVE in GERMANY, I was born in Czech Republic, so the nationality is Czech. I live in Germany therefore the billing address is in Germany, I need invoices for German address, I have no Czech address. You send me all the time nonsense, It doesnt worth for me the time to continue when I have to discuss such stupid things which has no head and no heel.
Their answer? "We are very sorry if you don't have any German ID matching the billing info, it's not possible to collect the winnings on Freepik"
I am also a buyer and have yearly Premium Membership. After this experience I cancel my Premium Membership. There is a lot of other websites.
I've been a member of Freepik since 2016 and have loved the wide variety of resources for my design business. I've always found customer service to be helpful, especially on account enquires. If you're a designer you need Freepik in your life as it just saves sooo much time and your work will be super professional.
My drawing was stolen and sold on their platform and they didn't take any action after being notified. They sell it as premium stock.
Please don't use their service, you can buy a picture that they don't have rights to sell and get you in trouble.
This page will charge you randomly, and the customer service has no response, just the standard message. No one helps, and you can't cancel your subscription. Horrific in every way. AVOID
Was a customer for many years, subscription of $9.99USD a month. With zero warning they cancel my subscription thru Paypal and send me a link to re-subscribe at $24.99USD a month. More than %150 increase in price. I contacted support and they do not care in the least. A too bad attitude was shown.
I have been with this company for years, and they canceled my subscription, and forced me into a plan that's nearly 3 times the price. A company that doesn't grandfather their loyal customers, truly never cared about them. Greed changes people.
Customer service is not responsive and told me that I copyright infringed on a previous artwork. Even after asking 3 times about the artwork I have infringed, they could not provide any reference artwork. They then closed my account without any further E-Mails and kept all my money.
I bought an image using an advertised discount for $12. However, they charged me $180. I tried canceling the premium account online, but days later, it reverted back to a premium account. They won't let me cancel my account now saying they can't cancel it while my subscription is still active.
Stay away from this company. The only way around this appears to be canceling my credit card and getting another.
Extremely poor customer service. Rude and dismissive. Randomly cancelled my account a couple of months ago and just would not admit they had made a mistake. Was TOLD to create a new account and then lost all my saved libraries. Now to top of off, they are slugging subscribers with a 67% increase. This was all I needed to go elsewhere. Greedy and disgusting scammers.
I have been a premium member over three years now. Their support was never very good. They don't even bother to add a name to their emails, only "team". Recently, they cancelled my subscribtion, claiming they have tried to credit my payment multiple times without success. Any sane company would wait a few days before re-crediting. They do it in succession, which only leaves me to think this is a way to force long-lasting members into their new and more expensive subscription model, as a re-activation of membership will cost you 24 USD a year more. That is not the end of the world, but their downloads are limited to 100 items (even for premium members), which can really screw up your project when you're under pressure and are on a deadline. Their support was never very good: It's unfriendly, unpersonal and arrogant at times (as many have reported). They are not at all flexible and difficult to deal with. A reason why I am switching to Vecteezy now, as they have very good reviews. I hope they are better.
After subscribing to use their premium images, I downloaded one and it was of very poor quality. I contacted Freepik about it and included images for reference. Despite contacting them more than once, via email and social media, I didn't receive a response, let alone a refund.
Answer: They're largely unresponsive. I filled out the online contact form, but they never responded.
Answer: They have vast amount of images and they are very functional. By contrast, vecteezy only allow you to sell 50 copies.
Answer: They supposedly had what others didn't have. The price was OK, but later turned out they charged much, much more than the price that was listed.
