I didn't understand about my transactions but I have been assisted by the support team. I really appreciate the great support that you showed me
Actually I didn't expect this from a support center. Generally support centers don't have exact answers. But freelancer support center is an exception. It's amazing. They actually understand our problem and gives us immediate solution. Also helps to identify is the root cause and some it so that the problem doesnt happen next time. I was charged automatically. But they helped me how I can avoid this.
Polite, clever, he helped me immensely.
When I registered, I connected a professional membership plan for a free trial period, thinking that at the end I will automatically switch to normal. It turned out that this was not the case and my money was transferred from my account. For me it was an astronomical sum.
Troy quickly found it resolved to and helped me get the money back.
Thank you very much, Troy. And thanks to the resource for such employees.
I was worried about a specific project on Freelancer.com. Specifically, I wasn't sure if completing it would get me in trouble or not. Thankfully, this member of customer support helped me with my situation and let me know that the project was valid. She did her job well.
Jon was very helpful in assisting me at Freelancer.com this afternoon. I had a few inquiries regarding my membership plan. I was unclear of the details and he made me aware of the plan.
I had a question and it got answered.
Thank you Roxanne!
At least a hundred characters? Come on!
They understood my issue right away and helped me fix my issue fast you should hire more employees because I did wait a long time for someone to help me
Very good experience. I get all the answers in time and very happy with the support. Thank you so much
Fast response with great understanding and helpful solutions to solve my problem.
Specific questions to get the problem exactly.
Thank you for your help!
Freelancer has great support team and they are very responsive and always take care that query is getting resolved quickly. Thanks again Support team and specially Crystal. I am very happy now :)
Good support and the answers given were sufficient. Although I think it could have been a bit faster in my eyes - used to work CS as well. But over all, good experience, and much better service compared to some other bigger and smaller companies online.
Support works perfectly. They solved my issue in the best way it could be done. You can even find some good projects here time to time!
Had a problem related to a contest where she had been selected as winner, but could not upload the final files
I accidentally accepted a bid when I was trying to view the message. I was billed through PayPal and immediately began googling the best way to fix my mistake. I couldn't find anything to resolve my issue. I reached out to the chat team and was paired up with Kathrine. Initially I was afraid that I had lost money - but she was able to assist me and even refund my fees. I would have been up all night panicking had she not helped. I wish I could hug her. Thank you, thank you, thank YOU!
Freelancer is an awful site. If a project is canceled, they still take 10% even if you're not paid. They are a horrible greedy site. Your ideas are also not protected and It is not a professionally run site in my opinion. Just don't use it, you are not protected as a user.
Sandra was great and promptly took care of a refund when I realized I was billed automatically for a month of service after the trial expired.
When I bid on a fake project. Sandra T. Helped me to find the deleted project and promptly get a refund for my "highlight" fee.
Thanks so much!
Faye was amazing. She understood my concern and helped me out without any fuss. I love your site, and so glad I don't have to find a different freelance site to work with
Great experience with customer service. I had a problem and they listened and found a solution right away. Very pleased.
Answer: It is a PR platform that enables scammers to appear legitimate or verified. Freelancer doesn't care. They get a sizeable commission no matter if the posting is legitimate or not. Example: A fake ebook listing. Needs author to write 50000 words for US$ 2000. Unwitting freelancer bids and is 'awarded project' with message saying hurry up and accept. Once accepted, freelancer takes 'project fee' while you get tied up in their help callcenter trying to recoup not only the fee but potentially the fake employer gleaned from you using their platform. This site will be in the news soon. Trust me.
Answer: Hi Dejan. This happened to me in 2014, I lost a lot of money too, I withdrew the money on a Wednesday after the client had paid me $1000 in full. Then the next day, Thursday, I got a message that my withdrawal request was cancelled and the money reversed back to employer. My account was suspended and when I asked why, I was told that the employer looked like he was fraudulent and that the money might be fraud. Up to date, I am still bitter, angry and sad over that $1000 but I never got it back and Freelancer closed the person's account and that was that. So I hope this answers some of your questions and I am deeply sorry for your loss after such hard work. All the best
Answer: Freelancer.com focused on employer only, they just want as many employer and project as they can regardless of their country, verification status and deposits. However all the restriction is for employee. This is the reason Freelancer didn't stop them to post project without deposit. Almost 90% projects are fake (either posted by freelancer itself or fake/fraud employers). You have to be careful. Keep following things in mind will prevent you from fraud much. 1. Don't work for Employers from India/Bangladesh/Sri Lanka/Nigeria/Israel 2. Don't work for Employers whose name looks like Indian 3. Once the project is awarded to you, don't accept it unless the employer created initial milestone. Wait for at least 12 hours after milestone creation then accept it. 4. Ask for release step by step, don't work on next milestone unless previous is not released 5. Withdraw money from freelancer as fast as you can.
Answer: You can't say its fake but at the same time you can't just trust it fully. My point here is: people do get things done for the price but when it comes to money/payment, you can not trust freelancer. Sometimes it gets reversed from your account and you won't even get a satisfactory reason for it. I suffered a loss of 900 USD. All I get to hear that employer had some account issues and we can not disclose this any further. If you looking to work as a freelancer, go odesk or upwork and any other site first and then freelancer.com. Small incident: I worked for a client, designed the logo got the parent for it. Next day when looged in, my account showed negative balance ( payment reversed). Support: employer have acc. Issues Client: never came back or responded to any mails. Result: I worked and still in debt.
Answer: Dispute it with PayPal! Another beautiful example of why everyone hates Freelancer.
Answer: Freelancer is scam. I have very bad experience recently. "The payments you've received from your employer "-----------" were reversed due to their account issues. As a result, their account was closed" Lost over 800$. Freelancer also keep the fee for this job! Their support never answer. SCAM
Answer: Agree, do not use credit card details - freelancer is a terrible organisation when it comes to finances - they just debit your card at will, no warning, no opportunity to review the transaction, no notification of the charge - you just find out once you get your bank statement. Be very, very wary of this company - not saying their dodgy, BUT they are very devious when it comes to transactions. I think their motto is - "debit any time, just don't tell them and they wont complain"
Answer: Contact Paypal and file a dispute. I got a refund for the monthly amount that they should not have charged me for.
Answer: Good afternoon Rostyslav, unfortunately this has happened to most users of Freelancer including people who have been awarded projects. Ensure that you do not start any work or event accept a project until the following criteria have been met: 1. Project awarded 2. Initial milestone/deposit created 3. Client agrees to release the first payment immediately after you accepting the project. If they are unable to do this, tell then politely that you are unwilling to start on the project and keep looking for honest, legitimate clients. Be careful at all time on this website, even if you do vey thing by the book and the client still doesn't pay, the Freelancer support team will not help you. It is left to you to contact the client and chase the payment even of they delete their account.
Answer: Don't share you card. Use Paypal. First of all don't use freelancer they are scammers.
