I didn't know that I subscribed for membership and need to annually pay $30, but signed the agreement at registration stage. I received a notification from my bank saying that $30 were withdrawn. I understand that it's not a big amount of money, but it has an effect on my budget. I called to my bank and asked if they could get back my money, they said, if I signed the agreement, they couldn't do anything. What a pity.
No way, I wrote an e-mail to freelancer support and explained the situation. However, I didn't even have hope to return that money. In about 15 minutes I received a response from them saying that money was transferred back to my bank account. It was really pleasure to hear that. I was happy like a lil kid.:)
Moreover, I received another e-mail with detailed explanation of transfer, why money was withdrawn. I admitted my fault, but whatever, their prompt response and help, client oriented approach was excellent.
I really recommend people to work with these folks, because they are honest with job they do everyday.
With regard, Abzal, Kazakhstan.
This guy has done lots of work for me and I found out he's so talented in so many ways. Web design he add pics etc. Am just so proud of him
Thank you! I got all I needed right solved, I was confused about the status of my account confirmation, because received simultaneously two emails and got confused.
My entry was taken off the contest list and I was very much worried. Thankfully Ethal J helped me with this issue. Very kind and professional.
I made a withdrawal for the first, and i had to used the express alternative, but later discovered it not available for my country and i had waited for 15 days for it. Was scared that my funds will be lost, but i was guided and assured of my funds, and that the pending withdrawal will not be affected as well. Thanks.
My issue is not resolved yet but Henry helped me with my concern and went extra miles by giving additional tips on how to avoid this from happening again. Thank you!
Antoinette B. Was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with my situation. I did not feel rushed. Even though this was via chat I felt that my needs were valued and she provide me with the quality of care as if we were on the phone.
The support I received was quick and solved the issue in a few minutes. The support was polite and crisp.
I was guided properly. Great service. All of my concerns were handled properly and were answered in a proper manner. Excellent service.

The adviser took the time to investigate my issue and provide a specific solution instead of a copy paste fix.
Benny always give me great support, very nice support from freelancer team, you give me support regards any issue and I'm very happy with it, Thanks a lot.
It is the first time I use Freelancer and I must say, is such a good service! Will use it very soon again!
The interaction by chat it's been a good experience. They offer the right help at the right moment.
And in a kind way.
My interactions with your support staff has been consistently excellent - Amanda Clements, Chester Lee, Kayla B and Donna are some of the names of who I have interacted with.
However, the speed with which issues get addressed needs to be improved as well as snafus getting to communicate with the staff in the first place.
Your support staff is the only reason I havent quit yet. But you got to get them help at other levels.
They get a 10 on 5 and the other parts.
Freelancer has awesome support for their users. Namely, Amanda Clemens provided me with great support executed with a positive attitude. I recommend Freelancer.com to any freelancer because it appears that they really value their community members.
I gave two stars for the Freelancer experience because, with the expertise of systems engineers, I still am convinced the option to edit the freelancer's preferred name with the regular Freelancer account is more than doable. By reactivating that feature, freelancers can save up, that is, without having to pay more by subscribing to a corporate account. Nonetheless, I appreciate the help of Matthew, whose service I rated five stars. Thank you.
My freelancer did not read the brief before she signed up and once chosen as the winner things did not go so smoothly.
I would not chose this lady again.
I am not familiar with dispute procedure, I was expecting for the Dispute ID #******* result in my case, please help, my website www.electronicpro.co.za, NOTHING GETS DONE, bug is still existed, 500 (Internal Server) Error, the freelancer ( mizanrobi) DIDN'T DO THE JOB THAT WAS REQUESTED.
Please help to get back my milestone US$120
I didn't get the message to pay US$6 to carry on with arbitration, if I did receive the message I would pay and I knew the dispute will be in my favour, the freelancer wasn't doing the job requested, he copied the website and asked to shift the webhost, instead of fix the bug from existing webhost. If its just a copy website, why should I hide him for?
Freelancer release my milestone to a freelancer that did NOT complete anything. Freelancer is the one to fix its own mess. Freelancer is so louzy its already another month gone, I will NOT WAIT your " reply ", I will forward my experience to every community I know until the justice is done.
Good Day,
I was recently assisted by your customer service consultant, by the name of Frieda S.
He response was quick and her communication was informative and thorough.
I was very impressed with her customer service, and she should be commended for representing your company professionally.
Thanks Frieda.
Kind regards,
Paul Hugo
Answer: It is a PR platform that enables scammers to appear legitimate or verified. Freelancer doesn't care. They get a sizeable commission no matter if the posting is legitimate or not. Example: A fake ebook listing. Needs author to write 50000 words for US$ 2000. Unwitting freelancer bids and is 'awarded project' with message saying hurry up and accept. Once accepted, freelancer takes 'project fee' while you get tied up in their help callcenter trying to recoup not only the fee but potentially the fake employer gleaned from you using their platform. This site will be in the news soon. Trust me.
Answer: Hi Dejan. This happened to me in 2014, I lost a lot of money too, I withdrew the money on a Wednesday after the client had paid me $1000 in full. Then the next day, Thursday, I got a message that my withdrawal request was cancelled and the money reversed back to employer. My account was suspended and when I asked why, I was told that the employer looked like he was fraudulent and that the money might be fraud. Up to date, I am still bitter, angry and sad over that $1000 but I never got it back and Freelancer closed the person's account and that was that. So I hope this answers some of your questions and I am deeply sorry for your loss after such hard work. All the best
Answer: Freelancer.com focused on employer only, they just want as many employer and project as they can regardless of their country, verification status and deposits. However all the restriction is for employee. This is the reason Freelancer didn't stop them to post project without deposit. Almost 90% projects are fake (either posted by freelancer itself or fake/fraud employers). You have to be careful. Keep following things in mind will prevent you from fraud much. 1. Don't work for Employers from India/Bangladesh/Sri Lanka/Nigeria/Israel 2. Don't work for Employers whose name looks like Indian 3. Once the project is awarded to you, don't accept it unless the employer created initial milestone. Wait for at least 12 hours after milestone creation then accept it. 4. Ask for release step by step, don't work on next milestone unless previous is not released 5. Withdraw money from freelancer as fast as you can.
Answer: You can't say its fake but at the same time you can't just trust it fully. My point here is: people do get things done for the price but when it comes to money/payment, you can not trust freelancer. Sometimes it gets reversed from your account and you won't even get a satisfactory reason for it. I suffered a loss of 900 USD. All I get to hear that employer had some account issues and we can not disclose this any further. If you looking to work as a freelancer, go odesk or upwork and any other site first and then freelancer.com. Small incident: I worked for a client, designed the logo got the parent for it. Next day when looged in, my account showed negative balance ( payment reversed). Support: employer have acc. Issues Client: never came back or responded to any mails. Result: I worked and still in debt.
Answer: Dispute it with PayPal! Another beautiful example of why everyone hates Freelancer.
Answer: Freelancer is scam. I have very bad experience recently. "The payments you've received from your employer "-----------" were reversed due to their account issues. As a result, their account was closed" Lost over 800$. Freelancer also keep the fee for this job! Their support never answer. SCAM
Answer: Agree, do not use credit card details - freelancer is a terrible organisation when it comes to finances - they just debit your card at will, no warning, no opportunity to review the transaction, no notification of the charge - you just find out once you get your bank statement. Be very, very wary of this company - not saying their dodgy, BUT they are very devious when it comes to transactions. I think their motto is - "debit any time, just don't tell them and they wont complain"
Answer: Contact Paypal and file a dispute. I got a refund for the monthly amount that they should not have charged me for.
Answer: Good afternoon Rostyslav, unfortunately this has happened to most users of Freelancer including people who have been awarded projects. Ensure that you do not start any work or event accept a project until the following criteria have been met: 1. Project awarded 2. Initial milestone/deposit created 3. Client agrees to release the first payment immediately after you accepting the project. If they are unable to do this, tell then politely that you are unwilling to start on the project and keep looking for honest, legitimate clients. Be careful at all time on this website, even if you do vey thing by the book and the client still doesn't pay, the Freelancer support team will not help you. It is left to you to contact the client and chase the payment even of they delete their account.
Answer: Don't share you card. Use Paypal. First of all don't use freelancer they are scammers.
