She explain very well the information i need. Thanks to her explanation i just understand thing i need to know.
Quick and to the point. Frieda was helpful and timely helping me settle a fraud claim. I'm new to Freelancer and this was either gunna keep me here or I was never going to use the service depending on this interaction.
Dear readers and fellow freelancers
I was attracted by the freelancer.com reviews, most of which holding 5-star rating and nice narrations from other users (which are mostly manufactured by freelancer.com's paid review writers). At the beginning I found the site user friendly but with the course of time in the name of web development and facility enhancement for the users though the freelancer.com authority introduced some extraordinary ideas, within these they also set up the horrible plans of squeezing the users.
The site owners only give advantage to the clients and project advertisers and never help the contractors if their money is stolen by dint of malicious practices. I was robbed of my earned project fees even though I completed all necessary precautionary steps. So it seems to me there is some sort of connection between the ill motivated contractors and the freelancer.com authority.
Since it is a virtual world and a contractor has very limited ability of raising a complain to legal authority so the freelancer.com takes this advantage. Though it is their obligation to check and verify each and every contractors financial background but they don't do that as a mandatory practice. They allow everyone to launch a project in their site and those scrupulous clients get easy chance of cheating the hard earned contractors' money. Whenever my money is stolen by a client the freelancer.com support team only indicated the reason as the client used an unauthorized payment source so his/her money is returned back.
What a joke, who has to check whether a client's payment source is legal or illegal, do this falls on the responsibility of a contractor? But what happened to my sorrow in the last two years is whenever money that I received in my escrow fund and then it is again sucked out from my account and diverted to the client, the freelancer.com team just advised me to be more vigilant.
I am vigilant since the first incident of loosing money two years back occurred but I cannot control things which are under the only authority of freelancer.com team. The freelancer.com authority is straightaway linked to cyber crime, this authority must be brought under legal procedure otherwise many more innocent contractors will face financial demurrage. So it's time to raise voice against all illegal operations of freelancer.com and be alert about their dishonesty.
One of my contractors from USA entitled "babaelinn" by whom I was engaged for academic writing several times got away with the money after one week of full payment is made and 5-star rating providing. When I raised a ticket to freelancer.com help team they overlooked my issue for a longer period of time. After giving them several reminders I got a response from them that the client violated terms and condition of freelancer.com by posting academic writing project which falls under academic cheating so they cancelled the project and returned the project's value to the client by deducting my earned money which was under escrow system! So where is the safety of your money if it can be sucked out without any prior notice?
See what whimsical practices the freelancer.com do. When the project was launched they did not do anything after everything is settled they became conscious. Even these days you can find that freelancer.com is flourished with many academic writing projects, the freelancer.com authority is letting those be launched. In the last two years their malpractice crossed all limits and I have learned that they are continuing with the robbing of money from so many freelancers.
This post is made to alert all and raise your voice about this scrupulous organization.

I was not able to communicate with the employer after bidding on the project. Kayla B clarified me and I need to wait for employer to respond back to me before I respond back.
I had problems with receiving account verification email. After a few minutes chat with Frieda I get my account verified.
Thank you Frieda for you guide. You gave me a good guide for accept project on freelancer. It's a useful message for me. Thank you again Frieda.
Received assistance in easy and clear way which helped me to resolve my issue with full satisfaction.
The issue I have been following up has been finally resolved and it only took a few minutes. Phew! It won't be long before I delete my account here. For now, I'm being careful with my transactions. Freelancer could be traumatizing for a newbie.
Answer: It is a PR platform that enables scammers to appear legitimate or verified. Freelancer doesn't care. They get a sizeable commission no matter if the posting is legitimate or not. Example: A fake ebook listing. Needs author to write 50000 words for US$ 2000. Unwitting freelancer bids and is 'awarded project' with message saying hurry up and accept. Once accepted, freelancer takes 'project fee' while you get tied up in their help callcenter trying to recoup not only the fee but potentially the fake employer gleaned from you using their platform. This site will be in the news soon. Trust me.
Answer: Hi Dejan. This happened to me in 2014, I lost a lot of money too, I withdrew the money on a Wednesday after the client had paid me $1000 in full. Then the next day, Thursday, I got a message that my withdrawal request was cancelled and the money reversed back to employer. My account was suspended and when I asked why, I was told that the employer looked like he was fraudulent and that the money might be fraud. Up to date, I am still bitter, angry and sad over that $1000 but I never got it back and Freelancer closed the person's account and that was that. So I hope this answers some of your questions and I am deeply sorry for your loss after such hard work. All the best
Answer: Freelancer.com focused on employer only, they just want as many employer and project as they can regardless of their country, verification status and deposits. However all the restriction is for employee. This is the reason Freelancer didn't stop them to post project without deposit. Almost 90% projects are fake (either posted by freelancer itself or fake/fraud employers). You have to be careful. Keep following things in mind will prevent you from fraud much. 1. Don't work for Employers from India/Bangladesh/Sri Lanka/Nigeria/Israel 2. Don't work for Employers whose name looks like Indian 3. Once the project is awarded to you, don't accept it unless the employer created initial milestone. Wait for at least 12 hours after milestone creation then accept it. 4. Ask for release step by step, don't work on next milestone unless previous is not released 5. Withdraw money from freelancer as fast as you can.
Answer: You can't say its fake but at the same time you can't just trust it fully. My point here is: people do get things done for the price but when it comes to money/payment, you can not trust freelancer. Sometimes it gets reversed from your account and you won't even get a satisfactory reason for it. I suffered a loss of 900 USD. All I get to hear that employer had some account issues and we can not disclose this any further. If you looking to work as a freelancer, go odesk or upwork and any other site first and then freelancer.com. Small incident: I worked for a client, designed the logo got the parent for it. Next day when looged in, my account showed negative balance ( payment reversed). Support: employer have acc. Issues Client: never came back or responded to any mails. Result: I worked and still in debt.
Answer: Dispute it with PayPal! Another beautiful example of why everyone hates Freelancer.
Answer: Freelancer is scam. I have very bad experience recently. "The payments you've received from your employer "-----------" were reversed due to their account issues. As a result, their account was closed" Lost over 800$. Freelancer also keep the fee for this job! Their support never answer. SCAM
Answer: Agree, do not use credit card details - freelancer is a terrible organisation when it comes to finances - they just debit your card at will, no warning, no opportunity to review the transaction, no notification of the charge - you just find out once you get your bank statement. Be very, very wary of this company - not saying their dodgy, BUT they are very devious when it comes to transactions. I think their motto is - "debit any time, just don't tell them and they wont complain"
Answer: Contact Paypal and file a dispute. I got a refund for the monthly amount that they should not have charged me for.
Answer: Good afternoon Rostyslav, unfortunately this has happened to most users of Freelancer including people who have been awarded projects. Ensure that you do not start any work or event accept a project until the following criteria have been met: 1. Project awarded 2. Initial milestone/deposit created 3. Client agrees to release the first payment immediately after you accepting the project. If they are unable to do this, tell then politely that you are unwilling to start on the project and keep looking for honest, legitimate clients. Be careful at all time on this website, even if you do vey thing by the book and the client still doesn't pay, the Freelancer support team will not help you. It is left to you to contact the client and chase the payment even of they delete their account.
Answer: Don't share you card. Use Paypal. First of all don't use freelancer they are scammers.
