Expressing gratitude to freelancer.com for their exceptional support, I encountered a situation where the client remained unresponsive to my messages despite a considerable waiting period. Seeking assistance from freelancer.com proved to be a valuable solution as they advised me to wait for a specific duration, and if the client failed to respond within that timeframe, they would close the project. Indeed, this course of action was implemented, highlighting the challenges freelancers often face due to employers. It is commendable that freelancer.com takes decisive measures like this to address such issues effectively.
It was really nice talking with Chelsea, she's very professional and helpful. She managed to explain well all about becoming a Verified by Freelancer. Thank you so much Freelancer for being a part of my life. I am lucky to have you.
They're very helpful and quick to respond.
Good at explaining problems.
They solve problems quickly.
What I like most about Freelancer Support is that who responds to you is a real human, not an artificial intelligence.
Freelancer.com provides opportunities for a lot of people who want to earn some extra revenue. Whether you are a job seeker or an employer, Freelancer also makes sure your hard work and money are safe. The site is pretty fair to all its users and is very well regulated. Been using it for a year and never encountered any issue whatsoever! The support team is great (I've been in contact with them every now and then for questions). Kudos Freelancer and Thank you!
I was charged the normal Freelancer Fee because an "employer" from Nigeria had accepted my bid and I had been so excited that I clicked on accept right away. However the project turned out to be a fraud and the kind support, Cyril C, who was chatting with me, blocked it down and immediately rectified my balance and the pending charge to my account. It was the easiest, most reassuring experience. I felt like Freelancer has my back and they are only too happy to make sure everybody is having a smooth work experience. Once he was done helping with the situation, he also gave me several tips to avoid a similar problem.
I accidentally awarded a contest within a few hours of opening. The customer services agent very sensibly contacted both parties to resolve the issue. And made a thought out judgement when an agreement could not be reached. The fact that it felt like some one actually looked at the issue and made decisions based on the facts was fantastic.
I was expecting a standard bland email/response
Thank you for your help. It has helped me to trust the freelancer site for future use.
My journey so far on freelancer has been good. Sure there have been ups and downs, but on drawing an average, the outcome is definitely satisfactory and one that deserves acknowledgement. Sometimes things do fall out of line, for example my freelancer verified badge for which I paid $99 has gone missing since the night before and I still have no idea why, but am confident that it will be sorted out soon courtesy of the ticket that I submitted. Overall, I am grateful for the global exposure that this platform affords and sincerely hope that it continues to smooth out the few glitches that hinder daily operations. Thank You Freelancer! Keep Up the Good Work & Keep Improving!
It was really nice talking with Russell V. She was polite and thorough helpful.
I have been working here since 2014. I have a great working experience and this is a largest market place I have worked ever.
Most important thing is freelancer.com website and mobile app developers are improving it rapidly and I like the latest features they introduce.
Tax fee (service charges) is also low for freelancers as compare to other similar platforms.
100% Recommended. Must try at least once.
It is been a great journey so far. Freelancer is place from where I started my career. After 4 years of hard work and dedication we now have a team of 20+ people. It surely helped us grown. Thank you :)
All experience I've got here at Freelancer is excellent. Even if you have troubles with identify verification due to IP changes or places from where you connect to site it goes smoothly and without any delays. Pleasure to communicate with support.
I work on daily basis in Freelancer.com. 50% of my revenue comes from Freelancer.com. They have very helping support staff and their PF program helps best freelancers to grow. I will recommend this site to everyone who wants to start freelancing.
I spoke with Joey C.
The interview made sense to me, it had an introduction part and then some technical questions. They obviously wanna make sure that they only approve those who are a real person and know some stuff they claim to have knowledge of.
This is the WORST website for freelancing out there! You'll be charged for the simplest things, like breathing! Huh! I was awarded a 15$ project which did not work out well, so upon discussing with the client, the project was cancelled. No payments were made. But this site STILL charges 5$ from me! For what? Exactly!
I would advice anyone against using this. Trust me, there are way better websites you can earn from, for cheaper fees. Upwork is the best so far. They only charge 10% from what you earn and that too, will be charged ONLY when the client pays you.Don't make the mistake I made and spend over here even before you start earning!
Freelancer has always had a problem with anyone I have talked to in regards to validating your account, bullying others and overcharging.
Here's a new low though, they TOOK over $500 for a project that was done over 4 months ago and never notified me! This is a very new low and we are now working on federal actions as we have heard this happening to 20 other freelancers.
Freelancer.com is 100% unethical and doing ILLEGAL actions. Why else would they do it in a sneaky way?
Again, we have had to use countless measures and assistance from my lawyer to deal with other issues but this issue right here is an all time low! If there was a problem with the employee's account and they tricked Freelancer.com in regards to money, freelancers should not have to carry the financial burden and loose the money 4 MONTHS LATER!
Hello Mercy, Marcus of Freelancer.com here. I understand how frustrating it can be, funds being reversed after output has been delivered to the employer. Did someone from our Tier-2 support assisted you already? If not, send me the details of your issue at marcusc@freelancer.com and I'll have my team look into your billing concerns. Thank you.
So far I have talked with many recruiter for many purposes but Alexander stand out most and went above to help me. This is why I love to use Freelancer, great support with very professional behavior that make you feel valued.
Kelly V. really understand the concern first and act as a human. And do his/her job with efforts i hope everyone will be like him/her
Really great. Actually all of your support are great maybe im just stress and frustrated for my problem. In my account
I had tried to unsubscribe, and I suppose it didn't go through and I ended up incurring charges for a few months. Deana R. Was extremely helpful in helping me sort out the situation and get a refund. I'm working more full time now, but I have a lot of friends that work free lance and I will certainly recommend this service to them on customer service alone.
I had a fantastic experience with the freelancer support staff. They were not only prompt in responding to my queries but also incredibly helpful. Whenever I encountered any issues or needed assistance, they guided me through the process with patience and professionalism. It's reassuring to know that their support is just a message away.
Spoke with Kevin R and he was more than helpful and made it a very smooth conversation. He not only resolved my problem in a timely manner but also directed me on where to go if i had any more questions.
Answer: It is a PR platform that enables scammers to appear legitimate or verified. Freelancer doesn't care. They get a sizeable commission no matter if the posting is legitimate or not. Example: A fake ebook listing. Needs author to write 50000 words for US$ 2000. Unwitting freelancer bids and is 'awarded project' with message saying hurry up and accept. Once accepted, freelancer takes 'project fee' while you get tied up in their help callcenter trying to recoup not only the fee but potentially the fake employer gleaned from you using their platform. This site will be in the news soon. Trust me.
Answer: Hi Dejan. This happened to me in 2014, I lost a lot of money too, I withdrew the money on a Wednesday after the client had paid me $1000 in full. Then the next day, Thursday, I got a message that my withdrawal request was cancelled and the money reversed back to employer. My account was suspended and when I asked why, I was told that the employer looked like he was fraudulent and that the money might be fraud. Up to date, I am still bitter, angry and sad over that $1000 but I never got it back and Freelancer closed the person's account and that was that. So I hope this answers some of your questions and I am deeply sorry for your loss after such hard work. All the best
Answer: Freelancer.com focused on employer only, they just want as many employer and project as they can regardless of their country, verification status and deposits. However all the restriction is for employee. This is the reason Freelancer didn't stop them to post project without deposit. Almost 90% projects are fake (either posted by freelancer itself or fake/fraud employers). You have to be careful. Keep following things in mind will prevent you from fraud much. 1. Don't work for Employers from India/Bangladesh/Sri Lanka/Nigeria/Israel 2. Don't work for Employers whose name looks like Indian 3. Once the project is awarded to you, don't accept it unless the employer created initial milestone. Wait for at least 12 hours after milestone creation then accept it. 4. Ask for release step by step, don't work on next milestone unless previous is not released 5. Withdraw money from freelancer as fast as you can.
Answer: You can't say its fake but at the same time you can't just trust it fully. My point here is: people do get things done for the price but when it comes to money/payment, you can not trust freelancer. Sometimes it gets reversed from your account and you won't even get a satisfactory reason for it. I suffered a loss of 900 USD. All I get to hear that employer had some account issues and we can not disclose this any further. If you looking to work as a freelancer, go odesk or upwork and any other site first and then freelancer.com. Small incident: I worked for a client, designed the logo got the parent for it. Next day when looged in, my account showed negative balance ( payment reversed). Support: employer have acc. Issues Client: never came back or responded to any mails. Result: I worked and still in debt.
Answer: Dispute it with PayPal! Another beautiful example of why everyone hates Freelancer.
Answer: Freelancer is scam. I have very bad experience recently. "The payments you've received from your employer "-----------" were reversed due to their account issues. As a result, their account was closed" Lost over 800$. Freelancer also keep the fee for this job! Their support never answer. SCAM
Answer: Agree, do not use credit card details - freelancer is a terrible organisation when it comes to finances - they just debit your card at will, no warning, no opportunity to review the transaction, no notification of the charge - you just find out once you get your bank statement. Be very, very wary of this company - not saying their dodgy, BUT they are very devious when it comes to transactions. I think their motto is - "debit any time, just don't tell them and they wont complain"
Answer: Contact Paypal and file a dispute. I got a refund for the monthly amount that they should not have charged me for.
Answer: Good afternoon Rostyslav, unfortunately this has happened to most users of Freelancer including people who have been awarded projects. Ensure that you do not start any work or event accept a project until the following criteria have been met: 1. Project awarded 2. Initial milestone/deposit created 3. Client agrees to release the first payment immediately after you accepting the project. If they are unable to do this, tell then politely that you are unwilling to start on the project and keep looking for honest, legitimate clients. Be careful at all time on this website, even if you do vey thing by the book and the client still doesn't pay, the Freelancer support team will not help you. It is left to you to contact the client and chase the payment even of they delete their account.
Answer: Don't share you card. Use Paypal. First of all don't use freelancer they are scammers.
