Best customer service experience. The response was not timely because of the time difference,, but I was assured that behind the scenes my requests were being worked on. I am thankful.
It was super experience with the freelancer staff. He asked right questions for verification.
My journey with Freelancer has been a rewarding one. It has been a platform where I found many opportunities and connected with numerous professionals. The range of projects available is impressive, catering to a variety of skills and interests.
That being said, there were a few hurdles along the way. At times, it was challenging to communicate with clients, and the platform's dispute resolution mechanism could be more streamlined.
The website interface is generally user-friendly, but I found some features a bit difficult to navigate at first. Also, it would be great to have more advanced filters for job search to make the matching process more efficient.
Despite these minor issues, I've found the Freelancer platform to be a valuable resource in my professional journey. It is a platform that opens up global opportunities, and with a few tweaks, it could be even better.
I am pleasantly surprised by the seriousness with which Freelancer takes its applications for verification. Not like many other platforms where you can just pay and get a verification badge. I was properly interviewed and asked to provide professional and identity-related information through a process handled very smoothly and efficiently by my Freelancer manager, Joey. Thanks for giving me the confidence that this is a professional, genuine platform and I can have a long-term, mutually beneficial and professional relationship with it.
Great Platform for freelancers, with a great support team.
Great! She helped me to further understand and reassured me.
On time assistance my problem is solved thank you
I will contact again if any issue
Have a nice day
I had a video interview with Freelancer.com staff and it was very smooth and professional. They asked me some questions about my skills, experience and portfolio and verified my identity and documents. The whole process took less than 15 minutes and I got my blue badge right away. I'm very happy with the service and I'm looking forward to working on more projects with higher value and quality. Thank you Verified by Freelancer!
The contractors on this site are weasels. They always ask for more money and try to find some dishonest technical reason for why.
The site itself has this auto-bidding feature that ensures the contractors who bid on your project have no idea what they bid on when you contact them.
There is not reason to use this site unless you want your time wasted. I am extremely disappointeed in them. They are unethical by nature.
I registered with Freelancer to try to do some admin work in my free time.
To make some extra money for my family. I have great admin experience of 15 days.
I applied for a job and got the job. It all seemed legit. I sent my CV etc. The work was to type up 200 pages.
I did that and I was meant to get paid $2200. When that time came, I was not paid.
I contacted freelancer and they will not assist me.
I spent 3 days way from my family doing this work. The company I worked for wont pay me and freelancer wont assist me.
All they have done was stop this scam artist from posting jobs.
I have never tried this site before and I was just trying to make extra money.
If freelancer didn't allow scam artists on their site this would of never happened to me.
I am completely distraught. Freelancer will not even help and I trusted their site.
I would suggest that no one ever uses them they have done big damage to me by allowing scammers and they don't care.
Freelancer agent gave me the contact details for the person and told me to message them on whatsapp. Now they telling me they cannot assist. It is their JOB to get my money out of the scammer and pay it to me. Emotionally I am beyond messed up from this.
Thanks to Joey C. Complete the verification process. Nice to talk with him. His supporting skill is nice
I had a rewarding experience with the support team. Communication was smooth,
Joey was very professional and helpful, punctual and straightforward
I have asked Jayce regarding the feature of Plus Membership which is the Daily Withdrawal Request, because I am deciding on whether I will upgrade my membership. She explained it thoroughly for me. And now I am tempted to upgrade my plan. Thank you Jayce!
I am lucky to be a freelancer in freelancer.com. In my log in problem I wanted to get support. I got it.
Very nice support.
I'm glad that this time it worked. I've contacted you before and then was told it was not possible to change it; and it indeed did not when I tried to change it via the same place. But now, after you've suggested it, it worked. Thank you
Answer: It is a PR platform that enables scammers to appear legitimate or verified. Freelancer doesn't care. They get a sizeable commission no matter if the posting is legitimate or not. Example: A fake ebook listing. Needs author to write 50000 words for US$ 2000. Unwitting freelancer bids and is 'awarded project' with message saying hurry up and accept. Once accepted, freelancer takes 'project fee' while you get tied up in their help callcenter trying to recoup not only the fee but potentially the fake employer gleaned from you using their platform. This site will be in the news soon. Trust me.
Answer: Hi Dejan. This happened to me in 2014, I lost a lot of money too, I withdrew the money on a Wednesday after the client had paid me $1000 in full. Then the next day, Thursday, I got a message that my withdrawal request was cancelled and the money reversed back to employer. My account was suspended and when I asked why, I was told that the employer looked like he was fraudulent and that the money might be fraud. Up to date, I am still bitter, angry and sad over that $1000 but I never got it back and Freelancer closed the person's account and that was that. So I hope this answers some of your questions and I am deeply sorry for your loss after such hard work. All the best
Answer: Freelancer.com focused on employer only, they just want as many employer and project as they can regardless of their country, verification status and deposits. However all the restriction is for employee. This is the reason Freelancer didn't stop them to post project without deposit. Almost 90% projects are fake (either posted by freelancer itself or fake/fraud employers). You have to be careful. Keep following things in mind will prevent you from fraud much. 1. Don't work for Employers from India/Bangladesh/Sri Lanka/Nigeria/Israel 2. Don't work for Employers whose name looks like Indian 3. Once the project is awarded to you, don't accept it unless the employer created initial milestone. Wait for at least 12 hours after milestone creation then accept it. 4. Ask for release step by step, don't work on next milestone unless previous is not released 5. Withdraw money from freelancer as fast as you can.
Answer: You can't say its fake but at the same time you can't just trust it fully. My point here is: people do get things done for the price but when it comes to money/payment, you can not trust freelancer. Sometimes it gets reversed from your account and you won't even get a satisfactory reason for it. I suffered a loss of 900 USD. All I get to hear that employer had some account issues and we can not disclose this any further. If you looking to work as a freelancer, go odesk or upwork and any other site first and then freelancer.com. Small incident: I worked for a client, designed the logo got the parent for it. Next day when looged in, my account showed negative balance ( payment reversed). Support: employer have acc. Issues Client: never came back or responded to any mails. Result: I worked and still in debt.
Answer: Dispute it with PayPal! Another beautiful example of why everyone hates Freelancer.
Answer: Freelancer is scam. I have very bad experience recently. "The payments you've received from your employer "-----------" were reversed due to their account issues. As a result, their account was closed" Lost over 800$. Freelancer also keep the fee for this job! Their support never answer. SCAM
Answer: Agree, do not use credit card details - freelancer is a terrible organisation when it comes to finances - they just debit your card at will, no warning, no opportunity to review the transaction, no notification of the charge - you just find out once you get your bank statement. Be very, very wary of this company - not saying their dodgy, BUT they are very devious when it comes to transactions. I think their motto is - "debit any time, just don't tell them and they wont complain"
Answer: Contact Paypal and file a dispute. I got a refund for the monthly amount that they should not have charged me for.
Answer: Good afternoon Rostyslav, unfortunately this has happened to most users of Freelancer including people who have been awarded projects. Ensure that you do not start any work or event accept a project until the following criteria have been met: 1. Project awarded 2. Initial milestone/deposit created 3. Client agrees to release the first payment immediately after you accepting the project. If they are unable to do this, tell then politely that you are unwilling to start on the project and keep looking for honest, legitimate clients. Be careful at all time on this website, even if you do vey thing by the book and the client still doesn't pay, the Freelancer support team will not help you. It is left to you to contact the client and chase the payment even of they delete their account.
Answer: Don't share you card. Use Paypal. First of all don't use freelancer they are scammers.
