Not only a terrible program but a scam. I wanted to try Fotor out and signed up for the 'free' trial. I canceled the same day but then received email saying my subscription was expiring. I canceled again I was still charged and disputed the charge but after investigating Amex replied Fotor said subscription wasn't refundable. CAUTION, DO NOT GET SUCKERED!
I tried the trial version of this company´s service and during that I was required to enter my credit card details. Even though I cancelled the subscription after 10 minutes, the company still charged me for 40 dollars! When I tried to contact them they simply did not answer. I wrote them about 10 messages. None of them was answered.
This company is absolute fraudulent, don´t even thinking of trying any of their products otherwise you´´ll be surprised.
I decided to use the site for some art generation, but I only got 5 free credits to start with. They offered a pro plan that was only about $40 a year, so I thought it seemed like a decent deal and attempted to sign up for one. Unfortunately, despite accurate card information and billing address, the website declined the payment on the grounds that it was apparently incorrect. No big deal, except when I stop to check my bank account, it clearly shows that there was INDEED a $40 deposit to Fotor, and that the payment went through successfully. Despite this, the service refuses to acknowledge in any way that I verifiably paid for the plan, and I am now short a good chunk of my checking account because of this. Do not use their services under any circumstances whatsoever.
This website advertises 3 days free trial. I canceled on the 3rd day and it still charged me $39 for an annual subscription and refused to give my money back. Total scam. Stay away.
I paid 11 Euros for a ai generated headshot and recieved absolute bull$#*!. Please dont waste your money like I did, I feel scammed.
I canceleed within the 3 days but they still charged $39.99. Only way to contact is through Whatsapp
OUTRIGHT FRAUD!
Picked the AI Avatar Generator option. Explicitly says you can use their tools for free. After going through a lengthy downloading process, I was asked to pay a hefty sum. There was no other option.
What's funny is the option for the AI Avatar Generator disappears after you do all this. I have a feeling that they don't even have the tools to make an avatar. It's just the same as their other image processors. So shady and deceitful. This is a Chinese company. If it was in the US, they would definitely be shut down for fraud.
Do not trust this site. I wouldn't even risk leaving my credit card info. Read the other reviews on how they will charge you without permission.
I discovered fotor a long time ago when another web based platform ceased operating. I've been a paying customer for professional use for over seven years and I believe I'm close to a ten year user. Many of these comments account on billing automation problems. It could just be this review site, however, I'd endorse the product as being exceptional when used well to execute professional quality art renderings, photo editing capabilities, storage longevity, reliability for long term storage use. It's great software. I'd give it a ten/ten.
I used them for 1 month April 2023, it was good during that time. They billed me automatic renewal, which is fine by me, however now that i am really using it, they don't let me login with my details, the portal kept on saying wrong email. I cannot reset password as the portal just keep on saying wrong email. Over and over again. I cannot speak to any customer service, you have to send an email to them which takes them 48 hours to respond, and after waiting patiently for 48 hours the problem has NOT BEEN RESOLVED! Don't buy this thing! I will dispute with my credit card company to get my money back!
I cancelled my subscription last November. Regardless they went into my account and stole $110 with zero notice they were going into my account until the day after they stole. Fotor ignored all communication from me until a dispute was put into PayPal, then I was advised that once they take the money they can't give it back. Upon further research with PayPal I noticed they upgraded my subscription and helped themselves to an extra $60 without my permission, unfortunately I did not notice at that time. Fotor does not send in confirmation of cancelation when you cancel a subscription so you can not dispute a charge when they go to steal it from you.
Be EXTREMELY careful with this company they are scam artists and know how to play you.
Thanks for stealing $110 from a single mother Fotor, real classy.
I ordered free trial and was charged $39.99 for a membership before the end of the three days. I cancelled before the end of the three days. When I contacted them, they relented and gave me a refund, but the refund was $4.99 less than they charged for the membership. I asked for the additional funds since this was their error, not mine. I was informed that $35 was the highest refund they could authorize. This company is a complete SCAM. Stay away.
Stay away from the Chinese fraud site! Do not sign up! They lie about they are a free trial! And they won't refund you!
Clicked for a free trial. Point of sale says after two days will charge £2 to £3 (can't remember exact figure). I cancelled trial within one hour because the service is very low tech. Paypal confirmed cancellation via email. Two days later they took £64 off me. I complained and they said I took out two subscriptions on my Paypal account. Complete lie. I am just waiting for my refund.
1. There are hidden charges.
2. They make it difficult for you to unsubscribe after you try the free trial
3. You have to APPLY when you cancel their services
4. This is a scammy app
Like many companies, Fotor advertised a free trial -- enter your credit card details and get 3 days free; cancel within the 3 days if you're not interested. So I entered my details, used the software for appx. 15 minutes, found it wasn't to my liking, and cancelled. 3 days later, Fotor has charged me £42.49 for "Fotor Pro+ Graphic Professional." They have no contact information, only a chat application which apparently generates a ticket. Other users have said they received no response at all, or they were told the company doesn't do refunds. This is straight up fraud. DO NOT USE.
I had a terrible experience. I ordered the pro plan. I received a confirmation email then it was canceled and replaced by the pro + plan without my consent. I was charged more than double the amount I agreed to. The day it happened I contacted customer services and had no help whatsoever to resolve the matter. They won't give back the money they stole from me. I feel scammed! I read other reviews of this happening to other people. My best advice: stay away!
Although advertised as free, it is not. They will continue to charge your card even AFTER you timely request to cancel. It is a poor business model for the consumer but great for them. Run!
Fotor is an easy site to use -- I only use the free options.
My usage is all in converting photos to 'art' -- you can select any of 20 filters and it will convert your photo to an impresstionist painting, pencil sketch, blue tone, multo-colored, cubist, van gogh-style, etc. picture. Very cool and VERY EASY. You can download a. Jpg of your altered photo (higher resolution photos are available with the paid package).
Only reason this didn't get 5 * is that the downloads have a big website logo in the corner of the picture. I go and photoshop it out and it's a pain. But the package is cool and easy to use.
Attached pictures are my original photo, the download with the logo, and after I removed the logo.
I hate companies who offer a free trial then charge your card at 3.30 am a day and a half early before your trial finishes. $88 for a year of this below-average photo editing program - I don't think so!
Excellent photo editor, cover designer and collage maker, the whole usage experience is nice. If you need to enhance selfie or other photos with a few clicks, Fotor is a great option.
Answer: A scam! Do not fall for the 'free trial' grift. There is no such thing
