I bought a vinyl album from Fnac, but there was 1 record of the 2 was missing. I was visiting France so I could only send it back via mail. Fnac also removed my negative review from their website.
I contacted customer service but they refused a refund as it was after 15 days. As I was traveling the record was not opened so I had no way to know a record was missing.
Very poor standards for a large company. I WILL AVOID using it anyway as the quality of their records has been poor as well.
I was due a refund for a show that didn't happen, in December last year but the account they used had been closed for months resulting in me not getting the money. After exchanging emails back and forth with their customer service, and me providing the document proving that the account was indeed closed, they asked me to wait. 6 months later and I still haven't received anything. I emailed them back one more time for them to reply that the original refund happened in December… yes but in an account that doesn't exist! Am I falling into deaf ears? So frustrating… thinking now about my next steps
The delivering will take forever, and I can't cancel the purchase, their phone is always occupied during 9:00-17:00, no chance to get through the line even to wait for hours, and they never answer email.
The most horrible customer service, if I could I would not even give one star. I ordered a product, which was not compatible with my camera, I returned it following all the lengthy procedures. It was confirmed that I would be reimbursed but three weeks later, I still have not received the reimbursement. On top, they have closed any communication related to my order stating that I have been reimbursed. Never seen such bad service, never order anything through them.
I bought a laptop from FNAC online in April which is faulty. Their customer service is the worst I have ever met. They insisted that I send it in to "repair" rather than return it, even though it is brand new and just opened. And they have had it 10 weeks with no return! Absolute nightmare to get through to them. Almost fraudulent in their lack of professionalism.
I ordered a Apple HV adaptor on line which arrived as expected. However one month later a further amount was just taken from my credit card account - supposedly relating to some sort of card which I had neither ordered nor do I want or need. Its impossible to get any redress from this company.
I tried to return a 'router' for which the software didn't work (100s of comments on internet about this problem. However despite their stated legal obligation to accept returns within 15 day without complaint or need for justification, they accepted the router, did not refund, but gave ma a 'bon' to purchase another router (but they have NO choice of routers.
They are acting illegally.
Do NOT purchase from the shop, they are robbers.
I bought a book in their site. It was shipped one month later but they sent another cheap book. I had to pay the return shipment cost as they promised they will reimburse me.
After almost 3 months I didn't get the reimbursement of my book and shipment.
They keep saying in a couple of days or so.
BAD FRENCH COMPANY
I ordered TV on 25th of october it is still pending although it was written that i would get that in 1-2 days, i couldn't reach them in any way. They don't answer any messages i have sent. I am so scared that i lost my money given the fact that they don't care about their customers.
Order was cancelled without proper reason, horrible customer service (answering mails is too much to ask...). Had to move heaven and earth to get a refund. NEVER AGAIN!
I had a bad experience at Fnac at airport CDG, we bought a small handheld and two earphones one was with Bluetooth the other without I wanted to change it and the guy get rude and unprofessional and did not let us buy anymore, my children were very sad and cried, it was at cdg at 10 45 am at terminal 2e, we said for the guy we will file a claim he said that he does not care.
This is not the service we expect from a good company.

Absolutely horrible company. We order iPad in December. It was telling 2-3 delivery days. It should be Christmas gift. After we paid with visa at once message chaged to 3 weeks delivery. No iPad after 3 weeks. We sent them email, answer back- we need to wait another week or two… 6 weeks after no iPad. We asked to get money back, we got message that our address is wrong. Our adress is correct! Another week, no delivery and now after several emails trying to get our Ipad or money back we got message that we have to pay 38€ to send product back to get money back? What kind of cheating is this? Product was never delivery to us, nobody even called us with delivery or contact in any way, and now they are asking to get even more money from us? We will find a place to complain about companies cheating customers in Spain to get money back.
Bought two books and they send me the wrong titles.
I contacted chat first. They couldn't give me a straight solution "because another department is responsible for that". I asked them to email me back with a solution. Not possible! I tried several other ways to contact customer service, but they just completely IGNORE you.
Frustrated and tired of wasting my time, I sent back the books, and paid for the return shipping costs (€19,50) myself. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE! I've lost money and time and still do not have the books I wanted.
I will NEVER buy from these ARROGANT people again!
I wish I read the many, MANY bad reviews about FNAC on several sites before (all followed with a standard reply, underlining their lazy, impersonal service), then I would have never bought anything from them.
Save yourself time and trouble and avoid these people at all costs!
THEY STOLE MY MONEY! I wish I could put a zero grade. I bought two books at 70 euros. Did not receive the books, and tried to contact fnac three times. They did not accept to return my money because they can't do that with their policy. The books are on transit, so they can't give the money back. They told me the driver may have lost it. Basically, THEY JUST STOLE MY MONEY. Worst Staff ever, worst services, liars, hang up the phone on you, call you at 12 am, and steal your money.
I bought a pair of binoculars online from Fnac. As of today, over a fortnight later, with a promised maximum delivery of 8 days, they have not arrived. Working through the complaints procedure, they forwarded me a note from their distributor with wording to the effect that "the post is the post, what do you expect?" I shan't be buying online from them again.
FNAC has some of the largest stores in France mainly dedicated to electronics, books, CDs etc. Fnac.com has an even larger selection at prices similar or below the store prices. In terms of prices, Fnac.com remains competitive although you can sometimes find better prices at discount stores and/or competitors like Darty.
For books, you cannot find better prices elsewhere in France (except for used books but this is a different kind of business)
I bought a book at Fnac.com the 24th of january. Till today, 3rd of march, not only I didn't receive anything, but I didn't get any answer from them.
To contact them is impossible: no email, no international telephone number and no online help.
Basically I just lost my money.
I cannot imagine a business online worst than this.

I bought one of your scooters at FNAC. I had the scooter for 3 weeks and I paid $300. I bought the scooter on Oct 18,2019, and brought it into FNAC to fix it no Nov 15th, 2019 because I have a 2-year warranty and because it rained one day when I rode it the battery got water in it and FNAC will not fix it. BAD SCOOTER! BAD COMPANY! BAD BUSINESS
Dishonest, Catastrophic, communications.
Ordered i pad, 64. Supplied a 16.1 month after taking the money,
3 months later, still no exchange or re embursement...
TLDR;
- shop platfrom and integration with reading app is technically poor and provokes errors
- kind but useless customer support
- not a millimeter of goodwill to find an acceptable solution for me as a customer
I purchased an ebook on fnac.com.
First there was a problem logging into the Kobo App... support explained the reason was that I authenticated with a google account on fnac.com, but in the Kobo App I have to login with fnac user id and password. They instructed me how to reset and clear caches in my app. So far so good.
But then although I could download the ebook inside the Kobo App I could not read it: the progress display startet but never ended I never saw a single word of text from the book.
Longer than a week had daily email conversations with customer support and tried all the proposed procedures, but nothing worked. I tried on iPhone X and iPad Pro with most recent iOS.
And that was it: customer support concluded more or less that that is my problem. I asked several times for a refund in case we can not find a solution for me, but this proposal was simply ignored.
I read a lot of ebooks on lots of platforms (amazon, thalia, darkhorse comics, safari online, etc.) since more than 15 year but never had problems like that.
So fnac: keep my money and fnac off!
Your customer support will never have to deal with me!
