12 months

Well I have been through three Fitbit devices that have failed within the 12 month period I was success in replacing my Fitbit Versa 2 and 3 within the 12 month period but after the receiving the replacement it again failed within 12 months so this is not a product to be relied upon or to be purchased in the future. I have three consumer friends with similar experience. One star.

Purchased a Fitbit Aria scale. Lasted 1.5 years and stopped working after the latest firmware update. Contacted Customer Support and confirmed this is a known widespread issue. As the scale was outside of the warranty period they were not able to provide any support and they have no repair options available. This level of product quality and customer support is completely unacceptable in this day and age. I will no longer be a Fitbit customer as a result of this experience.

My charge 5 died suddenly. Just working at my desk, noticed I rexieved a text, but my fitbit didn't alert me. Screen won't work, won't sync to phone. Nothing helps, tried to reset as per fitbit. Tried charging it for hours even though it was almost fully charged this morning before it bit the dust. Customer service is useless! It's not covered under warranty apparently. Barely a year old. Save your money and get an Apple watch, Samsung or Garmin. I will NEVER waste monet on a fitbit ever again. Once upon a time their products were of quality. Now just cheap crap!

Regret purchasing
November 1, 2020

Purchased this device because did not want to pay price for Apple watch. Regret not doing more research. Device just started misfunctioning right after warranty expired. In response the company offered a 33% discount coupon (30 day expiration!) which is quite amusing.

Glitchy and pretty crappy
February 24, 2022

Worked ok for first couple months then it started not tracking my maps on runs, going into DND mode where it became inaccessible, automatically changes from dim to bright screen, buttons unresponsive battery is poor after 1 hour jog it's drained and need to recharge. Now it says my phone is no longer compatible with the app!?

I cannot recommend this product looks elsewhere perhaps Garmin, but avoid this!

Have bought Fitbits for 5 years. Product is reliable and good value. Customer service is deliberately circuitous, never reads or listens. Responds in circles instead of providing the Premium service that was included in my last purchase. Have to switch trackers because I just can't tolerate their attitude any more.

Cannot fault them

Literally, the best customer service I've experienced in a long time!

My original Fitbit Charge 2 wouldn't log my sleep patterns after the first update I performed on it (It was roughly 2 months old). I emailed the help team, who worked with me to try different options to make it work, but nothing worked. Ultimately, they offered to exchange it for free or give me half price off another model (I took the latter, as the Alta HR had just come out). There was no faffing about, just a simple link, and perfect performance ever since.
I'll be sticking with Fitbit for a while, I think!

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS BAD

I called customer service because I returned a brand new fit bit VERSA and they answer from an India call center. OK that sucks in itself, they don't support American jobs. The stupid girl asked me the same questions 3 times or more then basically told me she couldn't do anything too bad so sad. She was very unhelpful and really pretty stupid. I would not recommend them or their products since they can't back them up with any support.

I am having huge issues trying to get my Fitbit charge replaced with different size band. Original was too big. Bought brand new Charge paid postage to send it back, had disagreement with customer support about postal code, Canada Post will not ship to the one on their website, so with correct post code it was returned only for Fitbit to send me only a wristband even after I was told to return entire product. Im now waiting for Fitbit watch part to be sent and have been given an inactive tracking number. Customer service have been useless. Last agent was in Southeast Asia and claimed my package was to arrive todsy. Nope its not here. Very disappointed

My wife spent some well earned money,
On the spouse she calls her "Honey"
The Sense that she bought, has left him distraught
Says he's tempted to flush down the dunny

Battery is flat at the end of each day - have to charge it every night, far too much effort.
Tried to custom a clock face, but now it's stuck on a crap one and won't change.

What a waste of money... poor wifey

Fitbit has really failed its customers. Soooooo many owners are experiencing product failure just beyond the 365 day warranty period. Fitbit just says 'thanks for letting us know. We invite you to buy another one.' No corporate responsibility whatsoever.
As a former Ionic owner I would never buy one of their products again. I am not the only one who feels like this. Frustrated ex-owners think this is such a huge scam. Either products made to fail, or just not fit for purpose. Just check out all of the complaints on their Fitbit community forum.

Fitbit Charge 3 screen failed after nine months. Second tracker in a row to have same fault. Unsympathetic customer service offered new charge 5 for £125 when £110 on Amazon. Then refused to reply. Obviously built to fail. Buy a cheaper Garmin Vivosmart!

Worst customer service ever! Ordered a fitbit charge 2 almost a month ago the Fitbit they sent me would not sync. I was told to return it to them because they could not fix the problem. Since then there has been numerous phone calls and emails and I do not have a Fitbit yet. Every time I speak to them I'm told to wait! How long does someone have to wait for their expensive product? It has been almost a month do not buy from this company ever!

Poor customer service

Fitbit Charge 3 had the famous grayscale. Called customer service could barely understand. They told me someone would email me in 3 to 4 hours. A day went by no email. Contacted back, again could barely understand. Sent me an email finally with a 35 percent off coupon on new purchase of Fitbit on their store website but excluded almost all Fitbits. However, even if you could purchase one of the Fitbits excluded the price with the discount was higher than you could purchase same item on Walmart.Com or Amazon. Life expectancy of Fitbits are not great. I have purchased two in a four period. Great products but expect to replace them and do not expect any Customer or Technical Expertise.

Totally displeased with this product! The pedometer is completely inaccurate. I have had two so far and neither keep accurate steps counts. One was replaced under warranty and the new one is just as bad. It records steps for opening drawers, putting on a jacket, brushing your teeth or putting on your shoes. I tried loosening the band, tightening it, switching wrists, switching dominate hand settings - everything, and it still recorded steps when I wasn't walking. I would get over a thousand steps during the day just sitting and working at my desk. Would NOT recommend this product to anyone. It is nothing more than an overpriced watch!

As a motion sensor, you may get credit for step count when it detects movements. You can try using dominant wrist setting to decrease the step counting sensitivity. My 85-year-old mother purchased a Fitbit yesterday. Was safety sealed. It would not pair so we called and it said it was under a recall I spoke to Daniel he was going to send a new replacement and then told me he could not send a new replacement I asked him if I could send a copy of the receipt and the packaging and it was all safety sealed. I then spoke to a supervisor by the name of Jodi who was in Jamaica. Even though it was recalled they will not replace it and they said I'm stuck with it. I will never purchase a Fitbit again. They took advantage of an 85 year old woman.

The experience with this device was very poor. The device stopped working after 1 year. The belt was poorly made and broken after couple of months. Because I extended warranty period by couple of months, when I reached out to Fitbit Customer Service team they couldn't able to help me instead providing me very minimal discount for my next purchase which could still end up with expensive amount. Usually, I can have my watch functioning for years but with this Fitbit I was heartbroken. Customer team doesn't care if they lose a client. I haven't seen this kind of poor customer service. I would say if you want smart watch look out for a different device.

The buckle on my Charge Fitbit came off and needed replacing. I called Fitbit who were very helpful and able to confirm where and when I'd bought it. I'm still under a one year warranty. I was requested to take a picture of the watch in its broken state and email it to Fitbit. Fitbit then said they didn't have that model in my size and colour and I had two options. One was to have 30% off the price of another model or two to have a replacement with no charge of the Alta model and I could choose from a selection of colours in my size. This was just a few days ago and my new Fitbit has been shipped and on its way with no payment. I'm delighted and what excellent service xx

Disappointed
May 17, 2022

Had connection issues from the very start. Bluetooth capabilities also unstable cutting on and off. Tried contacting customer service and they were of no help, all they said was lot of customers having same issue. I returned it and got an iwatch. Very disappointing experience.

Charge 4 issues

Charge 4 breaks at connections to bands and customer service is terrible. Have a device under warranty and have been waiting two months for approved replacement under warranty. The replacement they finally sent was dead and had to start process all over again waiting for them to receive faulty part they sent prior to shipping replacement. Talked to customer service multiple times to no support. I am done with them and have been a
