What a nightmare it was to deal with this company. I read their policies online before ordering from them to ensure if there were any problems I would be able to receive a refund and return my ordered items.

I ordered two dresses... Received the dresses after a very long wait... both dresses were defective, puckered and unwearable.
I took pictures of the dress (on me) and an email. At first they basically said - too bad - you hit the "order button". Then when I persisted they acknowledged that the dresses were pretty bad, and offered to refund 30% of my over 300 order. Then they said I could keep the dresses as they wouldn't be able to resell them because of the workmanship. So, they want to give met $100 and have me pay them $200 for unwearable dresses. I was more than shocked as I had followed all their policies... and they saw the dresses and acknowledged that they were a mess. At this point I am out 300+ dollars, and have launched a paypal dispute claim due to their unethical business practices. Buyer BEWARE - this company does not follow their own policies and will not make a wrong right with their customers.

I have had a TERRIBLE experience with this website. I ordered a dress for my senior prom and initially it came out beautifully, I really liked it; however, this was not the problem. A couple days later on my way to get the dress tailored I noticed when i held the dress up into the sunlight that there were multiple glue stains and what seemed like burn marks. From there I followed the websites return policy and took pictures of the dress and sent them in explaining what had happened. So far i have received terrible costumer service. They first told me "I think the problem can be solve quickly. The dry cleaner friends will help you."
At that point I was annoyed by their lack of professionalism but i did what they said and took it to the dry cleaners. They said they could not remove the stains, they were embedded in the fabric. I wrote back to fishinthesky and told them this. They said "we will pay the dress wash fee." then I explained AGAIN that this was not the problem and they said "you can try to ambroidered a flower on the dress" yes they spelled embroidered wrong. Now my senior prom is in two weeks and I have no dress.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE! I ordered a $200 dress from this site. I chose the correct size, expecting there to be minor alterations needed if any at all. I tried he dress on when it finally arrived. Yes, it had the 32 band size (as ordered) but the bust area was large enough to fit a large C or small D cup woman! I am able to fit at least 2-3 fingers inbetween my skin and where the dress material comes out to in that area. It is common sense that the dress be made proportionately to the measurements given. I have been arguing with this company for months and they said a local tailor should be able to fix it. Well hey can't. In order to do that they'd have to take the dress apart, resize the areas, and put it back together. This would be just as expensive as the dress! This is carelessness on the seamstress' part and according to their policy is cause for refund. They will not cooperate and refund all or any of my money. I plan to return the dress to the shipping address with a complaint (again) and leave it at that. SCAMMERS!

I just ordered a formal for my daughter's banquet within a 29 day timeframe. I paid extra to get it made within 29 days versus 30 days. My daughter's sizes are between a size 2 and 4 so I knew if I custom ordered it I would not have to get a dress altered if I purchased off the rack and what a great way to get a dress made to her specifications. Well - the top half of the dress looked perfect. It was made well but it looks like they gave scissors to a kindergarten child for the bottom. The hem was 19 inches on one side and 22 inches in the middle and 20 on the other side. They sewed the lining to the satin skirt and the lining was bigger than the skirt so it was bunched up and pinched in places. My daughter was devastated. Luckily, I have a mother-in-law who knows how to sew. I should have had her make the dress to begin with because she had to correct all their mistakes. It would have cost me $50 in additional alterations to correct all the mistakes they made. I honestly wonder if they have a child sweat shop. I feel sick just thinking of the working conditions that might be there. You can tell that there are parts of this dress that were made really well but it is not worth the money to correct all the mistakes and not worth the stress.

I try to stay positive with my online shopping experiences, but ordering through fishinthesky.com was a nightmarish endeavour. They clearly do not abide by their tailoring bills reimbursement policy.

I had ordered a custom-made graduation dress and paid extra money to have my measurements sent in. Once I received my dress, it wasn't even CLOSE to my measurements. My tailor concluded that 5 inches needed to be taken in from the sides. An $85CAN fee.

WTF! $85?! (after I already paid extra for custom-made; which they butchered)

After sending all of the necessary information to receive a reimbursement, they replied with "we can give you $15, ok?". They clearly do not have a customer service representative that speaks proper English as I have had to decode messages on many occasions. STILL haggling with them, I have not received a reimbursement on the tailoring bills almost 6 months after the purchase.

Long story short, this website has a supreme lack of customer service and poor, painful-to-read, policy-violating excuses as to why a customer is unable to receive a reimbursement.

I think a report to the Better Business Bureau is in order.

We always hear, "If you think it's too good to be true, it probably is." I've never purchased from this site before (www.fishintheskycom). The prices are ridiculously cheap in comparison to what it should be. The reviews with five stars seems to lack credibility. No photos examples of the physical dress received in comparison to the website shown. Have you tried to Google the address? I did and apparently, that specific address is used for so many other vendors/entities and sites that sale items not related to formal dresses in which www.fishinthesky.com offer. To top it off, the phone number provided, when you Google the number, it indicates different businesses use it also. This to me, is very skeptical.

I have ordered 5 bridesmaid dresses and 2 different wedding dresses from here, I am a size 8-10 so I ordered just that, the 1st wedding dress was wayyyy too small, I couldn't even get it on. 1 of the bridesmaid dresses was a darker shade than the rest, mind you I ordered all of them in the same color. 2nd wedding dress I ordered, I spoke with the representative, I am pregnant and they assured me that they would make the slip with stretch material, the dress got here and it was not made how they promised, so that was a waste of more money, and when I spoke with them they basically told me "oh well", they would not accept responsibility for their own mistake and didn't want to work with me in any way to resolve an issue that was their own fault. DO NOT purchase from this site, if you do you will be VERY disappointed! Not to mention I ordered the 2nd wedding dress in a size 16 and that JUST fit and Lord knows if I bought a size 16 dress from any other store, I would basically be able to swim in it!

I ordered a dress from this page in January, on the 28th. A few weeks went by (more than 20 days) and so I started asking where it was. Well, they told me to wait 15 more days and so I did. I asked then where the hell it was and I was told to wait another 7 days. I was outraged being it was MARCH now! So, I tried and tried to get any information on this dress and they wouldn't give me a right answer. They told me it was on its way and that it was still being tailored. Then they also made the comment how it is SOOOO laborious. They also had terrible spelling and for a business you think it could have been better. They would say "pls u do not need, worry dress is on the way in your arms!" They were more then annying. I never did get my money back from them which was for 204.97 but the bank did - I had to file a claim and its been SUCH a hassel. So save yourself the trouble, and hair and DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SITE! Plus, the other reviews I have read are all terrible and the good ones are most likely written by them.
