This is such a massive scam on the level I haven't seen before. FilipinoCupid has been a complete waste of money! First of all, you have to pay for everything and the costs are exorbitant. Then you have to sift through bunch of bots. Finally, 15 out of 16 women I interacted with either asked me for money for rent and phone or wanted to give me the "financial consultation" pressing me to invest money into some kind of "innovative project". They have a new approach to scam on FilipinoCupid, but it's still ridiculous!
There are many ads of women that are located in different cities in China. They all claim that they are working as nannies or tutors for Chinese families. When writing to them I find that they all have a similar story. They do not have cell phones that they can communicate through texting or Skype. Only have access to emails. Most of them say they would like to meet me in my country. This all seems to be a scam. Is it? Am I being foolish thinking that these women actually exist?

Fake profile. Many excuses not to video call. Needs money. Lives in General Santos City, apparently. Supposedly lives with her brother after her parents died. Mentioned she has lost her grandmother, then makes the mistake of showing a photo of her grandmother and asked how her grandmother is, says she is fine. Keep well clear.

The company uses an auto renewal feature that defaults back to YES auto renew me after you make your purchase even after you select No at time of purchase. This is a tactic that they have used in the past and when I called them out on it they did a credit to my card but once again they pulled the same thing and I did not realize it until about 10 days after they auto billed me. I demand they credit my card but refused and their excuse was..."your using the service still". Yes because you keep charging me after I said No auto renewal and you won't turn it off.
This is criminal to change auto renewal behind the backs of the customer. Thugs!
Dear Steven,
For convenience, we automatically renew your membership shortly before it expires so you can continue to use your premium membership without interruption. You may opt-out of auto-renewal at any time in your billing settings at least 48 hours before your membership is due to expire. Please contact www.filipinocupid.com/en/help/helpdesk for further help.
All the women the I contacted and/or contacted me turned out to be fake. This goes for the "Verified" women as well. One "Verified" women on the site disappeared/deactivated her profile as soon as she got my WhatsApp number. I mean in like 2 minutes. The do not refund money either, not if you sent one like, message, or any other contact, they will not refund. The are a total scam!
I really don't know why this site don't care about their members. They only care about you if you upgrade your account. They terminated my account for no reason, and when I e-mailed them about it they didn't respond. I feel so violated. Trash system! I heard about the company in Ph that using fake accounts to scam foreigners.
Hi First,
We are sorry you have experienced this. Please contact www.filipinocupid.com/en/help/helpdesk so we can investigate the issue and assist you further.
Just know that you're going to have to send various documents (i. E. Copy of photo ID) if you want your upgraded account to be activated (your account is suspended until then - no access). I submitted my docs and spent the next week going back and forth with what seemed to be an automated unclear email response (And still no account access).
I called them a number of times and had the displeasure of speaking with an agent that was not only unhelpful, but very rude (she had the audacity of accusing me of committing fraud by paying through Paypal, when Paypal is a payment option!).
When I asked her if I could speak to a supervisor, she flat-out said, "no, if you want to speak to a supervisor, send an email and wait 24 hours." And that was just the start of the circus of customer disservice that ensued. Needless to say, if you're calling their number for phone support, you probably won't get it.

Heaps of scammers, heaps of nice people. Visited my friend at her home and work place. Honest to a fault. I have told her to buy(my money) better furniture for her and her nephew, but she has neglected to do so. Poor as dirt because of Christian principles. A happy smiling respectable lady who deserves better.
Lots of very pretty but maybe very underage girls on this site. I was looking for a woman with a family as I had seen poverty in the RP when based at Subic and decided I'd help a family. Struck gold with a lovely Mom of four and have met them and her large family. Very sweet people, very humble and hard working. I did not meet with success overnight so keep looking if you strike out with some minors or fakes. Beware of women who are from Thailand. Got burned. She was on this or a competitive site and the money lost was good tuition. My Mom of four and I talk daily and I read the kids stories. We were to meet in April but COVID-19 forced the airline to cancel the original and second bookings. We will still be together and visit the entire family. It is a great relationship a year old as of this coming July.
Dear William,
Thanks for your feedback. If you have any suggestions or if you are facing any problems, please contact us at https://www.filipinocupid.com/en/help/helpdesk. We will try our best to help you out.
And, we did. My wife and I met almost two years ago on the site. We were serious about our intentions and dating long distance without money exchanges. I then surprised her almost a year into dating with a visit and engagement ring! Almost two years later, our visa petition was approved and we were married. Here's the key, I was up front and fast about my intentions to marry an honest woman. I was particular about the small selection of women I messaged first. I listened and shared with my choose fiancee and shut down my page. She shut her page down. We agreed to date exclusively with the intent to marry. We kept our word and bonded with one another. Now, she's my wife and we are looking forward to children soon. We knew what we wanted and were willing to work toward it together. We built and cultivated a relationship.
I have used this site to connect with Filipinos (as in guys). There are many scammers who use this site but in amongst the scammers I have found a number of genuine guys. You just have to exercise caution and, as the site advises, don't send money to anyone you have not met in person. Well I would advise don't send money to anyone you haven't communicated with for several months and even then, if you chose to do so, only send small amounts. If they persistently keep asking for more stop communicating. I have paid for a monthly subscription on a few occasions and never had any issues with cancelling the subscription. But it is an automatic renewal subscription so you must physically cancel in via the website. I use this site and I like this site.
I would recommend the site. You have to be very careful on the site. It's best initially to establish a few friends or contacts on the site. Over a week or two on the site you will see that many of the people who first contacted you have been removed from the site. I believe roughly 20 people who contacted me were removed from the site. Once you weed out the bad ones then it's time to talk to the people you have an established on site relationship with. After all what's the rush anyway. Have fun and good luck.
90% of all 'Asian Dating Sites' are a pure SCAM! And most of them are an EXPENSIVE SCAM! FilipinoCupid.com at least seems to be a trustworthy site and in my opinion it is sure worth a try. As an alternative you may want to use iDate-Asia.com but keep in mind that it is more expensive. Anyway, those were the two only sites where I did not feel being scammed.
I found my husband here in this site. We got married in 2017 and we still keep the fire burning. He is the man of my dreams. Dreams do came true.
I met my wife on FilipinoCupid in August of 2019. I was fortunate to visit her and her family in the Philippines a couple of times before the lockdowns began. We got married in Dubai in July of 2021. The process of bringing your Filipina wife or fiancé to the US takes time, but my wife arrived in the US in April of 2022. We could not be happier!
Did I encounter potential scammers on the site asking for money? Yes, but you will find that on any dating site. Did my wife encounter potential scammers on the site just looking for a holiday girlfriend or video sex? Yes, but again, there are players and perverts on every dating site.
Initially, you will experience a kind of "high" from all the attention you get. Feel free to enjoy that experience, but you can't really get to know someone unless the two of you agree to be exclusive and really focus on trying to get to know one another.
One thing to note. There is no such thing as divorce in the Philippines. If you meet a woman that is married and separated from her Filipino husband, she will have to get an annulment (from the Philippine government, not the Catholic Church) before you can bring her to the US on a spousal or fiancé visa. Annulments in the Philippines take time (the quickest I am aware of was about 6 months, but most take 1.5 - 2 years or more). They also take money (around $5000 USD, more money than most Filipina's can afford). Please keep this in mind if the woman you are getting to know is separated, lacks the funds to file for an annulment, or you are unwilling to help her financially or wait out the process.
Be skeptical of individuals promising quick and inexpensive annulments. Many Filipina's fall victim to annulment scams! The US government will attempt to verify the validity of the annulment during the immigration process, and some women only discover they were scammed when their visa application is denied.
If you do your due diligence, FilipinoCupid is a great site to meet an amazing Filipina woman. The 7000+ islands in the Philippines are full of them!
I am a paying member on this site for one month. Out of over 80 profiles I have been in contact with ony 3 have turned out not to be fake and out of that 3 only one is suspected to not be a scammer and that one is not confirmed yet, she seems like the real deal and has me wrapped around her little finger. If this one turns out to be a scammer it is going to break my heart.
I have reported fake profiles but so far they have done nothing to remove them and it has been days
Signed up for a 3 month subscription, was permanently suspended in 4 days.
"As you have indicated on your account, you are not seeking members for the aforementioned reasons. Your profile has therefore been permanently removed and cannot be reactivated".
First, they approve all profiles before they become active, and 2nd, nothing on my profile stated either way. I got LOTS of messages from what seemed to be bots, fake ID's and some really homely profile pictures. Only 1 picture on each profile.
I was banned after I put a word at the end of my profile, stating, if you send a message, start with this word so I know you read my profile.
Next morning my profile was banned permanently.
FULL of scammers. I just lost $2000 to a very sophisticated scammer. You think you can pick them but there are some very sneaky hustlers on here. Even ones that prove their identity. You might get lucky with some but stay away from the pretty girls. They do this for a living.

Signed up and the same day they had free one hour platinum membership benefits. Talked with 3 girls got their info on skype. Video chat with all three and they were true to their profile. All three are very poor. I really liked 2 out of three. We have been talking on skype. One has 6 years old kid and other has 5! Months old kid. They both want to meet me. So I am going there for a month and stay with my cousin. I am gonna meet both of them for 2 weeks each. Will decide after that. I told both to not ask for money right on first day. They didn't. It's been 6 months. Will update to let you all know what happened next.
Its not a perfect site as there are scammers... but if you take a little time to sort them out you can find amazing ladies... i just picked an amazing lady it look just a few weeks then i decided... here i am married years latter... never thought id be here
