They are a terrible company... with bad customer service and quality of trees... I bought a handful of fruit trees. They showed up sick and small. Customer service doesn't stand behind the product. Buyers Beware!. Shop elsewhere.
I wrote a bad review for this company. One major gripe, paying extra for a guarantee and then just getting a credit for their site, which would involve new shipping fees. Still unhappy about that but must say that the plants that I bought or replaced are now doing very well. A rose tree in particular, though not exactly 'ever blooming' is growing beautifully. So... in the interest of fairness, some extra stars.
Purchased 3 Pineapple Plants from Fast-Growing Trees, the soil of all 3 plants were contaminated with a type of meal worm and a small white slimy grub type pest. Do yourself a favor and go to a local nursery or even a big box store for a far superior product. Company also didn't respond to final email about the pest infestation.
Company eventually responded about infestation with list of chemicals to purchase to kill pest. Did not offer a refund or replacement plants
Ever wonder why all the reviews on the site are 5 stars but you got a tree from them that died? They block bad reviews so consumers don't realize they're about to get ripped off. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money buying from Fastest Growing Trees.
My Haas Avocado tree arrived today 04-25-15 and it looked good, nice green leaves, moist potting mix. Only one leaf fell off and that's ok, transplanted into a pot right away and put it under the patio away from the wind. Will see in a couple of days on how's it doing.
I do not know if they are worth the time to even put a review for this company. They show you a tree and sell you another one. NEVER EVER AGAIN.
They should be renamed "No growing trees". I live in Miami in a section that used to be commercial avocado and mango farms. I ordered 2 Hass avocado trees back in March 2014. One died 3 months later and the other is not doing anything. Also got a rosemary plant that it's drying up. Next to it I have 2 other rosemary plants bought at a local Home Depot (for less money) and they are doing fine. Go figure!
They stink. Fast growing cold hearty avocado purchased as a prototype, dies within 7 months. Complained, told me too bad. I pushed, offered me $7.00 coupon and tree on sale. Told them to shove it. They offered me retroactive warranty for $17.95 and a new tree if I paid the shipping. See what they are doing... escalating in steps till they are off the hook. Contact the State Attorney General in N. C. and ask about them, your phone will catch fire. Finally I wrote them a scathing email, then got barraged calls from some jerk, I hung up on 8 times finally he stopped. Dont do business with them, too much bad press, read it. Google COMPLAINTS, Fast Growing Trees and watch your computer vomit out piles and piles of pissed off customers.
I wished I had read all the reviews before I ordered from them. Apparently they differ from all the local nurseries about a one year warranty on their products. I called customer service about the frost free gardenia that did not seem to grow at all and was told about their 45 days warranty. Their prices are definitely higher and customer service is less than adequate. They basically told me that their warranty is actually better than other on line competitors. I spent almost $200.00 and would have such a better time spending that on any of the local nurseries. A lesson learnt-- don't buy from them.
I bought a Kwanza cherry tree. I was hopeful because the one I got, the soil was not very dry, still moist. Also the leaves looked healthy. I planted it into a big hole and had my nephew help me. No air pockets, EVERYTHING was perfect, but it soon died, not even a month later. They need to change the website too fast dying trees. $70 + down the toilet.
Bought two Autumn Blaze trees through them. They both arrived DOA and after a month of watching them not come out of dormancy, we asked for replacements. To their credit, FGT immediately shipped replacements. Unfortunately, one died and the other one is growing and alive but it's also a branch grafted onto a root system. So bottom line, out of four trees, three died and one is kind of ugly but we're going to let it grow for now. Just save the hassle and buy from a local nursery.
Bought an Avocado tree. It died. I bought the 1 year warranty. I asked for a full refund. They refused. Customer service is very poor. Would not recommend.
Ordered two Autumn Blaze Maples in the fall. They sent me two different species, but I couldn't tell until the spring when there were new leaves on the tree. At that time, they did not have trees in my size anymore and had to send two new little trees. One did not survive a year and they will not stand behind their warranty. Would not do business again.
My experience was exactly the same as Bobby H's. I ordered the Empress tree as a memorial to be planted when my brother in law lost his father. I was appalled at what they received. Same big box, same tiny little sapling--if you could even call it that. What a waste of money. I was embarrassed by the horrible thing and will never use this place again. I too paid $30 --- way over priced for what was sent. Stay away! May 2014
The tree that I received was spectacular -beautifully shaped very healthy -arrived so quickly. The interaction with fast-growing trees could not have been better their customer service is excellent
I would recommend this nursery to anyone. Youwill not be disappointed - in fact you will be thrilled
I ordered a Jane Magnolia tree. It was about 50% more than what I paid at Lowe's, but approximately 3 times the size. It was extremely well shipped and in perfect condition. I was totally impressed. The dinky little magnolia from Lowe's drowned in the first big spring rain, but this new Magnolia tree is practically indestructible.
I ordered two 5' Bing Cherry Trees and the bonus Empress Tree. What I received were insect ridden trees that I cannot plant in my orchard because of the infestation. Also there was no Empress Tree in the box yet the shipping label said there was one. This company is not reputable. I am waiting for their response. I warn everyone that is considering placing an order with them not do it... this is a scam and the company is unscruplous... John Murphy/ Huntsville, AR
Ordered a empress tree from them supposed to be 1 gallon container. Shipping was fast but that is the only good thing I can say about them. What I received was a 4 foot box with about a cup of loose potting soil and a 1/4 inch nub, literally the size of my fingernail. No leaves or anything green. I paid $30.00 in total. I sent an email with pictures and number asking for a refund still haven't heard anything. I wrote a review on there website but it is nowhere to be found I guess they only post the positive ones. What a scam, I will never use this site again and tell everyone I know to avoid it!
I ordered 2 apple trees last Fall for over $100.
One didn't look too alive, but I planted both
Anyway and watered them. This Spring I
Saw that the bark of both trees had been
Devastated by rabbits. One may survive,
But the other is dead. I subsequently
Found out that nurseries sell fruit trees with
Protective shields for this reason. A company
That sells just trees should be well aware of that and provide
This inexpensive protection, or at least inform consumers
That this is an issue that frequently arises
So they can take their own precautions.
I ordered a skyrocket juniper from this web site, which claimed the tree shipped would be 1-2 feet tall. I received an 11" sapling. Better to go to your local nursery or shop with a more trusted web site.
Answer: Cancel your order now before it's too late, go to a local nursery and save yourself some money and unwarranted aggravation, these folks are not honorable.
Answer: I ordered 3 autumn blaze maples. They have been in the ground for 2 years now and have yet to turn red in the fall. I did some research and found that they only turn red if the temperature conditions are right. I live in Idaho and we basically skipped fall this year and went straight into winter. So once again the leaves just turned brown. I am hoping to finally get a display next year.
Answer: The same thing is happening to me. My tree died and they keep saying they're going to make good and nothing happens. Real crooks, this company.
