What I got on the first delivery was fair quality. The small sized bush plants looked like grafted twigs. Long story short, they died quickly and the replacements were smaller & poor quality than the first order.

Their website looks great and reviews look great also; the overall delivered quality was disappointing. Customer service...? Really...? Shipping preparation of the plants was very sad to see.
Go to Lowes or Depot, spend alittle more than the website costs & get a larger, better quality plant.

Overall; avoid purchases.

UPDATE: 8-5-16. As of today, all the plants I purchased have died. I have tried several different things to help them, along with a large water bill doing so.

I ordered and planted as directed in May 2016 a 5-6 foot Oklahoma Red Bud, a Eucalyptus tree, and a twilight crape myrtle. What I received was a dead stick for the Oklahoma Red Bud, a twig with like 6 leafs for the Crape Myrtle which looks like it going to die too, and a little 1 foot tall Eucalyptus tree. The Eucalyptus tree is the only one that looks like its going to make it. When I called customer service, I was told there's was no warranty purchased on the plants but I could spend another $40 and get the cost of the plants I had purchased refunded to me as a store credits. That sounds like a great idea, give us more money and we'll sell you more dead plants. What a joke! So save your money and time buy your plants from somewhere else!

Last year I purchased a tree from this company. It was for my son't home. He planted it promptly and watered it but by the end of the summer it was dead. The company gave me a credit, but then I had to pay shipping again for the next tree which arrived dead this spring. The replacement tree for the DOA tree was sent and I was not charged shipping... costs. It was alive when it was planted and it began to form buds. But the tree is now dead. I know this is not the fault of my son, who planted it... Because while waiting to hear from FGT I ordered him another tree from another mail order nursery. That one was planted and is still living and has leaves... So I am not going to contact FGT again... I cannot afford any more of their products.

I purchased a potted lemon tree from Fast Growing Trees in July 2015. I read all the reviews and I felt that offered best options and costs so I decided to give it a shot. I live in the East Coast and the winters are harsh s I was not certain that the tree would survive being indoors for so many months. I had 8 lemons by end of 2015 and have at least 20 starting to grow this summer. I haven't experienced the problems that others have listed in their reviews and I wanted to add some positive note to the list as not enough are quick to praise a company but are quick to voice complaints. This place has the biggest scam going. I received a shipment of some "tree weeds" all broken. I send them pictures of the trees the sent new ones. The second came damaged again called right away and talked to "Elvis" who walked me through downloading the new pictures. A week later I never heard from them they told me they never received picture even when elvis told me he got them and they are not replacing a 3rd time. This place is the biggest scam. It's not my fault they don't pack their weeds right. Also I was supposed to get 3 foot trees it was a root ball with a stick growing out of it. I'm telling you as a professional landscaper DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SCAM PLACE. TOLD ME THEY WILL NOT REPLACE THEM and welcomed a bad review because she don't care. I even offered to send pictures that they all died and they said not good enough. They were all dead in 2 weeks. They also said they arived dead looking because they didn't see sun for 2 days. I'm arguing the charge with my credit card. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!

I am first time customer. I purchased an empress with an extended warranty. The plant was dead. I performed the test the staff told me to do. The tree value is worth 34 dollars. I was informed I would have to pay the shipping for the replacement. The shipping is 16 dollars. The shipping is half the cost of the plant. I should not have to pay shipping for a dead plant that was sent to me. I only had the plant for less than a week. This is not the way a customer should be treated. How can you even recommend a place like this.

Ordered $409.00 work of plants; packaging was great, plants horrible - 3 Tri Colored Willows at $50,00 each all dying within one month; tops were all brown I have to keep cutting back, purchased 3 Lavender Plants 3" inches tall at $49.99; the kicker - I purchased the one year warrantee at $40.00 - emailed, wrote, called company; sent photos - "A credit will be posted to your account for just a small portion of $34.00" because you're in the 30 day period. No mention regarding Tri Colored Willows at $50.00. Write to Consumer Affairs and the Governor's office in South Carolina Honorable Nikki R. Haley, I'm doing that today along with Better business bureau and Consumer Affairs SC

Don't, and I repeat, don't ever buy a tree from this company. Received a "tree" from this company as a gift. What I received was a 6 ft. Pole which had 1 twig on it and 5 leaves. Called the company once and they said it was dormant and this was normal. Save your money and go to Lowes, Home Depot or your local nursery and spend $70.00 on something that actually "looks" like a tree. I don't know how they can get buy with selling merchandise like this. Don't be fooled buy the pictures on their website. Total waste of money.

I purchased 2 avocado tree's from this establishment on their recommendation for pollination purposes with a warranty which a little more expensive, but they promised a year warranty no questions.
Now before a year has passed one avocado the haas tree died. I called they did not honor the warranty and said that if I paid more money for there "extended warranty" i would be covered. These people are crooks. I would consider a class action suit against them.

I ordered a "fast growing" avocado tree two years ago plus the warranty. The tree was dead within months. I redeemed the warranty for another avocado tree and it died too now I have to get another product from them. I also ordered a blackberry bush that I'm pretty sure has a common blackberry virus that prevents it from producing fruit since it's gotten all of 3 berries on it. When I contacted them to inquire if their blackberry bushes were certified virus free they said the bush was alive still so they couldn't do anything about it. I'm very disappointed in their products. I'm redeeming my warranty but I'm sure I'm just going to get another plant that will be sick or dead soon. Sigh.

Yes, the plants arrived in fairly good condition... but... I attempted to get a refund for only one which totally died - NO! They will only give a store credit for only the plant, that's no warranty if you don't want to order from them again.
Further, ordering a specific size, say 3 gallon vs 1 or 2 gallon which is also available - you'll get whatever they feel like sending you. Asking them to send the correct one - "it'll grow"
DO NOT USE Fast Growing Trees.

I bought 4 azaleas this last spring from Fast Growing Trees. They arrived this last spring dormant (expected) and I planted them the day after they arrived. Two have sprouted and two died. I asked them for a refund for the two dead azaleas and they tell me that I have to pay half for the dead plants and the refund is for use at their store only. Why would I want to do more business with them after they rip me off?

After I complained to Fast Growing Trees, they offered to replace the azaleas at no cost. They sent the new ones almost immediately and they were in good condition. I have planted them with good results. So... I was hasty in my evaluation. To their credit they did eventually come back to me with a good resolution. I will change my rating to three stars since. Their initial reaction was terrible but they did respond positively in the end.

This company is full of false promises! I bought a Royal Empress tree that is supposedly the fastest growing tree around but after many months it barely has a few leaves sprouted. I paid way too much for this twig! Next time I'll go to Lowe's and but something beautiful instead! I've called them twice but they keep avoiding a refund and continue giving me false promises. Their prices are 10x more expensive than a local nursery and their plants 10x worse.
