Fandango has never worked for us. We have rented and purchased several movies off of the site and there is always a connection issue. We do not have problems with any other sites except for fandango. We have invited people over to purchase a movie and it just spins over and over. We will no longer waste our time or money trying to purchase any movies off of this website. Very disappointed because they have good choices but it doesn't matter because you can't watch it anyways.
I'd give them a 0 star if I could. I tried purchasing tickets and when I used my Apple Pay, it said error seats have been taken already. So I re chose a different seat and bought the tickets. Something came up and I couldn't go to the movie theaters so I refunded the one ticket that I thought I bought which they gave me the refund for. The day after, I saw in my statements that they have charged me twice for different seats. So I called them and told them that their website said error so I didn't think I'd have purchased it. The worker said she'd have to talk to corporate because the movie has already played. Then I asked her if Fandango has a way to check the I even activated the tickets and they said they can check that. So the next day, I receive a email saying they can't issue refund because it's past the movie day and I've replied to them saying they can literally check that I never made it to the movie theater and never activated my ticket. It's been a week now and I haven't gotten a reply back. I've never been so upset at a company before.

I got on line to buy movie tickets yesterday after filling out the info and entering my credit card number the system came back and said the purchase didn't go thru. I went to the theater and bought tickets. This morning I got on line and found that Fandango had charged my account. When I called for a refund they said no. These people are crooks with a flawed system. Don't use them.
Wtf is the point of buying a gift card the charges a convenience fee? The site is anything but convenient to use. I bought a 25 dollar git card and have to pay $9 in convenience fees to use it?! Honestly a class action lawsuit should be brought against this company.
Fandango & fandango now apps never work. It's non stop loading while watching a movie or show. Would not recommend renting a movie or show from them. You will waste your time waiting for it to load all throughout the movie/or show.
If I could give them no stars, I would. Every single time I get one of these Fandango gift cards as a gift (read: HEADACHE) it becomes the biggest pain. Not user friendly, terrible customer service that has no care or intent of actually helping you. I have received Fandango gift cards on 3 occasions and run into an issue with them EVERY SINGLE TIME. Save yourself the headache and don't bother. And DON'T give these gift cards as gifts - no one wants that. Ridiculous.
This website is absolutely pointless. I am not sure how they are still around but their non refundable convenience fee is laughable. I will never be using this service again and will spread the word of its absolutely ridiculous policies. Do better.
I have been trying for the past 2 months to convert a couple of Fandango gift cards to fandango Now. As a result of Covid, i am not comfortable going to a theatre. I have tried on numerous time to have it corrected, but everytime they tell me it will be assigned to the department that perform that function and nothing happens. I keep following up and i received a response that it is being forward to the correct department. At this point its wasted money, as no one is resolving. Such a simple task assigning a code so the cards can be used on fandango now...

If I were able to give 0 stars I would. I requested a refund due to no sound on a rental movie. The relresentative refused unless I would unplug my tv and omug it back in. Once I did and the movie still did not work, he said he would have to email corporate and they would determine if I rated a review. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME!
You are stealing your customers taking advantage of the fact that the movie theaters were closed during the pandemic. How is it possible that if I have a $ 100 gift card and I am going to spend $ 37 on tickets, you are going to charge a $ 29 convenience fee? That's unsane! I did not use my gift card! Because i need a solution and a proper answer from your customer service. I have been a Fandango customer for years and this has never happened before with gift cards. Now you want to take advantage of your customers to get your business back. Don't you think it's better to keep happy your usual clients and be thankful that we have started to reactivate your business by going to the movie theaters? This is how we all reactivate the economy after pandemic, not taking advantage of your customers. I feel very unhappy and very dissapointed with Fandango and the way you are taking advantage of the customers. I will post my message in all your social media, google, etc. People in the market needs to know the new procedures of Fandango. They never should buy any gift card from you.
Horrendous manipulation of the truth coming from the CS rep. Brutish lack of consideration and foresight from the company. No refund given on a common mishap; I did not change reservation on time, mistakenly believing I had done so. Fandango lost an opportunity to have a movie patron and his large family as a continued client.

We have fandango now on our smart tv and I bought a season of an mtv show. To say that the function of this app is trash is an understatement. We have to exit the app completely to watch the next episode because it freezes and then errors out then have to relaunch the app go through the search and type in the entire title of the show because even though I've searched it at least 15 times it's not in a recent search or anything! Will never purchase anything else for them.
I bought tickets to a movie online with pay pal for a movie that was supposed to play in May. Due to Covid 19, they cancelled the movie. I received an email saying I received the refund, but when I went into pay pal, it had been cancelled by them! I am now fighting with them to receive my refund! I will NEVER do business with this place again! They lied and said it had been returned, pay pal told me they cancelled it! Do yourself a favor, dont use them!
Apparently the attached image purchase went through. But I didn't realize and bought the tickets in-person assuming it didn't go through like the error label infers. I tried to get a refund and had to go from waiting in the chat queue for over half an hour to having to submit a complaint in another part of the website to even find the status of the refund request. Multiple follow up emails and still had no response for a month. Eventually was able to talk to a person that seemed understanding and hand me submit the bank statements proving the purchase and then denied the refund with no explanation. Highly unprofessional and was a super frustrating and time consuming process to go through. Be wary
Rented a movie for 19.99 for 48 hours and wasn't available after 24 hours. Customer service kept me on hold for 20 mins and finally said they couldn't help me and was rude! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE
When I got to the theater I was told they did not see my reservation. We bought tickets for bad seats up front. When I got home I saw that I had been charged for two seats that were later also sold to someone else. They refuse to refund me and I know that if someone would just look up ticket sales from that night they would see the tickets were double sold. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Accidentally bought a ticket for the incorrect day and used my $5 reward on that purchase. Called customer service to switch the day and they refused to reapply the $5 reward claiming it was non refundable. I would understand if I were not going to buy another ticket but I was literally purchasing a ticket for the exact same movie at the same time just for the following day. Really bad customer service, I don't plan on using fandango after this. What's the point of a reward system if you can't even use the reward.
Answer: Shauna, try Ken's suggestion. After years as a loyal customer & "Fan" of Fandango, I had an issue that should have been easily resolved. When I finally spoke to a live CSR, the response & subsequent email were robotic & useless. I now buy gift cards from the theatres & save my $$ and time. Good luck to you, though!
Answer: You do Julie S., but if you purchase it within 2 hours of the movie you are out of luck and that's what I happened to do. I accidentally chose that same day rather than the next day (Saturday) and since I was within a 2 hour time frame they said too bad. Never will use them again that's for sure. It was an honest mistake and I explained that but the woman on the phone was very nasty.
Answer: I would try emailing them, unfortunately there is no one to call as far as I know. If that doesn't work why don't you try calling a theater near you that takes fandango, ask for a manager. Answer: I didn't wake up with a dead horse in my bed but all other evidence in dealing with Fandango indicate that they are mob-owned. Perhaps the mob has more morals. Maybe not mob-owned. What would be worse than the mob because that's likely who owns them. Difficult question to answer. Best not to do business with them anyway.
