This review is not of Facebook as a social media platform but as a business tool for advertising and reaching new customers. I think that Facebook really is one of the best platforms for reaching a new audience as far as business goes. Their prices for promoting links and call now buttons are very fair, and they reach a wide number of people. People are generally favorably disposed towards advertisers on Facebook, not too much negativity or derogatory remarks. The one criticism I have is it can be difficult to reach people if your personal Facebook profile is not very filled out or well developed, because people don't know who they are transacting with. Otherwise it is an ally in the advertising world.

Carl Hitchborn is a classic con man. He defrauded me out of $*******. He hooks you in with a cheap service that works and then sells you the big scheme that never materialises. He preys on unsigned musicians and sells them the "dream" which is in fact a nightmare.

This site is based mainly to benefit from the people who subscribe to it and to convert their information into a commodity that is used to make profits without the knowledge or permission of the user to do so.

Ever since they decided they know what I want to see on my timeline is when this site starting sucking balls.

It is so frustrating being a member of various sporting groups across Facebook - when I am not at the game, members regularly post progress scores to the group so you can keep in touch with what is happening.

Facebook's stupid algorithm posts them out of order or not at all... I get to see a half-time score before I see a score from the first 5 minutes... It's not really that hard is it?

Even worse - I am sick to death of getting a progress score from the first quarter of a saturday game displaying on my timeline on Tuesday! The game finished 3 days ago... a progress score is $#*!ing useless!

Facebook wants to create a cult, indoctrinating you about homosexuality, science, and any kind of thinking that Mr. Zuckerberg sees as correct.
Anything that goes against it is censored.
I really don't see that as a social network, in which different points of view are respected and there may be a possibility of dialogue or simply presenting an idea or opinion.

You could at least have some ethics and stop censoring the people who feed you.

I started to write negative comment, but then stopped myself. Is it soooo bad? Just to mention, that Facebook connected me with my now husband. For that only I must glorify it forever and I will, but I really don't see how could it be helpful nowadays. I connected with everybody I wanted to be connected and can call them now. What else to do there? I really don't know. Time waste at the best. Sorry Facebook and thanks a lot. My husband is great.

FB is THE place to be if you want to read or spread fake news, violence, crap, lies, rubbish and nonsense.
Many (most?) of the posts on FB have to do with some sort of fake news and they are doing very little to try and stop it, because they want people to stay on it no matter what, so they can collect more of your data to sell you more useless products.

Facebook sells your personal information to companies to aide with targeted advertising. The company as a whole is pretty terrible in terms of ethics, but if you're not concerned about that, there's reasons to still dislike it. It's basically all old people reposting misinformation and old memes. It's a place for boomers to post pics of their grandkids (which is fine!). But Facebook is overall a pretty toxic place filled with (actually) fake news, people changing their profile pictures to whatever the current social justice trend is, and lots and lots of ads. You can probably find a better way to spend your time. Even if it's sleeping.
