Once an adequate...no more than adequate site for those wishing to get into touch with loved ones or simply keep apprised of developments, turned into a wonderful place for selling items, then meeting other people with the likes and interests. A good thing, right? Since its founder left or went behind the scenes and placed a bunch of resentful, know-it-alls with no sense at all in charge, that once useful resource has become completely non-sensical. Logic behind their 'decisions', while may have been well-intended for...well, themselves alone... left the rest of the more mature users scratching our heads with the illogical results of their efforts.

For example, they allow scammers, who have completely over-ridden the entire platform to not only participate in groups, but they actually create and moderate the groups themselves. Then when a genuine person with no ill-intent at all but rather acting more as a good samaritan advising or warning the less astute readers or participants in those fraudulent groups, the good guy gets tattled on and suspended or blocked because of their forewarning--the truth that needs to be told. The truth that the Facebook Fairies can't seem to control and in fact, appear to support. Which leads me to my next example.

Can you remember everything that is not allowed to be posted on Marketplace? Sure things that are obvious like sexually explicit items, guns, drugs and the like are no brainers and rememberable because they are made of common sense. But c'mon things like collectors' items such as old and valuable coins? Gimme a break. There is nothing wrong with that. But instead of removing or "punishing" the obvious criminals and/or opportunists, they choose to ban someone who is legitimately trying to sell something if value. To make matters worse, the milennial Facebook Fairies simply and suddenly block a person from marketplace, sometimes, that vehicle being their only source of income, and they do do without warning, or explanation. When a person responds to their harsh yet unknown reasons for the 'punishment' a blanket, "we will get back to you within 7 days" is given. Only, true to form for these people, it takes up to three weeks for them to "review" their asinine decision to what I can only assume an AI Bots autonomy was used and your genuine response was compared to that. Meanwhile, you and your family are struggling to make ends meet because you can't sell anything on the platform and your sudden disappearance during sales negotiations causes the loss of a customer and more importantly money for food on your table.

Unfortunately, Facebook is run about brainless bots with brainless kids inputting the info into their AI propaganda. AND, they remain a the top of the billboard for social media websites despite their unwillingness or ineptitude for keeping out scammers when all it takes is a bit of reading and monitoring their own moderators. The plethora of scammers have bilked billions of dollars out of desperate, sometimes dim-witted readers who could use the help in identifying the thieves but instead, those thieves get the support of the very institution that enables their lucrative and depraved lifestyles at the expense of the poor and needy. Does Facebook and its paid lackies get kickbacks from the scammers? Sure looks that way to me. Go to a different platform that is less biased toward their own generational prejudices and who are actually capable of reading between the lines and coming up with real solutions. That would be the ticket only I don't believe one exists. So what is the answer? Start a new social media platform that relies upon the IQs of real human brains than the rhetoric recorded by the simpletons into the AI bots? That's the real winner. Now who will start the revolution?

I write of my (horrible) experience with this company in hopes of preventing any of you from making the same mistake. The project was to resurface my pool using micro Pebble Tec after chipping out the old plaster. I will try to be brief:
The project started 3/2021 and was completed 4/2021 (their scheduling and communication was terrible from the start). Within a couple of weeks I had very noticeable discolorations in a few areas, one main area in particular. I did not think much of it at the time, and there were a few other work items being completed so I did not mention it to Elliott formally (in writing) until 45 days after I made my last payment.
They showed up 6/2021 and brushed my already immaculate pool, said it was from debris in the pool, then sent their "interior crew" out 9/2021, and then sent their Pebble Tec manufacturer's rep to investigate in 10/21. He admitted at that time that they sometimes do get a "bad batch". And their 7 year manufacturers "guarantee" turned out to a completely worthless.
Elliott then claimed that my chemical treatment was at fault, after 45 days (really 14) and that they would take no further action. I filed a complaint with the Registrar of Contractors (ROC) and a site meeting was held to try to find a resolution 12/2021. None was.
In 2/2022 Elliott again tried to spot clean and then proceeded to tell me they would drain and acid wash the surface as a "courtesy" and were not responsible for any other costs or potential complications. This led to another complaint to the ROC in 5/2022 and another site meeting at which I was told that the ROC would only force the contractor to correct their defective work if I had informed them within 30 days of completion – 30 days! Had I known at the time I certainly could have and definitely would have put it in writing when I first found the problem – roughly 2 weeks.
I was willing to let attorneys resolve it when the contractor offered to come and drain the pool and acid was the interior during winter (it is inadvisable to drain a pool in Phoenix in summer). I was fine with that. This was scheduled for the week before Christmas when I was informed that they would install a pump and hoses to drain the pool but refused to take any responsibility for issues that may arise during the process, such as my clean-out (for the drain water) clogging and backing up into my home. I told them if that was a concern just to let me know and I would make sure I was home to watch it closely.
Their response – once again – is to blame me, the customer, and refuse to honor their commitment. Just as they did when the problem showed up. Like I have said throughout, if my pool water treatment was at fault (after 2 weeks) then the entire surface of the pool would be discolored. It is not, not even close.
So unfortunately the attorneys will have to settle the matter, and they will be the only winners. But just as I told Elliott that I would not pay one dime to refill my pool after all the inconvenience of dealing with them to correct their defective, crappy work (a battle over 150$ but only about the principle involved), I will not accept being ripped off.
So – DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AND SHARE THIS WITH ANYONE THINKING OF HAVING ANY TYPE OF POOL WORK DONE.

Devon News have located the infamous Deavon Stalker Joanne Nelson a "troll" for over a decade. (troll: one who makes up a false name and identity to harm others)

This legal guidance addresses behaviour which is repeated and unwanted by the victim and which causes the victim alarm or distress. Cases involving stalking and harassment by Joanne Nelson of several victims over a period of a decade. Joanne "trolled" under a variety of false names to consciously attack and degrade under Lucy Blackthorne, several of her victime have come forward.

The term harassment is used to cover the 'causing alarm or distress' offences under section 2 of the Protection from Harassment Act 1997 as amended (PHA), and 'putting people in fear of violence' offences under section 4 of the PHA. The term can also include harassment by two or more defendants against an individual or harassment against more than one victim.

Joanne under her keyboard warrior name "Lucy Blackthorne" and "byk Wyrm" has been proven to be one of these venomous stalkers whereby legally has broken several laws.

The elements of section 1(1A) offence are:

A course of conduct;

Which involves harassment of two or more persons; and

Which the defendant knows or ought to know involves harassment of those persons;

By which he intends to persuade any person (whether or not one of those mentioned above);

Not to do something that he is entitled or required to do; or

To do something that he is not under any obligation to do.

Stalking - harassment which involves a course of conduct that amounts to stalking (s. 2A(1) PHA 1997)

Stalking - s. 4A (1) PHA 1997 which can be committed two ways namely:

- Stalking involving fear of violence (s. 4A(1)(b)(i) PHA 1997) OR

- Stalking involving serious alarm or distress (s. 4A(1)(b)(ii) PHA 1997)

The new stalking offences highlighted:

Stalking as a specific behaviour as opposed to harassment more generally.

Closed the lacuna when a course of conduct fell short of causing a victim to feel fear of violence but nevertheless caused a victim serious alarm or distress. (In this circumstance the police and prosecutors could only consider a section 2 summary offence).

The additional element in the new section 4A offence enable cases to be prosecuted when the defendant's behaviour falls short of fear of violence.

Affords more protection to victims of stalking.

Shocking disclosure of Joanne Nelson have come forth to The Devon News from several sources.

Stalking is illegal however, it is unethical and moreover cowardly. Joanne Nelson Torbay has broken more laws than most and it is this we are reporting.

Stalking is not legally defined but section 2A (3) of the PHA 1997 lists a number of examples of behaviours associated with stalking. The list is not an exhaustive one but gives an indication of the types of behaviour that may be displayed in a stalking offence. The listed behaviours are:

(a) following a person,

(b) contacting, or attempting to contact, a person by any means,

(c) publishing any statement or other material relating or purporting to relate to a person, or purporting to originate from a person,

(d) monitoring the use by a person of the internet, email or any other form of electronic communication,

(e) loitering in any place (whether public or private),

(f) interfering with any property in the possession of a person,

(g) watching or spying on a person.

Harassment that includes one or more of the above features is not automatically stalking. The course of conduct, assessed in the round, must fit the generally received interpretation of the word 'stalking'.

Evidence and documentation were received in The Devon News about this horrific obsessive defamation of several victims, including theft of copyright by one particular victim whom had private photographs, copywritten imagery and private information stolen and placed on line.

Another victim who contacted The Devon News from America is a transgender woman who became suicidal due to this ongoing pityful attack by Nelson. Yet another victim provided The Devon News with absolute proof of attacks ongoing over a 5 year period.

Joanne, a mother of three, broke several laws:

Section 7(3A) provides that conduct by one person shall also be taken to be conduct by another if the other has aided, abetted, counselled or procured the conduct. It makes it clear that a campaign of collective harassment by two or more people can amount to a "course of conduct". It also confirms that one person can pursue a course of conduct by committing one act personally and arranging for another person to commit another act.

Joanne Nelson was aided and abetted by others however, due to ongoing investigation by the police, we are unable to post on this issue.

A woman from Devon deliberately went on a "stalking rampage" behind the pretense of being "lucy blackthorne" whereby she told her victime to:

"kill themselves"

"lock themselves up for being a transexual and bitter remarks under her troll guise"

"she insisted to yet another victim that they were "not worth the air they breath"

The threats from Joanne Nelson were so graphic one has to believe she would never be caught.

The Devon News can only publish that which will not interfere with the legal system of the UK. However, disgust and transparency is our duty to the Devon public.

It must be truly blood chilling thing to discover a faceless stranger who wants to do you and your family serious harm, knows exactly where you live, and makes up stories and a false identity in order to do so.

On contacting a local renowned Psychiatrist in Devon he stated "One problem is that stalking requires long-term treatment, something not possible under the short periods that courts typically sentence stalkers. Society needs to know the person behind the mask, naming and shaming and to make Devon residents of the actions of Joanne Nelson.

Joanne Nelson, a mother of three, consciously took on false names and profiles in order to harm others. Society needs to better protect victims of stalkers. Above all, family courts must come to understand that intimate partner stalkers should not have any contact with former partners, should be prevented from misusing the legal system, and should have no contact with their children. We can affirm Joanne Nelson is still in contact with her children which is not acceptable in today's society.

The Devon News must inform our locals and society in general, Joanne Nelson is a threat to herself and to others. It is our duty to out criminal internet stalkers just as it is our duty to out sex offenders. Here seems to be a consensus that stalkers do have significant mental health problems, the fact that treatment seldom curbs the stalkers suggests that there is no idea on how to treat them. One problem is that stalking requires long-term treatment, something not possible under the short periods that courts typically sentence stalkers. Society needs to better protect victims of stalkers.

I am back again to upgrade my complaint of Facebook because Facebook technician does not humble themselves. I would first like to thank Fiesta Kia for recommending me to Duke City Auto Body. My Kia couldn't have been in better hands. Duke City Auto Body was so great they allowed me to free up space in my garage for almost 5 months ( car taken to shop Nov. 19 - car finished? April 8). The first time I was called that my car was ready was March 15. This ended up being a courtesy call so my husband, and I could go down and point out all the repairs that had not been done. Since we were there, I asked if I could meet the owner, only to be told by the receptionist (Auddie) that she did not know who the owner was. Oh well, it must have slipped her mind. After all, I can only assume it is hard to keep track of all the excuses I had heard up to this point. Fortunately, Patti Garcia (part-owner) was found, and when we did speak she seemed to want to uphold their 4.6 rating. LOL 4.6 rating, I would believe this if it was on a 10 point scale. Needless to say we were beginning to feel like family, invited down once more on March 22 with our adjuster this time. Wow, this shop is incredible. Some repairs that were not done on March 15 were fixed in just enough time for the owners to see. Unfortunately, the receptionist was out on March 22, too bad I could have introduced her to the owners. I was hopeful that the third time around all the repairs would be fixed. By this time Duke City Auto Body owed our insurance over $3,000 for work not completed, and for not providing proof of receipts/invoices. However, I assume through careful planning, and procrastination on Duke City's part they were able to make in Even Steven with the insurance ( I should take my taxes to them). I am still waiting for a name, and number to the shop that the receptionist said fixed the compressor, but famous last words from the receptionist "I'll have to get back to you on that". Also, someone should alert the authorities, because Patti Garcia has once again gone missing. After texting with Patti on March 21, Patti has yet to respond to a text sent to her on March 29. Finally, I received a call on April 8 that my car was ready. My husband, and I had already decided we would take the car regardless of the fact that their could still be work that was not done properly. Of course we found things to not be repaired correctly. Now I understand why they advertise a lifetime warranty. Well my car is now back in my garage, but not in the condition we were led to believe advertised on Duke City's Website. "We have a dedicated standard to absolute quality and make sure that each and every vehicle, no matter what size or condition, leaves our facility in its original, pre-collision capacity". If you don't look too closely, you can barely notice that the finish used on the damaged rims does not match the original powder coated black rims. Who needs to rotate their tires anyway! So if you don't need your car, and don't care about it being repaired correctly in a timely manner, then Duke City Auto Body is your place. #supportlocalbusinesses
