The fabric is horrible, it is not even close to sweatshirt Fleece fabric. And the worse I cannot return the fabric because the return + fee will cost me half what I paid for the fabric. I paid $55 for garbage, very disappointed
I am not a fan of leaving bad reviews...but this one is warranted. Be careful if you order white broadcloth from this company. As you can see clearly in my photo...it is NOT white. Unfortunately, I went ahead and pre-washed it at night for the next day's project. It looked purple then...but I thought...well, it is dark out so I am probably not seeing it correctly. The next day, I even asked my husband what color he saw. He said light purple. I should be refunded in this situation...but they are insisting that the fabric is white. Would love to know if anyone else sees this hint of purple. I am very unhappy with my purchase and the way that they are ignoring this obvious color mistake. The photo shows the fabric next to white paper towels. They are offering NO refund.
I've had a great experience ordering from fabric wholesale direct so far. They're easy to order swatches from, have fast shipping, and the quality of fabric you receive is the same as what you receive on their swatches. Definitely recommend then to other sewers!
I bought sheer material last year for drapes-excellent quality and much less expensive than the brick and mortar stores. I just purchased 10 yards for my daughter's wedding gown. It is gorgeous. I had some questions which I emailed and they got right back to me.
Also material comes in a bag but for 15.00 they will put it on a roll, which was perfect.
My cloth dining chairs (from my great grandma) were getting demolished by a toddler, so I reupholstered them with some vinyl from Wholesale Direct and I love how they turned out! It's good quality stuff for a great price.
I have been a customer of FWD for 4 years. I use hundreds of yards of velvet in my designs. They used to have a wonderful quality velvet but now it's cheap, nasty and feels inexpensive. My last few orders all had fabric with damage on the velvet. Sorry FWD but you lost me as a customer!
I'm so impressed with Fabric Wholesale Direct. The prices, the customer service, the selection, the website (which has taught me so much) New to sewing so just learning fabrics. I love the white glove demos! That is so helpful! I can't even go into a brick and mortar fabric store anymore because I'm shocked at the prices. FWD is so easy. You can find what you're looking for in no time. I love that, no roaming around the fabric store and waiting 20 deep to get fabric cut.
The fabric quality was excellent and exactly what I needed. I went to FWD because this other site I'd ordered from has still not even shipped my order, despite having confirmed order in early January. FWB confirmed order and shipped within a 2-day timeframe. My fabric arrived in less than a week, well within their advertised timeframe of "7-10 days."

Our cat developed a peeing problem, so rather than buying all new furniture, we decided to cover our existing couch and chair with waterproof fabric. Stumbling on Fabric Wholesale Direct, I was pleased to see that they had videos and explanations of the fabrics, showing how the materials responded to water, crushing, etc. Ordering samples was easy and they arrived with extra fabric information on them (density, etc.) After testing them ourselves, we ordered several yards to make custom couch covers. I haven't sewn the fabric yet, but the fabric reviews also stated that a consumer machine can sew this fabric - no industrial machine needed. I appreciate that! Once these covers are done, we will definitely be buying more fabric to redo the couches downstairs as well. Looking forward to ordering from them again. The process was quick and easy!
I purchased trellis blue fabric for outdoor cushions, knowing the material was water resistant. I live in Maine and do not have scorching daily sunshine; in fact, the cushions were predominantly under an awning, taken inside in the evening and because of rainy days, they have been outside for a total of less than 20 hours.
I am disappointed and dissatisfied to say the least. The fabric has turned purple! There is no question about it. A guest walked on to our deck and said, "Wow, you've got purple cushions! Never thought you'd do something like that!".
I knew that after about 500 hours, there was the possibility of fading. This is not fading but a color change.
I contacted the company several times and all they could suggest was a discount on a future order, knowing I would not order form them again. "Customer service" was a joke.
I have ordered from them many times and this is second time were their shipping is taking more then two weeks to ship. On their website it says orders over$99.00 ship for free in 7-10 days. Exactly two weeks to day today and I just received portion of my fabric. Lady I talked to doesn't even have a clue where the rest of my fabric is. They do not care that my business will not be able to deliver my products in time.I will no longer do business with them.
Apparently the site has changed because the other reviews make this website sound nightmarish. I stopped shopping at JoAnn's and gave this site a try since I had two return my fabric to JoAnn's three times after buying it in the store because the fabric pretty much fell apart as soon at I cut my pattern out. I ordered navy satin and teal cotton jersey fabric, they arrived within 2 weeks. The wait was worth it, they're great quality. I bought them on Black Friday, I have no regrets: the prices and quality are so much better than a JoAnn's fabric store. There's no smell, and it's exactly what I ordered. I took some photos when I received it. The shiny one is the navy satin.
I love this website and I love their customer service. I have placed a couple of different orders and Teresa by far has been the most helpful rep ever! I am so grateful to have found a website that has amazing product along with phenomenal customer service.

Delivery times are ways an issue! It takes WEEKS to get your order! Recently I paid for expedited shipping as I needed my order ASAP... never received it! Customer service blew me off and couldn't have cared less!

This is my first experience with this company. After I ordered, I found this website and began to freak out on all the bad reviews. Scared I'd have the same experience as others, I checked every day for a tracking number. It arrived on third day, just as the site promised. The fabric came in this morning, a day early according to FedEx.
Some reviews mentioned stained fabric and short on the cut. So I looked both pieces over, (9 yds and 12 yds each) and found no stains. I measured them. Both were properly cut.
So I'm going to give them another try. The price was right and the fabric I chose is lovely.
I really don't understand the very bad reviews concerning this business.
I placed an order with them on 11/26/20 and it was on my doorstep on 12/03/20. My order was 12 yards of 20mm thick x 54" wide clear Marine vinyl.
I would call that turn around time extremely good coming from New York over the Thanksgiving Holidays.
I contacted them via email and they responded very promptly with an expected delivery date for my order.
I would very highly recommend doing business with these people.
Ordered some fabric samples from them that seems to have been lost in the mail. Contacted customer service and was helped very quickly and samples were resent. Very happy with this interaction.
I order a lot of fabric for making quilt blocks. I've always been totally pleased with the quality of the fabric. The frosting on the cake is that the company itself has wonderful customer service and their reps are pleasant to work with. Very pleased with the shipping times and options as well.
