If it takes 4-8 weeks for fabric samples that are shipped to someone in the US from a company supposedly located in the US they are lying. This company is probably located in China.

I'm a cosplayer and Im often on a budget so I come here regularly to purchase my materials for my cosplays and I've never been disappointed, everything has been absolutely wonderful quality and I always look forward to buying from FWD! Shipping can sometimes take a minute, but it's usually arrives within a week/week and a half max. I definitely recommend them to all of my fellow cosplayers and costuming friends!

I placed an order and received an order confirmation and then heard nothing for four weeks. I tried to call (no answer) and email (no response) before finally threatening to dispute charges with my credit card company. I finally got a refund FIVE WEEKS laterthey just never packed and shipped the order. STAY AWAY! They may have been okay once but not any more!

I ordered 2 boxes of scrap fabric from them and they said was delivered on the 18th of April. No boxes actually arrived. I immediately emailed them and they said an investigation is ongoing. I told them to just return my money because I am not ordering from them anymore. This is after reading a lot of bad reviews about them. Too late. I am still waiting waiting for a refund. A customer rep named Brian keeps promising the same thing, that an investigation is ongoing and they'll come back to me after 24 hrs. This has been going on for almost 3 weeks now. I told him I just want a refund. He never addressed my refund instead he keeps promising about an investigation. I told him I'm not interested on the boxes anymore I just want my money back. But nope he is not addressing that at all. The deflection method is the scammers way of getting out of the situation. I really think this is a big scam. Don't ever trust them. I will go to every site and every review and warn people against them. I also reported them to Better Business Bureau and they haven't replies to my complaint yet

Even after reading reviews and seeing the low recommendation rates for this company, they are inexpensive so I decided to take my chances. Was that ever a big mistake! After a full week of no progress (they said they almost always ship within 2 days), I finally wrote to them to ask what the problem was. Wouldn't you know it, they gave me the same sob story they gave most who left them poor reviews, that they had too many orders and not enough staff, but rest assured, they will ship it right out. That still took another 48 hours.
Then, when I got the package, I saw that one of my fabrics was missing. They told me they had a stock shortage and could not send it. I asked why they did not bother to tell me before I pointed it out to them, and sure enough, another excuse (warehouse missed notifying me). They finally offered to either send out something else or refund me. REFUND please! Then they only sent part of the refund. No explanation, no idea why (although I have suspicions). I had to call them out on that to get the rest sent.
They will never see another dollar of mine, and I am hoping that they don't see any money of yours either. Yeah, they're cheap, but you get what you pay for. Don't spend money here!
I'm making three outfits for my daughters & I for an upcoming wedding. I ordered samples of several velvet colors, as I knew I wanted black, and my daughters had their eyes on plum & teal. As a photographer, I know how tricky it is to photograph fabric of this type, and render correctly on screen. A couple of the swatches didn't quite match the screen color, so when colors were chosen, I went with the SKU, disregarding photos on the website. However, the yardage I received matched the web photo, and was way off from the swatch! FWD was super helpful, and sent me yardage in the color I was aiming for, stating the wrong swatch was stapled to the SKU card. The new shipment is still slightly different, so I'm wondering if there was a third color offered at one time, or consistency issues in manufacturing. No biggie, as the teal yardage I have is close enough now! Images attached to show swatches of Teal & Turquoise. The yardage on right was ordered using the Turquoise SKU (actual yardage matches site photos, not swatch). Replacement yardage on left was sent using Teal SKU - close, but not a true match. Photos taken in incandescent & daylight. The Plum swatch & yardage matched exactly! Offered for help in deciding. FWD provided amazing customer service! Very friendly, helpful, and speedy. Customer for life.
I ordered from this company April 21, and I have yet to get my fabric, tracking number or a refund. When I email them the only thing I get in return is a message about covid 19. Buyers beware

I always Love the fabrics I order. Sometimes I'm surprised by the pattern. It is better and more beautiful than the pictures. I Love shopping this site.
The material that I order or have my customers order is always good and comes quickly. I love the service.
Ordered and received 6 yards of fabric (Ottertex Canvas printed Trellis White) on 7/15/20. The Fabrics pattern is printed out of square and twisted by about 3-4" across the width of the fabric.
Contacted the company and was told that this was normal for this Fabric which is completely false. There are numerous photos on their website from customers reviews that show this exact pattern perfectly square. I was told that if I wanted a refund that I would have to ship the defective material back to them at my expense and I would only receive the price of the material back and not a full refund including my expedited shipping that was over $50. They continue to point me to their return policy which is acceptable if I were trying to return a non defective product which is not the case here. Should have read the ratings online before placing an order with this company as they are all negative. If you read the ratings on their site somehow they are all magically positive which after doing a search of this company online you know they are not posting any negative reviews.

This is my favorite place to get fabric, when I order a sample they come quick so I can make my fabric choice.
Every order is given top priority. Communication when the order ships and went received is always on time!
The quality of the fabric and quick delivery more than exceeded my expectations. The ordered was delivered in less than a week.
I am a business customer. We order thousands of yards of fabric per year. I ordered 3 pieces of Dupioni silk for FWD to make some samples for display in our custom clothing retail store. We paid for the fabric and shipping to our factory in China. When it was unpacked and inspected, the factory disqualified the fabric because it had 2 holes in the fabric (holes, not slubs). We asked if the fabric could be used by cutting around the holes to make the sample garment, but we were told it could not be, based upon the location of the holes. We are a busy company with hundreds of orders in process at any given day, so it took us a couple of months to contact FWD about the problem. We sent photographs to document the damage found upon inspection at the factory and asked that they replace the fabric. We have never cut the fabric or altered it in any way. I hear back from them saying that they could not honor our request because it had come outside their 7-day policy. We had relied on statements such as "Our No-Questions-Asked Return Policy is just a testament to how confident we are in our fabrics," which is taken directly from page one of the FWD website. Instead of apologizing for wasting our time by sending the badly damaged fabric to the other side of the world at my expense in the first place, they hid behind their bad 7-day policy. (Their 7-day policy is not mentioned on their invoice.)To add insult to injury, they had the audacity to offer me a $20 refund, which doesn't even cover shipping, much less the total cost of the order (fabric, international shipping, duties...). Companies like this one deserve to be known for what they are. They suck
