Came across the 2 for £24 leggings deal but had was NOT made clear I was signing up to a £44 a month membership deal. Everything in small writing and does not draw the customer to the full details. Promotional emails saying I was "in credit" get sent to promotional folder in email which I don't check.
Extremely disappointed this practice happens in this day and age. Never buying from them again and won't be recommending to anyone.
My daughter had VIP credits, she spent the credits, then canceled her VIP membership, she did not have enough money on her account to pay the £6.00 additional cost.
Mother used her own debit card to pay the cost.
Despite canceling the membership they have now taken the monthly fee from mother's card.
This is fraudulent and we are appalled at what they have done.
There is no way of getting confirmation that the VIP membership is cancelled as it has to be done on online chat.
AVOID AT ALL COST
Misleading information given by this company about your money. They refer to money they take from your account as credits. As a customer I'd like them to be clear and say we are debiting your account for x amount which you can now spend online.
I was emailed two days after a deadline to skip a month and my account had already been debited. There was no information in the email about the date my account had been debited and for how much.
When you go onto your profile you can't see your payment information.
This feels like a scam.
Also, I was told on the phone by them that I could only buy things for £44 even though I have more than that in my account with them.
Very unclear communication. Poor customer service. Leaves you feeling duped.
I ordered 2 pairs of running leggings from this site, as it was offering a discount for VIP users. Little did I know they would from then be taking £44 pounds form my account every month. This is a disgrace, I will not be shopping from here again.
I bought clothes of this website (quality awful) although I can get over that. On the other hand, I am disgusted and disappointed that I have been charged £88 these past two months unknowingly. I want my money back and for this fake subscription to end! Not happy.
I am deeply distressed following my experience with Fabletics. Having not given thought to the company, I logged into my account a year after my first purchase to see that I have been charged 750 pounds over the past 17 months for a VIP membership I apparently signed up to on my purchase (this was not made clear at all). When I called to ask for a refund, I was advised that I could only be refunded for 12 months. I appreciated this and the customer service agent I spoke to on the phone seemed to understand my plight but maintained that this was all they could do. I now have 220 pounds credit to spend, which I do not need. I cannot fathom the idea that a company who has had so many terrible reviews and had many people be continually disappointed can continue to exist; it is as if they make money from peoples' misery.
Ordered some pairs of leggings for Christmas for my daughter. £72.00 Just found out they have been taking £44.00 out of my account for the last 5 months. How can they do this. Bank has hopefully sorted it. Please, please do not use them. Watch Dog needs to be made aware.
Made an account for myself and then an account for my sister, made one purchase on each account and have now had £88 taken from my bank for a membership I didn't ask for or want! They tried telling me it was clearly stated that I'd be paying when I saw nothing of the sort and definitely did not click that I approved these pre payments going out each month! Disgusting! Company won't even give me my money back, point blank refused. Awful customer service! So I'm down £88 for an account I would never want to use again! Think it's disgusting that I can't get the money back!
This web site is a con and anyone who has given them a positive review very obviously works for them! They sign you up to their VIP membership which takes £44 out of your account unless you 'skip' the month. When you go to use the skip button it doesn't work so you pay £44 which is non refundable. Because I complained they have now closed my account and have my £44 credit which I cannot have either refunded or spend. I cannot see how this is legal!
When dealing with their staff they were unhelpful and rude. Kate Hudson should be ashamed to have such a business associated with her.
Like other I was automatically signed up for vip
Its good to see I'm not the only person who was automatically signed up for vip membership on my first purchase. I was not aware of this until I get an email saying I'm now being debit £44 for a website I will not be purchasing any further products from. The site did not make clear at the time that you needed to check out as a guest if you did not want monthly direct debits being taken. When I contact fabletics via live chat I just got a load of pre populated statements advising of all the fabulous rewards I will get ignoring the point I wanted to cancel my subscription and get my money back. I now have £44 sitting in an account that will never be used in fear that I will reactivate this stupid auto subscriptions and lose further money. Appalling service! Total scam!
I was super excited about this website at first, I thought it was awesome how they had a 2 for 24 deal but what I didn't bargain for was being charged 50 bucks after not having bought anything this month. As soon as it happened I called and wanted a refund. The lady I spoke with on the phone sounded like she was reading something off of a piece of paper and ignored absolutely everything I had to say. After telling her that I literally cannot afford this right now she said I would be able to be refunded and it would take 5 days to process. It's been 6 days now, my VIP membership is still intact and I still haven't gotten my refund. I've tried removing my Credit Card information but opted for barring online purchases so they can't charge me again, since I can't remove it anywhere.
Ripped off and robbed of money, automatically credited monthly on their account from mine, after having pressed "accept" instead of "skip" by an unclear VIP membership button.
As if this was not enough, one I made a purchase to claim my £88 credit, it turned out that my credit could not be applied to what I wanted to buy!
So, I was made to spend more money with a trick and I still have a £88 credit! Why is this even legal?
Furious!
So I have recently experienced some disgusting service from you're company, not only have they taken money, refused to refund me, refused to send me a return label because of a mistake that was made on you're computer system they have just taken a further £44 from my account with out permission and are now ignoring my Facebook messages!
I can't believe you think is ok to treat people this way and think that if you ignore the problem it will just go away!
I have asked over and over for someone to call me and would like to get this resolved but has been going on for over 2 months now.
I am left out of pocket and with items I don't and yet you are doing nothing to resolve this.
This company is a big big fraud! BE AWARE GUYS! I bought 2 for £24 leggings in March 2020 but since then they have been charging me £49 every single month. I wasn't even aware of it, I only came to know when I saw my PayPal account activity. It is so stressful for me and am so disappointed. Never ever go on to their website do any shopping, you will not even know when you are trapped. SCAMMERS! I am going to complain about them everywhere and will make people aware in all social media platforms.
See the attached picture from PayPal account, they have been taking £49 every month. I never authorised any payment. My fault- I bought 2 leggings, of which I returned 1.
First they trick you into buying a 'sale'. What clothing company will charge you £44 a month for not buying anything. Then they make money from people who don't cancel it because they are not aware that you have to cancel something every month not to get charged. That idea is from a conman. How many young people, elderly and disable or mentally challenged have they conned. So many able adults were not even aware they've been charged hundreds of pounds because of this con. Mentally challenged people may not be able to complain and fight to get their money back. People who worked hard for their money and this company uses tactics so easily to con people. How are they allowed to carry on with this fraud. Is someone going to do something about it. The government, trading standards, consumer rights?!
I have already reviewed this company and advised people to steer clear but I wanted to add something that will illustrate just what this company is like. They say they are going to take £44.00 per month - whether you buy or not - and if you don't buy they hold it in credit for you until you do buy. That, to me, is bad enough, how dare they take your money for nothing. But the worst thing is they say they "send a reminder email" which is supposed to give you time to "opt out" of that months charge - every month. My first (and last) reminder - because I cancelled membership and insisted, and finally, received my money back - was sent to me on the 6th of the month - advising me to opt out on the 5th (a day before!). That just about sums this organisation up!
Very upset with the website as many other customers here. They charged 44 pounds from my card for being a VIP member. Now trying to cancel the membership and can´t get hold of anyone on the website through the life chat. I am not in the UK currently and will not be for another month and I can´t get through the phone number from a different country. It says it does not exist.
I really wish I had read this site prior to ordering from this company.
Sizing of products is bad and if you return items they take weeks to refund you. I have never experienced this before.
Currently am waiting for a refund still after 3 weeks and intend to consider small claims court.
Please think carefully before using company!
I wish I would of read the reviews before giving them my cc info... a week later and they were still preparing to ship my order? That's a f*cking joke and customer service from Priscilla hardly made me feel secure. Id rather spend 500 dollars at $#*!s sporting good then waste my time and money for a business that is poorly ran. They need to give up already..
Purchased a couple of items then noticed 5 months later Fabletics had taken £44 each month from my account. Rang customer service and they refused to refund money stating that the VIP service I had chosen was clearly spelt out. Rubbish it's an automatic opt in when you buy and I am not easily taken in. They send emails but I hadn't received as they'd been intercepted as junk mail.
They have agreed to return 3 months but I will call my bank tomorrow and advise if the scam and hope to get all my £220 back. Well miffed.
Fabletics UK has a rating of 1 stars from 172 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Fabletics UK most frequently mention vip membership, customer service and bank account. Fabletics UK ranks 97th among Subscription Shopping sites.
