EyeBuyDirect.com sells prescription eyeglasses and frames, as well as sunglasses.
The company has garnered a solid reputation for providing affordable, quality eyewear, with many customers praising the extensive selection and effective virtual try-on feature. Satisfaction with product quality is prevalent, particularly for prescription glasses, which are often noted as a cost-effective alternative to traditional retailers. However, concerns regarding slow shipping times and excessive communication, particularly following orders, have been highlighted as significant drawbacks. While most customers express overall satisfaction, the inconsistency in delivery and customer service experiences indicates room for improvement in operational efficiency and support responsiveness.

I was hoist by me own petard and landed with my new spex pronto. Beautiful. Swank pricing and "Bonus " selection. I am so happy.
Excellent selection, easy ordering process, great prices, and quick shipping.
Ordering was easy, prescription is good but I was not great with the measurement of my head. EyeBuyDirect reached out to me a few days later and made it very easy for me to exchange my glasses.
Firstly, the website is using deceptive sales practices by advertising 2-day delivery on select glasses, when in fact, once you arrive at checkout the additional $19 fee is not actually for 2-day delivery- it's for 2 day processing in addition to the selected shipping method. Secondly, while on a call with a non-managerial employee, I was placed on two long holds in an attempt to allow him to time to "locate a supervisor or manager", and then suddenly disconnected by from the line by the employee as I continued to wait. The employee agreed that the wording/marketing on the site was incorrect & deceptive, but stated there was nothing they were going to do to rectify this within his department and offered no assistance for resolving the situation to ensure 2 day delivery, when in fact they do have alternative options, according to the website under shipping, for UPS next day air which will account for 2 days including the day ordered. The products are nice, but the sales practices are deceptive and customer service is not only difficult to understand, but also extremely unprofessional.
I have ordered several pair of glasses from EyeBuyDirect. I am pleased with the quality and the turnaround time and the price. I have recommended this site to friends & family.
I was looking for some cute, simple blue light glasses that were well made but that didn't break the bank. These were perfect!
I'm getting multiple emails from EyeBuyDirect a day. At least 3 three, every **** day!
Who's buying a pair of glasses every day/week/month that you need to be sending a lot of emails?
I unsubscribed from the emails and cut my ties with EBD. Never again.
Bought multiple pairs of glasses to find one I liked in person after virtual try-on with the idea of returning what I didn't want as stated on the site. Turns out when you return pairs, discounts are taken away. When I tried to return more than half of my purchase, I was going to pay almost double the price of for the pair that I wanted with discounts removed. I ended up just returning all of them and buying glasses elsewhere.
I used the sites measuring directions against another pair(same manufacture) which I also love. Glad I did because I was going to order medium frame size but measurements said go with Large!
Like anyone else who has never bought glasses online, I was very skeptical when this came up on top of google searches. I looked all over the Internet and read different reviews and it seemed like there were so many positives, but I was concerned they could have been paid. Anyway I went to the website, started my order found a pair of frames that I liked after uploading my photo to try on. I was really surprised that by the time I got to the checkout the price was still as affordable after adding all the options that I wanted. I got the Decadence frames, chose the thinnest lenses that they offer, added all the bells and whistles and the total still came to $89 with two day shipping! The glasses arrived early morning on the second day which is far less than 48 hours. And the best part is the glasses look great and fit perfectly. After this experience, I don't even know why visionworks and all these other companies still exist. They charge so much but with these guys I'm getting more fashionable options for very cheap.
I purchased two pairs and had to exchange one. It went smoothly! The only complaint that I have is that they have you pay for lenses even if you are having prescription lenses made when you get them at a local Eye Doctor.
I always buy multiple pairs from this site, I've lost count with how many purchases I have made. Think I have over 20pairs of glasses from here.
I found exactly what I wanted at a good price- and I get compliments daily from people who like my glasses. They look good on me and they're lightweight, but sturdy. Fit my head and face perfectly.
It was an easy shopping experience. There were a lots of options.
These are my new favorite glasses. I wanted a look like a Ray Bans I saw in target (but not as pricey) and these came through. They're not too heavy on your face but are way sturdier than plastic.
I first bought a pair of glasses from EBD, but for some unknown reason my order was suspended and I was asked to provide my prescription again. It took me a few days to obtain my physical copy, and after I finally did, it took weeks for my glasses to arrive when it should have been expedited.
Answer: Or you can be like me and have not received your order after more than a month of waiting. Granted, I'm in Guam, but given that the USPS works here pretty much the same way it works in the states, no other retailer has any problem getting their packages to me in a timely manner. The company has sent me two different tracking numbers for the same package. The tracking report from the post office says the package was supposed to be here 12 days ago and the last time it appears the package was scanned was 24 days ago. I have emailed the company multiple times and every time they reply with some generic apology and continue to stall. The package clearly got lost in the mail, I get that and I am typically a reasonable person but any respectable merchant intent on providing good customer service in today's online marketplace would have owned up to the issue and offered a refund or have already shipped out a replacement product. They've done neither. Does it mean they are bad people running a bad business? Probably not. However, it does mean there are probably better companies out there to give your business to who won't take so long to get you your glasses.
Answer: It depends on the frame. Some are plastic, some are metal, and there are other materials used as well. The descriptions will indicate the materials they are made out of. I've ordered 3 pairs from EBD ($6 and $9 pairs--cheapest there are) and they are excellent quality. An equivalent pair of frames alone from the store would have cost $150+, not including lenses.
