I paid extra to have my items overnighted - I check the status online myself and come to find out that the order won't arrive for another 4 days! I notify Customer Service of my issue and they just say "sorry for the delay". I requested to cancel the order as my items will not arrive on time and I was told it cannot be done and I'll have to wait to get it then return it on my own. So after I point out a failed delivery as promised, I'm dealt with additional steps to take to handle an already frustrating situation? Worst customer service ever.
I got a $40 birthday cash rewards, which I used them to buy 2 shirts, ended up pay nothing else out of my pocket, but the shirts didn't fits me, so I took them back to the store, thinking that I was going to get a exchange, for a bigger size, but I end up loosing everything my shirts and my birthday money, they don't want to exchange the items or putting back the $40 birthday cash, so if something like that happens to you, keep the items to your self, give them to a friend or sell it, in order to buy the stuff back, but don't do what I did, express don't give you $#*! back, you will end up loosing everything! Express sucks!
The clothing is great just know that shipments take forever. When I can't find a size in the store the employee is so eager to have me buy online so I did and I'm waiting a month later - this was a mistake

There was a sign as you exited in very very fine print that stated it was for the lowest priced items that you buy.
The checkout is very deceiving. They charge you "FREE SHIPPING" to Canada, BS. They just say that to deceive you. They add an "international processing fee" instead of just plainly making it a shipping price. And it's barely noticeable, you won't even see it. And, it doesn't even come on the receipt of your email... It would just show "Shipping/ handling $0" which is a complete lie.
I bought a pair of summer shorts recently. The front pockets are extremely shallow, lack depth, so you lose keys, cash, change, etc. Material of the shorts is a poor quality of cotton, very thin, fragile. I no longer wear the shorts, due to very high risk of losing things.
I ordered a pair of pants through the Modesto Ca store on November 1 because they did not have my size. The girl slid my card and I left thinking everything was alright. I never got any email confirmation of my order. My pants never arrived. After 3 weeks of waiting, I finally called customer service. They stated that my order was closed, and they would place a new one. The man told me my package would arrive the following Monday. Still no email and still no package. Now, it's a week later and I just got off the phone with customer service again. The lady said my order had been closed again. This time, they explained that it was because the pants were sold out. I'm upset because I never received any email even though every person I spoke with said they would send me one. Ughh!
I ordered 3 things on Nov 28 with a free shipping and my order has not shipped yet. They said they will upgrade the shipping... upgrade the shipping? For what? I need you to cancel my order and give me my money back! I hope that upper management reads this forum and actually do something about their customer service and their shipping dept. Seriously, you guys should be ashame of yourselves.
I ordered clothes from express in the begging of April. The pair of leggings had a rip in them, so I returned them for a new pair. Three weeks later, still no new leggings. I called multiple times and they kept reassuring me they would come, but a month and a half later, still nothing. I called again and they finally admitted that another pair had never been shipped. At this point the item was out of stock. They offered me credit to buy another product for the same price and I was so angry I just asked for my money back. Another two weeks and I still don't have my money back. I called again to find out that they simply cancelled the new leggings (that were zero dollars because they were being returned) and not the original item. I was assured this time I would actually get my money back, but I'm doubtful. I used to shop at express quiet often, but this experience has completely ruined their company for me. I will not be shopping there again.
I ordered 11 items during the Black Friday sale, some of my items got cancelled but the rest was supposed to be on its way to me in Canada. I had a tracking number but it seems that it never made its way out of Ohio. On Dec 20, they told me they received my return. Looks like the package was rerouted back to them. What a disappointment. Come Boxing Day, I decided to try again. Due to their Boxing Day mistake, they said they would give me free overnight shipping. 2 weeks went by, my order was still pending. So I called customer service, they said my entire order was on back order which is impossible. All 15 items unavailable? I looked online and some items were still available. The service rep told me to just cancel my order because the order will automatically cancel itself after 2 weeks or so. The service rep was not very understanding at all. I've ordered from Express before with shipping to Canada earlier last year and they had no troubles... Sigh. Very disappointed.
I went to an express store in Lewseville, TX today walked out $140 worth of purchases and stepped out to grab my kids to see if they would like a some items from the store. After about 20 minutes, we left and suddenly their anti-theft alarms went off as we walked out which was interesting because it never went off when first left the store and then walked back in. They were only profiling my kids and I because we walked in wth and Express Shopping bag.
I've been shopping at express for YEARS on top of YEARS, and their clothes are everything. I have sweaters, and jeans I bought more than 10 years ago that still look brand new. I don't live there new (ONE ELEVEN) clothes they look super cheap, but everything else that is original express clothes are to die for. Plus, you can return your items up to 60 days it use to be 90 days. They changed the 90 day return policy, I think a year ago. Neverthless, this is my place for my cute button down shirts, and comfy clothes place. Their tights are super cute, and their graphic tees are comfy as well. They use to sell the cutest dresses that fit so cute, but they no longer sell cute dresses. The dresses look like old lady clothes now. Lol You can always go inside of a store to exchange, get a refund back, or a giftcard for anything that you buy online. I'm a online shopper so, I shop online all of the time.
I have bought many pairs of paints from Express over years, I'm a thinner guy and they fit well so on so on. I ordered 2 pairs of pants from express on a Monday for a rehearsal dinner on that Friday. Knowing I was a little late on the order I paid the $15 extra for 2 day shipping, a little expensive but reasonable and I just straight up needed the pants. Well they aren't going to be delivered until the Monday after the wedding. Not cool. I contact customer support and they pretty much say, oh our bad here's your $15. What they fail to even acknowledge is that I now have to drive 40 miles to the closest shopping center to me, take a half day off work, and buy an $80+ pair of pants that once Express' shipment arrives late, I will not need at all. So yeah don't give Express your business, not the sort of accountability you would like to see from a chain.
Do not trust this credit card. Customer Service will deny to help you even if they over charge you. The are Liars. They charge a late fee of $38 even if you submit your payment on time. This is about cashiers getting their extra $2.00 when they get a good loyal customer to get the credit card. They don't care about how much they will scam you. BEWARE!
Their customer service reps lie to customers. Their so-called promo codes never work. Their app totally sucks. I have had to contact customer service numerous times because the promo codes won't work on my orders and they have to apply the codes to my order AFTER the order is placed. Which means my funds are tied up for five days before they release them back into my account. Their customers service reps are totally unapologetic. I'm done with Express.
My family & I went to Express store in Potomac Mills, VA. We saw the sale signs that were showing 50% off suits. In fact I specifically picked a photographer suit that was displayed under the 50% off sign. Based on that sign (I took pictures & would be happy to share), I tried on different sizes of suits, matching shirts & accessories for about an hour. I was highly disappointed after standing in line for another 20 mins to find out the suit I picked out was not on sale for 50% even though it was right below the sign. It is false advertising when you put a sign & the suit below it is not for sale for the percentage listed. I've been an express shopper for years & this makes me question that loyalty.
I spent at least 600 dollars in express dot com on the clearance section and everything went smoothly. I didn't have anything take more than a week to get to me and it all arrived correctly. I didn't buy everything all at once either so for there to be close to 10 separate packages coming, it wasn't bad.
I ordered a bunch of things from Express on Black Friday, and was very excited that everything was 50% off. They priced my items correctly, but
1. (and this is not a huge deal) their processing takes FOREVER (has still not processed from a week ago, which I did not expect from them), and what is shipping has been pushed back several times. The estimated shipping date is past what was first estimated (the 5th-7th).
2. Here's the big red flag: I checked my credit card statement, and there is a second order from Express processing now. It is the same exact price, down to the cent, as my first order. This is not cool, because I didn't place a second order, so I don't know why it has already charged me the first time, and now there is another charge pending.
Maybe this happened because it was Black Friday, but they need to get it together over there.
…you want to be bothered by constant emails that, apparently, you cannot truly unsubscribe from. I've never bought anything from Express and yet they constantly send emails to me. I've "unsubscribed" countless times but continue to receive their trash advertising emails. This tells me that Express is not a trustworthy company and they represent all that is bad in US business practices. Commercial Terrorism!
Express has gone down hill. The quality of clothing and shipping isn't what it use to be. I received clothes in the mail with the security device still attached. The whole purpose of ordering online is the convenience of not having to go to the store. When I went to the closest location to me to have the device removed they said they didn't have the tool to do it because it was an old device and that I would need to call the number on my shipping label. After calling they stated I could return the item and I would be charged shipping. This is outrageous! I'm done with Express!
