I returned by mail an online order. When I received refund not only did they subtract return shipping but they refused to refund sales tax on the purchase. It was a small amount but the online division of this company is very shady.
In addition on the order they added 20 cents for whatever. When you add up all these bogus charges on thousands of customers the amounts could be in the thousands of dollars.
I really wanted to like Express because of their Petites line, but after placing 10 orders within the last year, only TWO have actually shipped. They will list items as being available on their website (or say that there are 'only' 1 or 2 left), and once you place your order, it will show as "processing" for several weeks before they cancel it without telling you. The only explanation I have ever gotten is the item is 'out of stock' even when these orders were placed on newly released items. I have tried messaging Express several times, but I have never received a response beyond the poor excuse that they have given. I am NEVER ordering from Express again. There are plenty of other better options out there with better inventory and better customer service.
Express is constantly cancelling my orders, i realized i shop clearance but they claim the item is out of stock but ill see it on the website still and weeks later. I'm not sure if it because i use my rewards to pay for it but this is so annoying. Also if you get a free shipping code it never works!
It's my first time shopping online from express and it is an awful experience. Even though I paid for an overnight shipping for two items I purchased online, they sent only one item and left the other one! I have been trying to have them send the other item without any success. They jerk you around on the customer service calls telling you it would only take 24 hours for it to be processed and shipped, to only have to call them again and get the same response. I wish I had read reviews before I got in bed with express, it would have saved me a lot of pain! Incase someone reads this before their online shopping from express, DON'T DO IT! They are awful!
I ordered a bracelet gift. They sent my recipient a cheap necklace. They refused to make it right until my gift recipient first spends time and money mailing back the wrong item. Disgusting. They should send the right item with a return package for the cheap, ugly necklace. They essentially stole $30 from me. Nothing I said would get them to treat this correctly. Zero customer service and obviously they stole my money.
Be prepared to pay for shipping for only one item even if you have more in your cart. Items can be dropped from your order and you only find out once it's been shipped.
Terrible customer service. I've never gotten a response from any emails I've sent.
The promo codes don't tell you that they're only for certain items. You have to ask why the promo code isn't taking off anything from the price before you figure out what items you can use it on.
Had my order on hold with "processing" status for over 2 weeks now and upon discussing with their customer services, I was told item cannot be shipped out due to low stock. However, the website still allows new orders to be placed for the same item. So, you put the order in, they locked up your credit for who knows how long and chance that you won't really receive the item and your order will eventually be cancelled. Also, if you use Express reward balance to purchase item on Express.com and order gets cancelled, you won't get your balance back unless you call and ask them to re-issue the points -- too much of the mess! So beware and stay away.
I have bought a lot of clothes from Express over the years. As of recently their prices have sky rocketed and it seems like the quality has gone down! My sweater jackets fall apart at the seams and I'm not used to paying 60$ for a blouse when they used to be 30$. I like some of the style but I'm NOT falling for it anymore. I stopped shopping here. Moving on...
I used to love Express' Portofino tops but lately, it's like they are made of paper. Super thin, and never the same color shown on their website. This is the 3rd time, and it feels deceptive. The quality is also upsetting. The buttons are barely sewn on and there are loose threads everywhere. Also, they mail coupons that never work and they constantly email to post reviews, but then never actually post anything critical. Don't trust their reviews!
I placed two orders, Dec. 18 and again Dec. 24, to be shipped to the Tuttle Mall store. It is now Feb. 11,2018, and my orders still have never shipped. Went to the mall to inquire and they just tell me to keep waiting. I finally call 1-888 number to get a rep to say, yes my orders are still pending and he has no clue why. My charge card has pending charges that I am tired to seeing every day. Just ship the darn jeans! Finally told the rep to just cancel my orders altogether and credit my charge card. Express will never be able to compete with online processing of merchandise that other stores currently have. Stay with being a brick & mortar store, god forbid you keep pissing off your customers.
I gained $40 of rewards and it was showing in my account. Upon checking out the $40 rewards went away. Customer service would not reinstate the $40 even though I've been a loyal customer for YEARS. I Will NOT shop here again! They're too money hungry!
I place an oder and they got paid the same day. It has been 2 months now and no product. I emailed several times and they promised a full refund if I did not receive it. I continue to try to reach them but no response. When I tried to track my item it was apparently shipped with an insufficient address and it was returned to sender but they will not respond to my request for a refund... just stay away from this vendor!
Returned my items two months ago and never received refund. Contacted them and received an email back stating that it was never received. Suddenly the item was found once I told them I had insurance on the return and it was indeed signed for 6 weeks prior. They said they would refund my card however deducted shipping costs and and an additional 10 dollars that they cannot account for. Long story short - not worth it to return with this company. They are scammers.
I requested several gift cards from Express for Christmas this year. I ordered some items that never made it to my home. Unfortunately, when they were returned the money was never placed back on my gift card. I called to resolve and was hung up on the first time finding out that it was the end of that employee's shift. I called a second time and was promised the money would be reinstated on my card but when I went to use it 2 months later, it was not. At this point it's too complicated to fight but let's just say I will never request another gift card from this store. Very disappointing.
I have lots of classic clothing from Express it never hurts my sensitive skin. I wore a beautiful black pant suit from express to a concert. I loved great exchanges and returns are simple and drama free
I bought a number of stuff from Express online. First they sent it partially without letting me know about that. I was waiting for the my suit to go to my brother's wedding but I just got the jacket! Disaster! And the pant arrived after I was gone.
I purchased something on October 4th and they charges my credit card immediately. The tracking site show a 11/2 shipment to carrier in China and no further updates. I called and they said it was in the USA. Still haven't gotten my product. Live and learn. Never again.
Love their clothes and have been shopping online with them for years but in the last 6 mos. The quality of their shipping time, return processing time and customer service has seriously declined. I have never had a good customer service experience when speaking to someone over the phone and email is iffy. I am boycotting for the next 6 mos. And then give them another chance to improve down the line.
@express I have been a client of express for ever. I had never bought shoes. I bought the 1st before TG and I wore them once and the whole heel peeled off. I went to return them and they said no because I had used them. Do not buy shoes *******@express. Very bad quality
I made an order about 2 months ago got charged and received my ordered, erased my order number thinking everything was fine. Come to find out 2 weeks ago got cheated for an order I did not do a week later another charge 2 overdraft fee and customer service from express it $#*! they couldn't help me without my order number
