Been paying my card off faithfully for over a year everytime I used it. I paid it off and then didn't look at the card again for a couple months. Come to find out I had a balance go over those two months when the rep from Commenity Bank calls demanding I pay the full balance of $200 when I never used my card after paying it off. I tell the rep I don't know who you are but I will pay the missed payments immediately while you are on the phone using the app because i don't trust random calls. I did so and then told her I will pay the next payment on time when it's due. She gets mad and tells me no I need to do the payment through her. I disagree and get off the phone. 2 months later she makes sure she sticks it to me and ruins my perfect 100% on time payments by reporting the missed payments to my credit report since I paid on the app and not through her and tanked my score 60 points. I will be paying this off and will not shop here again. I spent thousands here and they just lost it like that.
I live in Canada and on Black Friday, I made a large order from the company's website. I checked my credit card statement and I was overcharged a total of $70. I called the company and they told me that it was a pre-authorization fee to ensure that my credit card was real and will fall out of my account within 3-5 business days. This is ridiculous. I was not made aware of this whatsoever throughout the entire purchasing process. I called Express three times, and I was told the same thing each time. I called my bank and they told me that that amount was already credited from my account and was debited it into Express's account. There was no pre-authorization fee on that transaction. I called Express for the fourth time and they said that it was the currency rate from USD to CAD. Basically the past 3 customer service representatives were telling me false information. The lady on the phone proceeded to find the page that says that the website is in USD, as a trained representative, she took over three minutes herself looking for the page. How are customers supposed to find it. NEVER SHOPPING FROM EXPRESS AGAIN
This site is EXTREMELY misleading and the customer service is poor. They neglect to tell you that if you order from them, it will take almost a month and a half to receive your items. I NEVER would have ordered from them if their website had stated that they ship from overseas. And FORGET about getting real answers to emails about statuses and resolutions to problems. They should be more clear that they are shipping from "East Middle of Nowhere" and that you shouldn't expect to see your items in a reasonable amount of time. PLUS, if the item arrives damaged, which mine did, it takes FOREVER to get a resolution. I placed my order on 11/26/17 and did not receive it until the second week in January 2018. Communications were frustrating, and customer service was non existent. I was offered a partial refund for the part was broken OR having a replacement part sent the same slow boat from China way the original was sent. A partial refund meant that I was stuck with an item that would work without the broken part so that was useless to me, so I am stuck with waiting and praying that the replacement arrives in good condition. They have my money, so they do not care AT ALL whether I am a satisfied customer or not. Lesson learned, do research of where you are ordering from so you don't get burned.
Ordered 4 pairs of jeans, but received 3 pairs and a tank top - I did not order a tank top! The shipping receipt clearly stated that 4 pairs of jeans are supposed to be in the package. So I called customer service and the girl lied to me and told me that I will be receiving another package. I called her out on the lie and told her that the shipping receipt says FOUR jeans are in the package... and no tank top. She couldn't really justify herself... Then she put me on hold for about 10 minutes. Then she proceeds to tell me that it was ShopRunners fault because they are the ones packaging the items. LIE LIE LIE! Shoprunner is a shipping service, but the items are still packaged by Express. I hang up the phone.
I called express 3 more times and nobody could resolve my issue. I finally called and asked for a manager, who was finally able to help me. But what a waste of time trying to rectify Express' mistake. Hence, I will never order or shop there again. I understand that mistakes happen, BUT PLEASE DON"T LIE TO ME!
I shop in the local express store constantly. The store I shop leaves the sensors on frequently. I was going to my child school functions and another sensor left on my shirt. I ran my child and myself up to the store to have as fast as I could so we round not be late. The manager helped me. Asked for a receipt, I explained I purchased this 2 mos. Ago. The sensor was left on it. She then scanned the shirt and said this is not coming up. As if I stone it. In front of my child and a line of people. She then asked for my express card. And the card I purchased it with. As I stood there for 10 mins. As she kept saying she couldn't not find it. I was embarrassed and offened. I told her I was in a hurry and I was offended. She said it was store policy. NOT TRUE! This store has left sensors in my clothes several times, and the staff did not question me. They apologized for the inconvenience. My child should not never think that her mother would steel. Get you staff in check. They should know to take a sensor off. Then to treat a paying customer like that did something wrong. I was unconvinced. I will never shop at that location again! Some example to set for my child!
I love shopping at express! I can find both work and casual clothes for truly any occasion. They are innovative, stylish and priced right.
While I was sitting there filling out the paperwork for a job, the lovely lady up front answering phones offer me something to eat... blessings

Express had an online sale for buy one get 2nd half off. I added the items to the shopping cart and started the checkout process but once i was at the last step to pay the total price was full price and did not account for the current sale that was going on. I re-did the order thinking it was just a weird online glitch. But same thing happened. I called and was told by the customer service rep to go ahead and place the order paying full price and to call back in 45 minutes and ask for the order to be adjusted for a refund for the sale. I said this doesnt seem right and asked if i could place the order by phone. He was annoyed of the extra work he would have to do but slowly took his time. At the end same thing happened he asked for the full price and i had to remind him of the sale. He put me on hold for a while and came back to say hes adjusting order to match the online sale. Finally the total was correct buti was leary to give him my card information. Order ended up being correct but as a customer you should feel comfotable/safe placing an order and i didnt.
I ordered from express.com everything was ok except the quality of the products I'm a little bit disappointed..

If I can give a 0 rating, I would. Im a regular Express customer and just the past couple months, Ive placed orders totaling almost $2K. Not only shipping and delivery times were slow, but also my orders arrived with missing items from each order I was charged for. One of the representatives I dealt with was helpful, but turned out, most of the items were completely sold out and some would never be back in stock. Thats what I hate about shopping online, youre always competing for the size. One minute its in your cart and gone the next. Theres no first come first serve basis. You get this item firsthand and just trying to spend more money on them so youre just taking a bit more time to check out. Its total bull$#*!! But thats not it, they advertise coupons online that would not work and send out coupons in the mail that would not work either online even if it says so, and when you call customer service, they cannot do $#*! to help you out! Cant apply the coupon youre trying to use and do any adjustments to the order because it has processed when Ive been on the phone waiting for over 40minutes! They even say to your face, you just gotta know how to shop! This is definitely gonna be the last time Im supporting this company cause it aint worth my time and money! Ill see your stores to return everything ordered and take my business elsewhere and spread the word about how rude, incompetent, and less-than-poor-quality-service ripoffs that you are!
If ZERO was an option on the review scale I would submit it. I have repeatedly paid extra for 2 day expedited shipping, yet it arrives up to 5 days late. Express tries to refuse refunding the expedited shipping charges, and even stated once they would "make an exception" and refund the charge "just this once"... What? They should refund it every time they don't deliver as contracted. If I pay for 2-day and it arrives in 7 days, I want my shipping charge back.
Many of the items I receive are poorly constructed, unfinished seams, buttons falling off, no lining, just cheap, cheap pieces.
Also, I took an item I received among several in an online order, into a nearby Express to return it, and brought my invoice along. The clerk couldn't find the order in the system and had to call corporate to process the return, saying there was a glitch occurring. I waited 45 minutes while she was on hold. Finally she said I could go, and she would continue trying to reach them, and they could just put it back on my credit card. Wow, you mean you could have told me that from the start, so i didn't stand there for 45 minutes? Two days later she called me saying they had JUST submitted the refund... and ten days later (today) still no refund. I just called Customer Relations to discuss & find out when my money will be returned, and they are "closed early" today. Nice. No one can take my call and there is no voice message option. I have emailed, days ago - no response. I think this company is run by inept teenagers, and this hardworking adult is taking her biz to other professional retailers - back to Nordstrom and Banana Republic; good riddance Express - SO done with your crap.
I'm writing this because this is my second encounter with the same person and she was so rude! The first time was month ago and I asked to go to the changing room she was rude about it and I thought It's little late she is tiered and it's ok. I decide to buy 5 items and when I got to the register of course she was the one who was checking me out her attitude and her ton of her voice IS NOT acceptable! In any situation Yesterday 3/24/22 I went back to the same store Southlake mall IN and the girl description blonde long hair@1:45pm the same girl from the other day was there! She didn't let me try anything on saying Covid restrictions (we know that's not true) and I said I'll get this jeans they are buy one get one 50%off she said they are not included in the offer plus when I said there I sign on the table call someone to check it or I can show you she said simply NO What a joke I work in customer service all my life and I will never treat anyone like she treated me. I spend two thousand dollars or more every *******@Express and I don't deserve to be treated with disrespect. Express! Training your employees to respect your costumes should be number 1 on your list.

I placed an order and within 5 minutes realized i was charged an INCREDIBLE 40$ international processing fee on a 95$ order. Called within 5 minutes of placing order to cancel and was told MY ORDER HAD ALREADY STARTED PROCESSING SO THEREFOR COULDNT BE CANCELLED. I was absolutely shocked. This website and company is a total scam and are nothing but liars. How can an order placed at 3am be processed within 5 minutes? Utter BS. Not to mention the customer service agent told me to "just return the items" however I WOULD NOT be reimbursed the international processing fee. LIES. Once I read the fine print on the website, it it possible to receive those fees back from Express because THE CANADIAN BORDER AGENCY REFUNDS DUTIES COLLECTED FROM RETURNED ITEMS. The customer service agent simply told me to contact corporate...? This company is clearly just out to steal your money and now if I want to "cancel" my order, I must receive the order, return it, and try and argue with corporate to return the international processing fee that the canadian border agency would refund them. Totally a scam.

I've been shopping at Express for at LEAST a decade, and in the past year, the customer service there has gone to the dogs. They seriously make it SO difficult to place an order. Their app malfunctions ALL THE TIME, forcing me to call CS if I want to place an online order. Once I'm talking to a rep, they refuse to apply coupons... VALID COUPONS FROM EXPRESS. I get that clearance and other excluded items don't apply to coupons, but that is not the case with what I try to buy. Don't even get me started on the Birthday Coupons they send! When I called, EXPRESS REFUSED TO PUT IT TOWARDS MY ORDER. Happy Birthday indeed, why even send it out? Oh and another time, the CS on the phone accidentally used one of my Express Next coupons, and said she would post another to my account since it wasn't intended to be used on that order... yea, never saw that.
I've had nothing but horrible experiences at Express this year. If a company makes it THAT difficult for me to spend my money, then I wont. I refuse to shop here anymore. Unless you have unlimited amounts of patience, and don't care about coupons, do not shop here.
T just closed my account. They have a very dysfunctional operations. They kept sending me late fees bills even after I paid my balance. What a SCAM!
