I do not like to shop Black Friday so I thought I was treating myself to a bunch of cool clothes right before the Thanksgiving mad rush. Everything was supposed to be 50% off. My order went into processing and I even received an email saying that they have lots of orders coming through and the processing can take some time. So, I go about my business and I check back a few days later, still processing... I call and they tell me they have not received my order but that they can honor the 50% off. By now, lots of the cool stuff I wanted were sold out in my size. And, since my order still states it is processing, it can still potentially happen. I called back a couple of days later and was told that she can help take my order and honor the 50% off (which was still going on anyways so there was no extra discounts for all this inconvenience and a lot of the things I wanted were now gone anyways). When I told her this, she said, "There are better things on there now"... which is a complete lie because they have not added a single new thing on there and a lot of things are now missing many sizes and colors anyways. It is like she did not understand all the inconvenience I went through nor did she care. I asked to speak to her boss. I spoke to Jossyln and she backed up the employee and said she was just trying to make me feel better... no real apology or discounts, cute clothes, most of it okay quality but man, their customer service worth nothing. Express, wake up and perform better customer service before you go out of business... read the writing on the wall before you are finished.
I opened a card June 2017... had a 250 limit that I maxed. I been paying on time for over a year... I had a mishap with my other cc which is being fixed... even tho I never missed or was late with Express. They drop my credit limit to 150 bcuz of my dispute wit the other cc... I never missed or was late paying them for over a yr... they robbed me after I paid them punctually... $#*! EXPRESS AND COMMENITY BANK
I purchased four sweaters from Express.com on December 05/2017, when I received the items two of them was big so I went to the Express store located on 3101 Steinway Street Astoria, New York ******* to return them but the cashier refused and told me that I will have to mail it back, so I emailed Express on 1/3/2017 and I was told that I will receive a return label receipt within 7 business days but never received anything so I emailed them again on 1/12/2017 and it was no response back from them, so I called customer service and I was told that a label will be emailed to me within 24 hours again but again never received anything, so I emailed Express again on 1/15/2017 and asked them for the fourth time to email me a return label receipt and their response was to wait another 5 business days.
I believe that Express is ignoring my request until the 90 days return policy runs out.
I don't know how many times I have been on the site for a few hours adding multiple things into my cart ($300-$400) worth of clothing and I get to the cart to checkout and it says I have nothing in my cart. It is infuriating. It isn't like I left and it timed out. Then when I go in and put a gift card in, it will take it and then something screws up. It won't let me checkout. I will then delete the gift card, log out, log back in and boom... it says my card is invalid. Come to find out, they put a hold on my card for two weeks. It finally came off hold after calling 5 times and I go to place another order. Yet again, my items disappeared twice. I was about to give up but I really wanted the items. I go to enter the gift card and it says the same error message and now it is on hold again. Doesn't make sense! Why bother allowing people to buy gift cards if they never work on your site? I'm so done with Express. I've spent thousands of dollars there over the years, but now I'm taking my hard earned money elsewhere.
I just wanna say I can not thank the store manager and her staff for the outstanding and excellent customer services she provided to me when I came into the Houston First Colony store on yesterday. Not only do I think the store manager is so bubbly and was bursting with full of life and energy her spirit and great customer services out weighed what I was going through. Before I came into the store I was having a bad day with receiving some bad news for the holidays. I tell you the store manager came out and pour out her positive energy and her beautiful upbeat personally with that smile on her face made my day. In the past that store did not have that and the store was always felt so cold and was always in a bit of a
Mess but if you go there now you truly can tell the difference in management and the staff customer services skills and the store looks amazing and you can find things now. All I can say is Thank you for lifting me up at a time like this and my hat goes out to the staff who made my shopping experience so pleasant and wonderful. I just had to write a review on the excellent customer services that the manager provided to me when I was going through my holiday blues. She was amazing. Been shopping on and off for jeans from this company for years, and for tops and sweaters this past year or two. The quality of the merchandise has been steadily falling this past year. Material is sub par, tops stretch out, pill, fade, and fall apart within one season. I now call them throwaway clothes. Don't bother buying anything full price, quality is not there, sizing is all over the board. Their size charts a literally a joke, their jeans do not state inseam sizes, and size charts show sizes S, M, L etc instead of numeric numbers which is how their jeans sold. Their customer service people have to be the dumbest people on earth, when inquiring about the difference in inseam sizes between short, long and regular-they don't know, once I was told they are the same?! So not trained on any of their products, have no grasp on how to spell. Recently ordered jeans, they cancel it. Ordered again in a regular and they send me a long (probably a return). Actual jeans I got had tags listing long all over them except the price tag which said regular. Also customer service usually send boiler plate answers and really don't or can't read your question. Its like this company is run by toddlers. Reading some of the reviews on this website for them, I am absolutely sure they are fake or written by employees paid to do so. Half the time they don't post my reviews whether positive or negative. Now they stopped using Shoprunner (a service that is for free 2 day shipping and returns), so I really won't be purchasing much at all since they charge $8 to ship even the smallest order in a plastic bag.
I was at express store shopping at Southpark mall in Charlotte and I saw this wall full of pretty clothes hanging and there were at least big 4 signs saying 10!dollar. I was so excited. I grabbed few. Tried it on and stood in a long line to be told they were not 10 dollar. I asked the girl then how much was it she said 20 or 15 something and I showed her the sign she called the manager and she pulled the sign off the wall and in front of other customers said in stern voice. Do you see this selected written by the 10 dollar sign. I was embarrassed. And just walked out of the store empty hand. There was no indication in the tags I was going to buy how much it was going to be. And the wall plastered with ten dollar sign I expected that price. Very disappointed with the behavior of the cashier and the manager. Next day I went to express store in Carolina place and their signs and merchandise were appropriately placed. I placed an order from Canada, paid USD exchange rate and other costs for items worth close to $200 (full price). About 24 hours later, everything went on 40% off. I called to get a price match. They confirmed that they have 14 days price match policy, but refused to make "any changes" to my order as it was "already shipped". I asked for refund by way of discount, they refused and said it doesnt apply to previously purchased items. They said I can go to the store, return and get a price match (items that I dont have yet). Then they said why dont you re-order and get discount then return the full priced items. Well that means I repay the international service charge of about $15 USD plus the USD exchange rate, etc.
The lady on phone was ultra rude then came the supervisor about 20 minutes later named Nisha who treated me like I was an illiterate fool. I used to shop there for over 6 years (online and in-store). I shall never do it again. Its about principle and customer service which was highly disappointing.
I ordered a jacket for my husband on cyber Monday the 28th still haven't received it and now its the the 15 but the worse of it is that they charged me 3 times on different days.

Yeah so I really wanted to keep shopping at Express for my work clothes but after my first time online buying experience with them, I don't think I'll ever give them my money again...
I placed an order for 2 shirts and 2 pencil skirts. It took about a week for only the 2 shirts and 1 pencil skirt to arrive but the final item which was my skirt, never shipped out. Okay. I contacted them about it and they said give them 5 business days. 5 business days go by and they charge my card for the skirt, and then I get an email saying the rest of my order is cancelled. I was very flustered, considering I even checked back on the site and my skirt with my SIZE is back on the site and it says "only 1 left." I was appalled. I contacted them again and after 15 mins of chatting with their live team, they tell me it takes a couple days for the site to update the inventory. Not true... because when I placed the order initially, the skirt was out of stock and the site updated that immediately? Why else would Express just repost my skirt I purchased, also at a higher price.
It was a total scam and now I know, either shop there in person at your local mall or find another website to shop for work clothes. Just not worth it when they are complete liars.
I was trying to place an order online and the website kept making me put my address in multiple times. I had contact live support and they could t help me. They said Use another server. I kept closing out and redoing my order. Finally I was able to get the order to go through but the final order showed the shipment I chose was wrong. So I immediately contacted the customer service number to let them know that's not what I selected. I got through very quickly. The lady said my order was already processed and can't be changed. ( This was the free delivery and I wasn't going to receive it for a week and three days). I wanted the upgrade service which is $15 more.
With today's digital error and amazon just killing these type of businesses how does your system not allow you to change an orders delivery option within 10 minutes? Where is the customers needs here? We can change orders or upgrade shipping in most online businesses. How are the actual stores doing in business compared to online? This just blows my mind. So a company will let $200 walk away because they couldn't upgrade the delivery service which the customer wanted to pay for and originally chose. That is why I purchased it

My wife always liked shopping at express at the mall and dragged me along with her. Now I can buy her clothes without having to accompany her to the mall! This is fantastic!
I have a 15 dollar credit but every time I try to order something it gets cancelled! They first started claiming it's out of order but now they just say they cancel it

Their promises of shipping my order is a complete joke. THEIR CUSTOMER SUPPORT IS AWFUL AND THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
I have purchased fromExpress regularly for many years and have had great luck finding tops, dresses and jewlery. Not as much success with pants or shorts, but I can be picky.
