SCAM! STAY AWAY
November 2, 2016

This guys are registered from USA but operates in India 100%. A lawsuit will be impossible. They stole my money by misinforming about my ticket and I have email and call record to prove. Basically a large scam running from India as usual. Everytime i called, they would put me in hold for hours without saying anything. Just save ur self! Don't say u haven't been warned.

No Help
February 4, 2020

Experiencing the same issues as most of the one star reviewers. Was not notified of flight cancellations, I had to get in contact with the airline directly. I can't get ahold of any customer service representatives, by email or phone call. Was placed on hold multiple times, and waited over 2 hours each time, still no answer. If you are able to receive any actual help from this website, go buy yourself a lottery ticket, because you're one lucky duck!

I would caution strongly against using this site. It really looked like I had a successful booking but then they failed to confirm my booking and sent an email over 6 hours after my apparent booking looking for additional information. It ended up being a major fail and potentially screwing flight options. I would expect much better - if a ticket isn't confirmed it should be highlighted in a majorly apparent way and the customer not just emailed but called to let them know of the trouble.

Calling customer service didn't reveal any potential insight into how problematic this setup is. I would say they were polite and composed, however.

Here's a short summary of all the reviews you'll probably read about exploretrip.

Booked a trip.
Coronavirus.
Attempt to cancel.
Exploretrip doesn't honor the full refund amount despite airlines saying they will.

Next time will buy directly through airline or the flight insurance if it is cost effective when compared.

Very bad experience. I booked a flight at one price. That ticket at that price was returned and they charged me again at a higher price without even telling me. I called customer service and the guy said, "oh the taxes went up". What? Taxes don't all the sudden go up in 3 days. I asked to speak to a manager and he said no manager was there, someone will call be back. We'll see.

Got forwarded to Explore Trip from Sky scanner. First, they forgot my meal and window preference (I'm vegetarian). I understand there is only so much you can do about the seat but eating plain rice for 12 hours wasn't much fun. The bonus was when i showed at the destination and was missing 2 batteries from my photography, lighting kit.The airline (Air China) removed the batteries as hazardous materials and are still missing (the batteries are $500 each) I 've been flying with lighting kits for many years and that never happened before. When I called Explore Trip they said they have nothing to do with it and offered zero solutions. I won't use Explore Trip or fly with Air China ever again.

I booked a ticket and in the site, it says ticket can be cancelled within 24 hours and i was charged around 380$ for cancellation within 24 hours. Saying singapore airlines will charge. As per US OTA, there is 24 hour cancellation, but these guys are ripping money like anything. On top of that, they sent a mail to accept their charges which is pathetic.

Lucifer says it's not his fault, he's one of the representatives I spoke to. Anyways, what happened is I payed them 728 dollars, they cancelled my ticket as a antifraud measure, and now they want me to wait a shaky 2-14 business days for a refund. Had to have my debit card changed, and a dispute filed against them. Waste of time, true test of patience, now have to see if I can muster up more money for a plane ticket to a new job, and still arrive on time. So, if you read this, idk I guess use your own best judgement?

So I purchased a ticked for my daughter and grand daughter travelling from Edmonton to Toronto. They have canceled my ticket and could not refund the money. It has been horrifying experiences as we bounce back email and phone calls with their agency and no help. I have sent all the requested information to two different emails (*******@exploretrip.con and *******@exploretrip.com) no response. Multiple follow up calls yield nothing! The summoner service representatives are extremely rude. I asked to speak with their supervisor and they put me on hold for hours and yet no one suppervisor... all I want is my money and cannot get it although they have canceled my tickets and they haven't charged my card which is big lie... please do your self a favour and stay away from them.

Awful
August 3, 2016

I used this ExploreTrip without reading reputations about them.

I booked a roundtrip overseas and right after booking they sent me PNR number but no payment confirmation attached to it.
I contacted them via email but they are totally unresponsive.

My flight is two months away from now.
My worry is that they will cancel my flight or charge me new higher price than original price offered at the site.
What should I do to prevent these from happening?

If I could give no stars I would. Absolutely terrible. Showed up at the airport, after a 5 hour drive through the night, just to find out that my flight had been cancelled by ExploreTrip, though I received a confirmation email days ago. I had to call customer service three times because the first representative hung up on me, the second time I could not get a hold of ANYONE, and the third person I spoke to was completely rude and absolutely unprofessional. This "business" is a joke.

I got the worst customer service I ever expected to get.
I had to make a bunch of calls for nothing.
Got attended by Piper, Jeff Long (3315), and another really rude agent that did not want to give his name, but clearly said that he WONT and do not want to help me.
This is frustrating, and I do not recommend doing anything with this amateur website.

I booked flights for my husband and I totaling $3700 CAD. They charged my credit card $4100. I called customer service and the representative Von assured me that they would only charge the stated amount of $3700 with no extra fees and to email the Billings department. Still waiting on a response. Very doubtful I will get one. Definitely do not use them. Book with a more reputable company.

Policies are a scam
December 14, 2018

I would NOT go with this company. The policies are ridiculous. If you can get on your flight and have no issues, then good for you. But it is not worth the price difference, so just go with the airline direct. Booked through exploretrip.com and my flight got canceled due to airplane motor malfunction - was notified two months ahead of time, however I was booked a flight at a totally different time of day WITHOUT my permission. Went to call exploretrip.com and they are charging me $200 for an exchange PLUS the price difference between flights when the cancellation and booking were not under my control or permission! I have to pay the entire price of a new ticket due to their no cancellation refund policy. Complete bs

Tried switching the dates of my flights due to a change in job.
The customer service had me on hold for an hour and half. They proceded to give me no information, and were just completely incompetent at answering any of my questions. I talked to them for more than 3 days, spending hours each day on the phone, and writing very to the point clear messages of the questions I wanted answered. The money you save is not worth the hassle you will face trying to deal with those buffoons.

Really bad. Like what I've never seen before. I booked my ticket via this site and kept calling them several times for the e-ticket. After four days, they sent a mail saying that due to some technical difficulties they couldn't book the ticket. They gave me a excuse such as my credit card being bad. Later 2 days I saw them with the same price, so I called for what they've published. Now, they say the website will be fixed soon. What excuse for a company. So, please be aware these guys cheat people and don't share your credit card details to them.

If you want to see a Better Business Bureau D+ rated company in action try ExpressTrip. I got double booked and called them to let them know. And I've been waiting 4 weeks to get it resolved and still nothing. They don't call me I always have to initiate. It's been literally my worst experience with any company in the travel industry.

This is really a crap site, I've never seen before. Despite many bad online reviews about this site, I booked my ticket via this site and kept calling them several times for the e-ticket. After four days, they sent a mail saying that due to some technical difficulties they couldn't book the ticket. When I insisted them for the reason, they used their standard excuse that it could've been due to my credit card. Later 2 days I saw them publishing the same price (cheapest), so I called them again to get me the tickets immediately on the same price what they've published. Now, they admitted they've some problem in their website and it'll be fixed soon, which again is a lie. So, please be aware these guys cheat people and don't share your credit card details to them.

Myself and my partner just completed a tour of Mexico and Guatemala with Exploretrip.com.We had a small group of 6 including ourselves and our tour guide however it was an amazing tour. Our tour guide went over and above his role as a tour guide. He had wonderful knowledge of everywhere we went, gave us wonderful experiences, read the whole menu to us whenever needed and overall made our holiday a memory we will not forget. The tour its self was very fast and busy however we enjoyed this pace. So much...
