I had to cancel my ticket because I was severely ill, too ill to travel. They initially said they'd issue me my refund but charge me $250 fee. Then I told them I have a legitimate excuse and to waive the fee, of which they said would be fine as long as I sent them a doctor's certificate within 24 hours of my departure. I did just that even though I was barely able to move. I got no confirmation of my refund. Now they say they need to contact the airline and there's uncertainty. I don't get it! I went out of my way and did my part, they were so quick to charge my card. But now when it comes to customer service, they're slow to act and respond especially after I've submitted all the necessary documents including my prescription and diagnosis reports. I've been waiting for two weeks. They can take 4-8 weeks to process but at least give me a confirmation. I have emails that prove how disorganized they are with all their verbal and written promises - complete BS. I'm going to file just about everything under the sun if they don't give me an answer I deserve. It will cost them more to fight me than just issue my refund. NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH EXPLORETRIP! I wish I read these reviews sooner. They're directly liable for their misuse of my time and money.
BOGUS GROUP. Took my credit card info, told me my flight to Beijing was booked... buT LIES! They never booked it. NO FLIGHT. IT RUINED MY ENTIRE TRIP. LOST MY TRIP, ENDED UP PAYING 3 TIMES AS MUCH HAVING TO REBOOK last minute. Spent 1 hour on the phone with a complete idiot and he took all my info, pretended it was booked... scammers. Dont call them read all the horrible reviews, those are honest, the good ones MUST BE LIES.AND WRITTEN BY THEM!
WORST company i've had to deal with! Their « meet the price or beat it » is FALSE advertising! My my flight on their website it was 346 USD, on the airline's website it was 242 USD. They say to contact them within 24hrs to ask for a refund, which I did (with ALL documentation necessary for a refund) but they conveniently only answer you a week later saying « you should have contacted us within 24hrs of your booking, now it's too late », plus only refund if you « within the United States ». AVOID AT ALL PRICE using this company! You'll save time, money and headache!

Explore trip who allot of our friends and family had the misfortune of using so not give a rats $#*! who and how your stranded - most of our friends were left scrambling a flight home to LAX - 90% of them having to pay for a new flight - to compare to Just fly - who sorted a new booking straight away using star alliance partners. Explore trip operated through a call center in India do not care - they don't call you back or do they help
Your left on the line for hours. One of our friends even re booked a flight only to find out at the airport there was no flight as they hadn't bothered to run his card. This company is a scam. My friend was left in Bangkok for 20 hours to find a new flight.
I ended up booking a new flight through Eva air directly using Singapore airlines (I was told by explore this could not be done)
Please do use this company at your own risk / an absolute sham of a travel agent who do not care an and fleece you for money.
Left 24 hours flight away they respond by - we will get back to you or we cannot help you.

Purchased my ticket and got a confirmation of my itinerary. Didn't feel or look right, so i called them to check and the line was not clear and i was speaking to someone in another country and not in the U S A. She told me the transaction has not gone through and asked me to call my credit card co. To approve it. When i called my credit company, they said there was no attempt from this travel agent. So i called exploretrip again and asked them what was happening. Spoke with another person with a foreign accent. He told me he could complete the transaction in 30 mins but he had to check the availability of the flight again which was booked like 3 hours ago. Then he told me there was only 1 seat left and the price has gone up by $140 and i might not be able to get it elsewhere. I was in disbelieve and so i asked him to cancel it. Then he said he might still be able to get me the same price if i wait. I have no time for game like this and i just wanted to cancel it at that moment. Never book with them again.
I booked my flights to Australia for my son and I on Nov 16th stating EXPLICITLY that I needed a refundable ticket as I was in a custody settlement with my ex husband and there was a possibility I would need to cancel the ticket on Dec 6th. I was also given the possible cancellation charges for each ticket and I agreed and went ahead with the booking. Once again I confirmed if the ticket was refundable.
Unfortunately I had to cancel the trip due to disagreements with my son's father and so I call the helpline to cancel my ticket. What do they tell me? They say the ticket is NON REFUNDABLE! 24 hours on the phone with them trying to speak to someone including the agent who's name I remember and no one has gotten back to me with any response. Its a matter of $2983. 70 and I am ready to take this higher up. If anyone has any suggestions on how to get them to respond please let me know, I am a single mom with a 3 year old and I cannot afford to let go off this money, I need it! PLS HELP
IT IS A SCAM! I booked a ticket with EXPLORETRIP from Vancouver to Delhi- $414 USD. But they charged me $472 USD, when I called them IMMEDIATELY, they asked me to send an email to the billing department because they were clueless. I told them, "fine! Cancel my ticket then" They said we will give me back only 350!

The fourth time this fucccccccc~~~er told me he's gonna send me email but ive never got any email from them. You mother xxxx speak $#*!ing fast way after i said that im not good at english that much. They said IF YOU WANT TO CAN CANCEL A TICKETS, WE CAN GIVE A ONLY TICKET FEE NO TAX REFUND, AND OTHER FEE. WOW. Most agents are giving back a full refund to their customers but not this company. DO NOT BUY ANY FLIGHT TICKET HERE.
Book tickets with a free cancellation in 24 hours. I cancelled in less than an hour as the departure times were not the best. I called and even got an email confirming my refund, and two expect it in 15 business days. 15 business days later, nothing, called again and they blamed my bank and would issue a check and mail it to me, expect it in 18 business days. 18 business days later, "check was sent but returned due to my mailing address."
This company is not the SF Bay area as advertised on site. Every time you call, you can tell it is an Indian call center. They all have heavy Indian accents and even the emails are in broken English. The SF address is just a scam to make you think it is in the U.S., it is not! Worst travel site ever!

Booked round trip tickets from Nyc to Telaviv got my confirmation email within minutes all my questions were solved quickly by support team of exploretrip would definitely recommend this site to all.
Only negative would be if you are not careful you may accidently book for an 'alternative airport' or 'alternative day.' Besides that, the site and service are great.
Have used them in the past to find the most inexpensive tickets on the web, their customer service was patient and polite in helping me with my booking.
I had a family vacation scheduled to Thailand and just found out they cancelled the booking and never notified me! The tickets are now $3k a piece - three times what I could have gotten them for 6 months ago when I originally booked. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! I'm "talking" to customer support now and they have me on hold - forever.
Looking for a quick flight booking with exploretrip is as easy as 1-2-3. I didn't find it difficult to get a seat of my choice too. Definitely I will use exploretrip again in my next trip.
Cheap deals attracted me and got trapped
Happen to find super cheap flight ticket from ExploreTrip on Sky Scanner.
To book tickets, i gave credit card details to ExploreTrip.
They never booked the ticket rather they say, we will contact bank to confirm card and payment.
After waiting for 12 hours, they says, your bank is not responding and now the price has increased.
Do you want to go for higher price ticket?
I said, f*** you, I don't want any ticket, cancel my booking.
I also, called my bank to stop the card.

Treated like dirt, had to spend $250 to move a flight that originally cost $300 to a day in the weak that was cheaper online, spent 2 hours over 3 separate calls to get this changed
I used sky scanner to view flight prices. They listed explore trip at top. I purchased 2 tickets from explore trip. I received confirmation email from them. I then received another email stating the following:
Dear Customer,
Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused.
Your reservation been cancelled as the verification failed for the payment details provided. We regret any inconvenience caused to you. Please be advised that card listed will be refunded in 3-4 business days.
I contacted explore trip via email requesting explanation and that I required the tickets and what is it I need to do. Nothing received back. I contacted them again and the email I received back told me to contact them via phone to rebook. At this time it was easier to book directly to Australian airline.
Are they serious? 3 days later my credit card got charge $1200 for the the 2 tickets they had cancelled. By now I had already booked another 2 tickets for the same journey.
The next day I received from them a credit card refund for $1114.
So I outlay $1200 with all good and honest intentions of buying 2 tickets and in the end I receive only $1114 back.
How can it be this company can charge my credit card after telling me authorization failed. Plus I lost $84 in the process.
I have since emailed the company requesting an explanation however I'm not holding my breathe.
Moral of the story, always check out the reviews of any company.
