STAY AWAY - I booked a flight for a family member on Tuesday, got an email today telling us the airline had cancelled our booking because the price was not available, but we could rebook for a higher price. Thought it sounded a bit odd, so checked the flight prices on the website and they are the same price as they were in Tuesday! Please book somewhere else to avoid any hassle/scams
I had a really pleasant experience with exploretrip. This is all because of Pete, the most responsible customer service Manager I've ever seen. I was origially desperate for the service of exploretrip representive, since I was told my flight was non-refundable if I cancel the itinerary. Just last night, I found here, and knew Pete's information and spoke to him and asking for help. To my surprise, Pete helped me solve the whole problem within 4 hours! Because of him, I would still choose exploretrip for my next itinerary, and also recommend to my family and friends.
I have been having some problems with this agency too. I did my own research to put a complaint and I found there is a in thing in California, where the agency is based, called "seller of travel". California requires all sellers of travel to register with the Attorney General's Office and to display the registration number on all advertising. While not assuring that a company is reputable, a valid registration signals that the seller of travel has at least followed the law to be registered. https://oag.ca.gov/travel This agency is registered in this program.
There are some ways to put a complaint and it says some people may recover their money through the TCRF website under some circunstances. https://oag.ca.gov/travel/consumer.
Rigth now I am trying to put my complaint, although I have some problem with the website, but maybe you could put yours as well, If we do not recover our money at least this will work for the Attorney General to take some action.
I wish There was an option for negative stars. I booked a flight with them from Toronto to Ahmedabad (India) scheduled for April 2020. It got cancelled due to the the Pandemic by the Airlines. I got an email from them stating that I was elegible for 50% refund. I spoke to them explaining that It was not cancelled because of me and they were adamant that Airline has decided to only give 50% refund. I spoke to the airline and the representative mentioned that as it was cancelled by the airline, I am eligible for a full refund but it needs to be processed through the agent as it was booked by the agent. I confronted with the agent at exploretrip and she was like Airline representative is lieing lol and that the refund i am eligible for now is 35% of the total cost. So now I am left with some 380$ out of the 1100 I paid. Total Scam! Never trust these people with your money.
We booked through ExploreTrip after they popped up on GoogleFlights. They were cheaper so we decided to give them a shot. We had a problem with our booking and talked to one agent for almost an hour and he promised us that we would get back a partial refund of our ticket. Told us they would honor that at anytime. We called back to process after finalizing that the flight for sure would not work and were told by a different agent that there was no way they could do that. The manager was no help at all and even though I tried to explain that another agent told us differently they didn't care.

Exploretripthere customer service are all rude. They all liar fabricating answer. Everytime you call different answer. I want my refund because airline cancel the flight they want me to talk directly. But airline said talk to exploretrip about the refund because i bought tiket online. This stupid company they dont care dont trust exploretrip...
Booked my trip from SFO to BKK with exploretrip.com and satisfied with their service price which i booked is the price which was finally confirmed... thanks to exploretrip for making my trip so easy...
I decided to cancel my flight end of February 2015 since I wanted a different airport option that this service told me they couldn't accommodate. They immediately dinged my CC for another $250 fee for the cancel. I continued to email and call the customer service "team" for information about the flight refund... different answers each time. The last call I was told I would receive a refund of $825 on a flight that cost me $1,074.06. Today (5/5) I received a check for $699.06. With no explanation via email, phone call or on the check stub did I receive info on why the difference. I can only guess that Explore Trip charges a fee on top of the airline fee (which I was never told or given the amount). FURIOUS!
I booked a flight via exploretrip.com. Two days later this flight get cancelled because they weren´t able to verify my creditcard. I tried again for 15 USD more. Two days later the same story. Then I booked the same flight with another agency and everything was good! I lost at least 20 USD and a lot of time!
I have the same concern when i book explore trip from BOI to SF, but I glad I did it.
After reading all the reviews, I went ahead and book the flight for me and my wife, as its the cheapest flight in town. I was afriad at first its a scam as there wasn't any e-ticket number. But merely, less than an hours, the reply of comfirmation and e-ticket number was sent to my email. Everything work fine ;)
This is worse ever, dont book your flight here, they said my flight is not book because the bank not confirm my transaction and i called my bank and they said they didnt decline it. And the sad is they dont inform us my book is cancel. Horrible and worse customer service ever. Save your self from stress and headache. Dont book on this website
It was easy to book the flight, but as i booked it i picked an insurance package. The next day my ticket was confirmed but the insurance wasn't, i received a link to get an even more expensive insurance.
Never book from this company.
This company never returned my money when covid hits! I lost $2000 with them. They promised they will do so, but months after months they keep extending and extending. Stay away!
I have never been disappointed in this site and I have always been treated well, professionally, and courteously. And I have been aided many times over the years when I sought extra advice or assistance from exploretrip while booking long flights. A GREAT COMPANY! I wish I could give exploretrip.com more than five stars!
I booked a flight with them, airline cancelled, they did not notify of cancelation, called them and they sent me to airline, airline sent me back to them. Nightmare to get hold of them, ask for supervisor, refused to do that, ask for refund, refused to do that. Overall, very unprofessional, dishonest, never do business again.
I booked a flight and received a confirmation email that I would receive my eticket in four hours. When I called them the next day because I hadn't received my eticket, they told me they would not be fulfilling their end of the contract we'd entered in to. They did not make any effort to contact me to inform that they would not be fulfilling their duty. Now I have to try to find another flight so I don't miss my cousins wedding. Terrible customer service. Don't book anything through them.
Everyone is suffering at this time due to the covid 19, however, exploretrip still want to charge for a cancelled flight by china eastern airline. The airline stated to refund full, but exploretrip still want to get money from this canceled flight? I don't want to give any star to them and the customer service is so rude.
After booking and paying for two tickets with carry-ons and checked luggage, Exploretrip delivers two tickets with only checked (no carry on) AND an unpaid balance on the tickets of over $160, which we had to pay. Further, the birthdate on the ticket was wrong and my partner almost missed the flight when TSA identified the mistake and the ticket had to be rebooked. Nightmare and the company refuses to cover their unpaid balance on the ticket.
Even though 2019-nCoV (2019 Novel Coronavirus, Wuhan, China) and international news said can free cancellation but still hard to get a full refund. This agent charges too much money for a penalty and why in this situation still charge penalty?
On July 24th, I booked a flight (Porter) to Quebec City for Aug 21st. On August 15th, I called the airline to pay for a checked bag. The Porter Airline representative informed me that the booking agent (ExploreTrip) had previously cancelled my reservation.
ExploreTrip did not contact me about this change and on top of that, my refund for the tickets will not be in until after Aug 25th.
They claimed that the price they sold me the ticket at was unavailable. Now I am screwed.
Do not use ExploreTrip.
