This experience is all about building up your credit profile, which I've been working on for about three (3) years. Well on the 12th on February 2021, my FICO score finally made a Good rating at Experian, I was quite proud of my accomplishment. On the 19th of February I received an alert that my one credit card had decreased significantly to 0.0% and that my FICO score had decreased by 8 points, I could not understand how this could have happened; seeing that all my accounts were on time, credit usage below 5%, no collections and all credit cards with a zero (0) balance. I finally have a Good credit score with Experian and better scores with TransUnion and Equifax in the 700 range. How could I lose 8 points after gaining 5 points on 02/12/21 and gaining 32 points on 01/30/21, this has besides myself, after all my report is positive at this point, how in "Hell" could I lose 8 points when nothing has come in to Experian as negative or no recent inquiries! This is exactly why I "do not pay for an Experian membership", it's all about the money.
So, I've had Experian for over six years and although they're expensive and offer little in return I've kept them. So a few nights ago I received an email stating that I've downgraded my account back to it being free, which I never did, by the way. I spoke with a representative an advised her that in no way I terminated my premium account. So long story short, my account was reinstated and I had to pay for the upcoming month, even though I was 15 days away from getting my 30 day refresh. Fast forward to today and I decide to check my credit. It had me at a refresh at 90 days. So of course, I called and was told that the previous representative had placed my on the 90 day refresh. I stated that I had asked to have my membership placed back to where it was initially. The representative sounded Indian, as the previous one, so I had to repeat everything several times with her responding to me in a phony, workshop dialect, which I'm sure this is how they're taught on how to handle western customers. So my initial thoughts were correct. Experian themselves terminated my membership and when I had my initial membership reinstated I saw where they went up $3 a month. Don't get me wrong, I think they're expensive as is for what you get. I, can respect a company that will tell their customers at face value that they're increasing their prices instead of sending them emails saying that the customers did it only to sell them their previous membership at an increase. I thought seriously about just going with one of their competitors at the same price or a few dollars more to prove a point. This is NOT customer service.
Experian takes it upon themselves to charge my credit card after clicking free? Eff experian they are a racket.
Experian Boost actually hurt my score versus helping it. I wish I never signed up for this service. I Was Better Off Alone.
Why is EXPERIAN over 2 months behind in their reporting? Due to EXPERIANS LATE REPORTS they are costing Customers thousands of dollars in excessive interest. I believe this is their plan...
They give the lowest numbers and their customer service is the absolute worst. Since their data breach it's gotten worse
Do not answer the concerns raised.
Staff refuse to escalate issues to the senior management to cover up their inaccurate and unprofessional conduct
Trying to get a human being and experience trying to get through the stupid automated thing. It is terrible, you have to ask questions, but you can't
Where do I begin? I was looking to review my credit scores before I purchased a home. Honestly, I was trying to understand my numbers before sitting down with a lender. I looked at my bank account, and I noticed that I was charged an initial few for joining to review my three credit scores. However, I saw I was charged an additional 32 bucks each time I came back to check the accounts for clarity. I then contacted customer service, which took 30-40 minutes because the automated system refused to transfer me to an actual person. As a result of my persistence with the process, I got through. The first customer service representative said that she would take care of the situation, and while I was trying to get clarity on why this takes place, the rep hung up the phone on me. Really. I then start over with the automated server trying to get through to a live person. I finally contacted, and the second person told me that I could not get a refund for the charges. I then asked if I could speak to his supervisor, and he informed me that my supervisor was not available on the weekends. I then say so; you are telling me that you all are running a multimillion-dollar business with no one in a position of authority for me to speak with on the weekend. I then asked the customer service rep for his ID number, to which he replied I could not give you my number. Needless the say, I canceled the account, and I am out of nearly 100 bucks with no one to resolve my problem. This company should be ashamed of these business practices. Experian is deceiving customers, not to mention they are not willing to work with customers to solve problems.
I just spent 15 minutes filling out their forms to get ONE quote. What a complete waste of f**king time.
Can never get a human being. Even during normal business hours many calls no show, They should look at their own site for fraud
This company should be investigated for fraud. Highly bizarre and unprofessional.
No comparison to other credit bureaus.
Experian is another bully company that tries to dictate and define life by imaginary numbers. FALSE.
I can't reset my passowrd. I tried to enter my date of birth and SS but was still unable to reset. Whoever designed their website is a piece of $#*!
DO NOT USE THIS HORRIBLE SITE! ITS TERRIBLE AND IMPRACTICAL. It's impossible to get in and I've been getting the same error for years
This site has the worst customer service i have ever had. Stay away!
Answer: It's difficult. After I discovered the theft of my identity on the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving, I wasn't able to report it to Experian until Monday morning, 5 days later, because they only let you report it by phone, and their call center is closed nights, weekends, and holidays. Additionally, their phone system is awful to navigate.
Answer: There are but no experience with alternative companies
