Scammers, took time off to travel out of state to go to a concert and showed up to an empty place to people telling me the concert is non existent even though it still shows tickets online. They should be shut down $#*!ing joke
Easy to use, powerful features, mobile check ins and lots of integration with ore sites. If your holding an event, back yard barbecue or a concert in the park, eventbrite is the way to go! Highly recommended.
Advertising makes boat cruise event look amazing BUT Boats are dirty, toilets are filthy, stink like urine, no toilet paper, food served was awful and small portion. Mix of people from hodge podgy to weirdo's, we ended up over dressed, no dress code. Older folks mixed with kids@ 19 plus event serving liquor.
Was expecting better food, clean environment, everyone to have a seat to sit in. People putting out cigarettes in garbage cans, nowhere to put an empty drink glass. Boo was not a great couple date night after all. Paid $230, value not there.
Just wasn't what we expected.
Fire works were great, staff was kind.
These events could be great but it's like a slum bar on a boat.
I NEVER write reviews. But I wanted to express my delight with this company after I fell very sick and couldn't use my tickets to an event I had been looking forward to. I'd missed lots of work and was not doing well financially. I tried to let it go and focus on my recovery. Then, come Monday I unexpectedly received an instant refund as I'd requested. Although $40 may not seem like much to some people, it made my day and I am so grateful to whomever put that transaction through.
This site is good for invitations on free events, but does have limitations which would be expected since it's free.
However, if you are organizing an event and collecting registration payments, the charges are ridiculous, hard to track and pay-outs take too long.
I would not recommend this site on a professional level.
Site is helpful with event details and ticket purchases. Only negative is that I purchased 3 tickets and the event was cancelled. I reached out to eventbrite several times to get a refund or some type of credit and still have not had a response. Very dissapointing
I attended the Eventbrite comedy show at the Bay Club in Redondo Beach on October 2 2021.The venue is very nice, under the stars, down at the harbor. The host and first three comics were not funny. The fourth was rude and insulting. Finally, a Russian woman came out and carried the show. She was funny.
Garrick Bernard (FreeForm) 1 Star, that's generous
Tyler Warner (Laugh Factory) 3 stars, he tried
Kira Soltanovich (Amazon / Epix / Tonight Show) 5 Stars, carried the show
As I am reading all these comments, most make no sense as Event Brite has no control over the EVENT that is created by using the website as most of these should be directed at the coordinator of the event itself. EVENT BRITE is only a promotion tool for the actual event they are not the coordinator or the company that keeps the $. If you are buying tickets from this web site the money is transferred to the event coordinator, the event coordinator is the one that defines if the consumer pays the fees associated or if the fee will be a part of the cost of the ticket. The coordinator of the event also dictates if refund will be allowed. I would assume many things come into play when and if refunds will be allowed as many things are nonrefundable to the event coordinator and have to paid on the event side come rain or shine. I think most of these comments are because a customer of an event does not understand how or what Event Brite is or does and does not do. A little education goes along way, you have to be able to look at both sides when you choose to have an opinion. Most of these comments should be directed at the coordinator of the event or company in charge of the event not the web page that is the go between.
Dry disappointed. Paid 80$ for an Easter event today in Medina. It was only for kids but had to pay for adults too. They quickly ran out of eggs during the hunt. This left many kids including my own with empty Easter baskets. There was only a few things to do besides this. The prizes and gifts were all based on how many empty eggs you collected. My children didn't even have the opportunity to hunt because there was a line to get into the hunt. And once the eggs were out we were turned away to go back to the same three activities. Sand boxes. Easter bunny pics. Or drawing. My money was wasted and my toddlers hunting experience ruined.
Cancelled event, refunded all but two tickets. Last two tickets purchasers card has been cancelled, cannot issue refund. There's no way to speak with someone from Eventbrite, just chat. Chatted with someone who told me Eventbrite's policy with no fees for cancellations is not true, she did not understand nor comprehend anything I said. I want money deposited to account so I can refund customers money. At a total loss how to refund money or get money that Eventbrite is holding.
I have had enough of eventbrite events, I attended 3 and there were a disaster,! A Christmas costume contest were no one from the organizer shows up to the latest last Saturday, an egg hunt without eggs for the kids, in a park in coconut grove, hundreds of kids were disappointed and some of them even crying, they don't care about the legitimate of the events, so basically you don't know what you gonna find, It can be an scam or nothing, so be aware of the events that you attend while using eventbrite
As an event organizer, I have found Eventbrite to be extremely difficult to use, especially if you have any problems. It is nearly impossible to navigate their site to find a way to contact someone to get help with a problem. I was able to find a "chat" one time after clicking just about every button that I could for nearly a half hour, however, I have been unable to find that again. The one time that I was able to find the "chat", I had to sit in a queue for over 45 minutes before someone actually answered the chat, and that person was was absolutely useless. The "help" section is just a menu of canned questions and answers, but there is absolutely no direction on how to seek assistance from a representative of Eventbrite itself. This is the second year that I have used Eventbrite to sell tickets; they are so difficult to navigate that I will not be using them again in the future.
Purchased Love/Hate tickets from this outfit about 6 months ago. The gig was subsequently cancelled but after 2 months and 4 requests they have still not refunded my money. Terrible website, terrible customer care, awful people
I made multiple attempts to reach these people before our event last weekend through email, (3 times to be exact)- looked up their number in California and the voice mail said everytime that "we are in a meetin." Poor customer service. Would never recommend them. The event was suppose to cost $25 a ticket. I collected that amount from every person (all 30) and then went to pay on line and they charged me an extra "$184.00" extra for "fees"? Junk fees. Ripped off. Use someone else-
This has been a terrible experience. I now understand the numerous negative reviews online. Avoid using Eventbrite for your events. The support team is unhelpful, often closing the chat prematurely, and they are extremely rude to us as customers.
Bought $160 worth of 2 tickets. Cancelled less than a week later. Issued worthless credit with no future events. DO NOT purchase anything by Dan Hunter he will take your money and run- pun intended. Eventbrite is just as shady by not holding event holders accountable and leaving customers to deal on their own. Horrible buisness traits!
We run a small nonprofit that provides subsidized art classes to the community along with free outreach programs and monthly exhibits. We only charge $10/seat for most art classes where we provide the supplies and pay 50/50 to the teacher for their time. Eventbrite has gone from charging a semi reasonable amount to taking 25%. Greed.
I called everyday for 4 straight days, was put on hold for more than an hour. Very bad customer's service. Eventbrite should not offer a phone number to customers who needs help if they don't attend to the calls. Can anybody refer me to another company?
Purchased a ticket for a concert in Las Vegas, concert was postponed, have had no luck getting a refund or being able to contact anyone through Eventbrite or through the event organizer who initially responded and then stopped responding to my emails. Eventbrite's help section on its website is a waste of time as you don't get to correspond with anyone and it just has you running around in circles…not user-friendly at all. Beginning to feel like I've been scammed!
We purchased reserved seating tickets for a show in Denver at the Mission Ballroom. The tickets email had no details regarding seat assignments. I followed up with the venue directly and they indicated that the tickets provided were in fact fraudulent and would not provide admission, let alone assigned seating. Attempts to contact the "organizer" through Eventbrite went unanswered. Thankfully I was able to recover the $ spent by contacting my CC company.
Answer: The organizer is no longer available when you send it
