Had to wait because the system cancelled our reservation. Not able to apply special codes on the desk. And new reservation take 1 hour to appear in the system… after a 8 hours delayed flight, it is not what you expect from a company like Europcar. Thanks to Lamprini who tried hard to help us!
I had an extra payment for early return (06:00 Monday 23/05 morning) the car. Double of the regular cost. I consider it an unacceptable hidden charge that does injustice to the good reputation of your company
The car was fine, no problem.
BUT: the drop-off rate was outrageous, horrible, way too expensive. It's a steal!
37,50€ each way for a rent of 472 €, il's unbileavable!
I will NEVER rent with EuropCar when this policy is used.
On top of that, it was NOT mentioned when I made the reservation.

The agent at pick-up charged me for insurance that I didn't want or ask for, even after I told her I didn't need insurance. I asked what the price of the rental was higher than what expedia quote me and she said because I picked up the car an hour early and was being charged an extra day. I reluctantly paid. I looked at the rental agreement online (they provided no paper copies) and realized they did not charge for an extra day but added 30 Euros for insurance. I called and asked them to credit my credit card for the amount and they blamed Expedia. I explained that they charged me 30 Euros more than what expedia quoted and that there was a 30 euro charge on the bill for insurance I didn't want, need, or ask for. They told me to email them. I've not heard back from them.
Need to walk 150 meters outside the airport to reach them. Very slow rental process asking for all the details provided online again. Took about 25 minutes to get the car. Car was 1/3 full, and not very clean

We had an extraordinary experience at the rental counter inside the aiport. Never met such helpful, friendly and calm rental car company staff before! (a lady with brown shoulder long hair and tattoos) She's a keeper!

Arrived just before closing! Car was waiting in front of office. Staff was very polite and helpful. They gave proper information about the terms and conditions and did not "push" for any additional insurance. Good inspection (though already dark, but with a flashlight!). Very good COVID-protection protocol inside the car! All in all a very nice, clean and rather new car, rented out by a professional team!

The Europcar office is far from the airport. And we didn't know that a transfer would be waiting for us outside the terminal, so we started walking to see if we could see the office. Since we didn't see it, we called the contract phone number provided by booking and the company that answered was Volta, surrealist. In the end, we saw a europcar van pass by, we stopped it, and it took us to the office. We would have appreciated an email with this important information. Everything else correct.

Europcar Customer Service in Greece
At pickup in Chania airport, very friendly and helpful staff to go through documentation needed and car conditions. The only remarks I would make are that the company could have sent me an email warning that a) the prepaid debit card used to book the car would not be accepted for the deposit, and b) we would have been picked up by your shuttle at the airport arrivals. We arrived early and decided to walk to the location, so it was good it was correctly pinned on Google Maps despite being in the process of relocating to a permanent building. At drop-off in Heraklion airport, very smooth procedure to return the car and shuttle ride to departures.

Long waiting. Long check in process although previously reserved Online. Too many emails to sign and complicated process. I got a smaller car than booked. (Fiat Fiesta and got a Nissan Micra) The car is not in a good overall state inside and outside. Tank is half empty.

In Milos car choice was no more than ok. There was a problem with the car key (not easily connecting to the car computer for doors locking and engine start) that was not resolved in 15 days. In Paros, car was brand new. Car pick up from airport not really comfortable (van to go to the office) but then service was very good

I called the agency a lot at the airport. After asking, I saw that a company representative was waiting outside the plane with a board on which our names were written. They took us to the agency with a vehicle. This was negative for me. No problem with employees! Everyone there was very friendly and helpful. I just wanted to leave the car in the city center instead of the airport at the turnoff, they said it would not be possible! I will return by ferry, now I have to return to the port from the airport by my own means after they leave the car to the agency and then take me to the airport! So I won't rent a car in these conditions again!

Everything went well. There is only one small mistake concerning the deposit. On the booking papers it was mentioned that the deposit was 290 €, but on the spot they kept an amount of 390 € which does not correspond to the rental contract.
First of all, the staff is very friendly and helpful. But I'm really tired that you never get the actual car they market on the website. You always get another model. Book a Jeep, get a Toyota instead.
The people were great! All of them were friendly and helpful. However, it was tough to find Europcar at the airport because it is just a van in one of the car parks, the one without signs, and no counter along with the other car rental companies. Then, we were taken to another park outside the airport area to take pick up the car.

Pick up at the airport was late. After that paper work had to completed in a different location away from the airport. Would have been much easier to take the bus from the city center to their Office, as we were already in Heraklion city.

I booked via Check24 a car with full tank. I received 3/8 full. That is a cheap trick to get back more gasoline or charging the filling. Not acceptable.
Car was a fiat panda - 850€ for 2 weeks is very much in relation to the car's price and quality.
