If i could give this company no stars i would, i left 4 months ago, and i am still waiting for a refund of over £900, everytime i speak to them they just say they have re-issued the cheque. Absolute Cowboys

Massively scammers. My bills every month have huge differences with prices. I have no idea how they calculating. Now for one month i had to pay 320gbp. I forced myself to switch off completely gas boiler, apart from that it is bearly even used ive been charged for it 130gbp and i cooking like 3 times at week. Differences in prices are 100 or 200gbp and usage is almost simillar every month. I hope someone will take them down in future.

So EON have been charging my account for energy that has not been used by me. I've suspected this for a while but with the energy price increase, I decieded to investigate this further as I was being charged for way more gas than I know I was using.

I live on the top floor of my apartment building and have only used my central heating like 4 times this winter. When I called, it seemed the meter reading on my meter and the ones their engineers have been measuring did not match.

According to their engineers I was using more engery than my meter was showing. I even sent a picture of my meter reading as prove. They apologised and informed me that an engineer would be coming to check my meter.

The appointment day came and went, no one turned up. When I called the next day, I was told the person dealing with the issue would call me back. An hour later, I was sent an email stating that said person (MAISY HEIRCOCK) was on leave until Tuesday the following week and would call then instead.

How is it possible that in such a large company, said Maisy who so far has been awful, is the only person that can deal with this issue?

It's a clear case of EON avoiding the fact that they have been overcharging me for gas for years! Just 6.5 more weeks before I can report this issue to Ofcom. This issue is getting sorted one way or another.

Bad e on next

This firm swamped me too them with out asking then they sent me a crazy estimated bill I gave them my reading then it took 8days to get here I paid it on the 28/3/22 and I gave them my reading on 31/3/22 and they sent me a bill for that has well but added the bill on that I paid has well I complained why they sent me two bills for the same month they said it's because I sent my reading in the 31/3/22 bill should have been on my April bill they put me on pay monthly when I was on quality with out asking I have dumb metres cos they won't send me a update no not happy with e on next because it looks like they are money grabbing can't wait for the money if they have your reading they bill you

Spent over 30 minutes on phone as needed help with meter reading even though have smart reader. Lady assured me did not need readings as my bill was on actual readings but just received email stating need to give readings as smart meter not working. They are always giving out wrong information.

Useless

Eon are a blooming joke. Can never top up my gas and electric with out hassle. The app is useless and the web site works for a little while then dosent work. Wish i could leave them but way energy is at the moment would be so hard to choose. I pay buy pay as you go and on a smart metre. I didnt even want to go on smart metre but got told i had to by eon. If you can stay as far away from eon as you can. Wish i had stayed with my old supplies with key and card metres

Still waiting

Eon installed the new boiler incorrectly on 2nd February 2022. They were told it needed correcting the same day by their electrician.
After we'd chased them up several times via both phone and email they finally sent out someone to install it correctly on 10th March. The electrician was booked in for 11th March to wire it in. Unfortunately he was unable to wire it in as we'd been told it would be done and said he'd have to get different equipment and call back Monday to complete the job. In the meantime the boiler is jury-rigged to the electrical system to enable us to have heat and hot water but needs to be left on 24 hours a day.
We've chased them up several times since Monday but they haven't returned our calls or emails.

EON ARE THE WORST

They completely ruined my credit history due to a mistake on their part.
Refuse to fix the mess they created.
Say they will call back at a certain time then no one calls.
I have been going through this with them over and over again.
This is the second time they have over charged me admitted to it and then had the gaul to dock my credit history and not fix THEIR OWN BILL.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS AWEFUL COMPANY.

DO NOT USE EON

Absolutely terrible experience. If I could give no starts I would. I have been waiting 8 months to have a gas smart meter fitted at my house. I had to reschedule a couple of appointments. But i have been chasing for a new appointment since December 21. No appointments available was the answer I kept receiving, until I sent a new email today. To get the response from the same customer service agent I have been speaking to for the past 8 months that he has now chased it and has found out I cant get a smart meter put in my house. This is because I already have an electric smart meter in the house and because they weren't installed together I can't have the gas meter.
Absolutely appalling customer service. Very disappointed.

DO NOT USE EON - I DO NOT RECOMMEND - STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS

Swindlers

If it were possible, I would give zero stars. Spoke to several people who gave me different information each time whilst trying to close an account. Was informed the account was closed in December only to find out in February that it was not closed. At this point I owed so much money and they took absolutely zero responsibility for their mistakes. An absolute swindler of a company, I would recommend them to nobody.

Eon is the worst company

EON will be the worst decision in your life. If you want to go with the most complicated, unfair and awful company feel free. They charge you with an amount, then they change their mind, and then they say it's not enough. I paid £48 a month for a STUDIO flat and in the end they said I owed them over £1300. Which I have paid but they have affected my credit score. I don't think I can ever write down how truly bad they are. The customer service is awful. Unfortunately, I have to give them 1 star because that's the lowest I can, but if I could I would give them -******* stars. What a mess of a company. Oh forgot to mention I have not been with EON for 2 years but I'm still having issues with them. They will truly F*** your life up. If someone reads this please stay away from them. If I ever won the lottery the first thing I would do is close down EON.
I can't get a mortgage due to setting up a direct debit and the bank blocking the payments, once I found out ( 1 month later I got the bank to unblock the issues) but EON still affected my credit, for something I done nothing wrong.

Shocking

I'm absolutely appalled by eon my bill is normally £64 a month this month they have tried to take £1,936.00 from my bank I've checked my online account they want this much each month there is no way I'm using this much gas and electric kids at school in day I'm at work. Incompetent

We moved house and Eon were providing the gas and electricity. They would not have been my choice. The first interaction with customer services (when I finally got to chat with someone) the woman couldn't write English well, even to the point of saying something as a negative when it should have been a positive. I explained the situation and she just didn't understand. She then explained she had issues and couldn't help it. Bizarre. Another person took over.

Then after eventually moving to a new supplier I get a final bill that is estimated. How can that be possible?

I contact customer services on live chat and eventually get the bit to put me through to a human. I wait for 45 minutes. The operator then says "Hello, I am reading your comments so far." 2 minutes later they put a message saying that as I hadn't responded they were ending the chat and cut it off.

Later I get a text message asking how the service was giving a 0 to 10 rating. I give 0 and it replies saying that I am not in a survey.

Very poor communication

It is almost impossible to communicate with them. Oh yes they provide a "contact us" section, but when you click on it all you get is FAQs and a number of topics which in many cases simply do not correspond to the reason why you want to contact them. Yes there is a telephone number, but that only operates on weekdays and even then during ridiculously restricted hours which for working people aren't convenient.

Takes over an hour to get through, and then you are left on hold until you lose the will to live and hang up, therefore avoiding dealing with you. Had an engineer booked in for Monday to fit an isolator. The Friday before I get a call from Eon saying that was just a request (err, no mate, it was a confirmed booking, I even had a time slot)!,, and offered an alternative date of a month later. No apology, just an attitude that stunk. Have now been hanging on to the complaint department for 70 minutes. I wish I had never switched to Eon, it has been a nightmare…no wonder their complaints are so high.

This is the worst company we have to deal with ever! They do not deserve even 1 star. We moved into a house on 30 April. The previous owner was with them but we opted for Scottish Power. We supplied meter reading to SP so they can send to Eon and they sent bigger meter readings. They say SP should send the meter readings. They confirmed to us these were sent but Eon says they did not receive anything. We want to pay for what we consumed not more. Since then we have provided images proving the meter readings through email, chat, we tried to call so many times and the advisors closed the phone. Under no circumstance, we can`t solve the problem with them. They did not send a proper bill with those readings and what we consumed but they made sure we received 3 increased bills and the last one mentions the DEBT collection agency. I am fuming! We have to search for legal advice.
