The overall reputation of the company is significantly marred by customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to perceived deceptive practices regarding refunds and subscription management. Many users express frustration over the lack of suitable matches and the prevalence of fake profiles, leading to a sense of wasted time and money. Customers frequently highlight inadequate customer service, with limited access to support and automated responses exacerbating their concerns. While a few users mention positive experiences, the overwhelming sentiment suggests a need for improved transparency, better quality control of profiles, and a more responsive customer service approach.

If you use PayPal to pay for your membership, it will not let you review the order before you place it. It just places it when you click review order. This is something that PayPal allows and should not. It is an unauthorized transaction and I'm suing PayPal over there disregard for the law.
Just want to rob people looking for a bit of happiness, you go through a stupid amount of questions so they can end with a ridiculous price for you t o pay to carry on. Complete scam.
They were running a special to sign up for 30 days and if you didnt like cancel account which I did 2 days after I had signed on, they billed me $114.00 and I did not even use, they are a ripoff date site no matter what their hype says. Total scammers.
I had a match that showed in my town. Then when I paid it changed to <60 miles away. Mind you my setting are set to less than 30 miles away. This website just wants your money no matter what they have to do to get it. Don't fall for it.
I tried a 6 month account. I closed the "renewal" 2 x both with email confirmation. The corrupt company went and charged my credit card for a FULL YEAR AT FULL PRICE without my approval. Now it is with the Visa fraud department.
People please don't subscribe with eharmony, my account was canceled by them but they have been taking out monthly fees and now I can't even get back into my account to cancel subscription.
There are so many bad reviews from people that everyone needs to read before signing up.
Most profiles are fake on here and if you complain they will block your account but still keep deducting fees from your bank account and you won't be able to get back in to stop them scamming you.
You pay good money to join this site, and it's full of scammers taking advantage of lonely people, and then asking you for money. They won't let you cancel your membership, you have to pay the balance, regardless, even your unhappy with the service. Which i'm sure many people are from all the complaints. Once you block that user, surprise, surprise, that profile has been deleted, and then e-harmony tells you they screen their members. Understand there are scammers out there, but when you're 5 for 5 in 4 months, and you say " hmmm" and they should let you terminate the membership
They say you get unlimited matches and messaging in the basic plan but it's a lie. You get one message then it asks you to upgrade to premium for 250$ you can't try it out see if it's worth it because everything is blocked or restricted to get you to pay more. So sick of companies doing this scaling every last dollar. You get a match and send one message md that's it. Now you have to pay for 3 months in order to message them or you end up ghosting them cuz of the app
Joined on 4th if April. I was in contact with another profile. Upon messaging back and forth. He was then blocked by E-harmony stating a fake profile that he made references that were inappropriate. I honestly don't know what happened, and why he was blocked. I'm totally unhappy about this situation and want a refund from any further payments. They've locked me into their service and won't refund my money. I did, however, cancel the automatic renewal. I do not trust this site. My credit card from Merrick Bank was used and charged $40.39 this month and will be charged $40.39 per month until October 2023. Anyone looking to use their services, walk away.
I tried eHarmony a few months ago. After spending nearly an hour, taking their stupid tests and answering their dumb $#*! questions, they said I had 5 matches. However, the closest match was over 50 miles away.! The furthest was in another state.Really.!? What good is that.? They blur out photos of people who are interested in you, so you'll subscribe. They're alot more expensive than these other Scam sites. Ask yourself this, before getting a membership at this mess, "Wouldn't my money be better spent at something that's tangible, like groceries, gasoline or rent"...? Forget these thieves, you'll get nothing for your hard earn cash.!
My Ex suggested I try eHarmony. I did, and they said they couldn't match me (which my ex thought was hilarious). So I tried OKcupid... and ended up meeting my wife on it. I'm pretty sure eHarmony charges a lot of $. OKcupid is free, so there's nothing to lose trying it.
This site is pathetic. It has many you Asian women who scam clients by moving you to a telegram site and then try to scam you into making big investments in the stock exchanges
Terrible site, terrible matches and I live in a very populated city. After signing up for a free trial, i immediately tried to cancel and it was impossible. I canceled my credit card as I was understandably livid and they sent me to collections. I have near perfect credit. They are thieves and con artists.
Do not give them your information. They will find a way to steal from you.
More fake profiles than real. A complete waste of money. No better than tinder but at least everybody knows tinder is a joke. Try Hinge for free - much better than paying for a subscription on eharmony.
Here's how they got me.
1. Apparently, I signed up with them. I don't recall doing it, but they claim that I did.
2. Apparently, they get people in at a low rate and then, set you up to automatically ding your credit card in a year. 'Auto Renew'. You don't choose it. EHarmony does it (you don't know that they set you up to auto-renew).
3. A year rolls around and suddenly they hit your credit card for over $500. They have a no refunds policy.
4. They don't send you any follow-ups after you sign up. You don't get follow-ups for matches. You don't hear from them again until the next time they ding your credit card. (For example, GoDaddy tells me that they are about to charge my credit card several days before they do it. They don't want it to be a surprise even though it's only $12.95. EHarmony wants to grab your money and so they tell you nothing. They just grab your money. $500. It is at best unethical and immoral even if it's not against the law. You are prepaying thus they haven't earned a dime of your money. And there are no refunds with eHarmony.) They never even sent a receipt. It just showed up on my bank statement.
EHarmony is unethical, dishonest scammers. They were started by a 'Christian' who claims to be a theologian. He taught at Pepperdine.
If I can deter anyone from signing up with them and save you from being the prey of their scam then it's worth it. I never used their 'service' and I told them to cancel whatever 'profile' they had on me. They said they would not refund my money and that I was basically stuck. They force me to pay for a service I don't want, have never used, and will never use. Don't fall into their net. They will steal your money!
This site is a rip off.
Highly recommend staying AWAY from this site
Same people kept showing up for months, even after i has "deleted" them.
Their plans are unclear abwhat you are being charged, only to find out you are being charged $300+ for a year when you thought you was signing up for 1 month.
Customer service is the worst amd they do not care one bit about the customer.
This site is nothing but a SCAM and needs to be investigated!
Stay clear! There are WAY better places to meet someone
I created a profile and change my mind the next day. Per their lease agreement I have the right to cancel within 3 business days. I sent in an email requesting to cancel and they responded two days later stating they will not allow me to cancel and I will continue to be charged. Their site is buggy and there is not a lot of active users on it.
Do not give them your credit card information. They will never allow you to cancel and have no customer service. There is no email for customer service and no phone number.
I didn't agree with renewing membership so when they charged me, I contacted them to cancel it they refused and say i have to pay no matter what. I didn't use any of the services and they still put me on scam call and dept collector and threatened me with calls and mails.
Answer: EHarmony is over rated and it's a lot of mumbo jumbo... If you're going to pay for a site match.com is set up much better and for a free site plenty of fish is really a nice site... BillyPrewitt.com
Answer: No. They won't refund you.
Answer: On your profile where you get asked questions like whats your fav movie and so on. Replace any answers you have already left with offensive language which in turn will violate their terms and conditions and they will have no option than to close your account. As for getting a refund good luck.
Answer: I called my credit card company because I cancelled within the three day grace period. Eharmony tried to say I had waited too long and therefore would be no refund. My credit card company disputed the charges, my account was credited and I was just notified that the dispute has been approved. No more eharmony charges. Hoe things work out for you.
Answer: You can't opt out. You are locked for the whole duration of your subscription even if u dont use it anymore they will charge ur visa regardless untill ur contract expires. I have to spend 11 more months to a site I cant use coz Im a transgender woman and no man in there wants me.
Answer: Well I have but I No longer on those sites anymore because they are scammers of course and I was on match truly.com and I deactivate my account off there as well but however sometimes I register on that website match truly.com even though I'm No longer a member on that website anymore because I still see the same lady Anna I'd Number is 60780729 and she's still online right now just like any other ladies you see on that site so I go on there just to waste their time and use abusive behavior against them to teach them a lesson and I don't pay money for that so that's why if you Noticed just pay close attention to the lady Anna on match truly.com and you will see her on wishdates.com and many other dating sites so I'm just tracking these websites down and you can see the ladies are Not real and can you tell me what Normal person would stay online 24 hours a day and seven days a week that's Not a Normal person that's a Networker and they like to make all kinds of excuses for themselves so don't listen to Nonsense about what they say because if you keep talking to these fake ladies they will Robb you out of your money so pretty much wasting your time because you are Not getting anywhere but a dead end and believe me I know what I'm talking about because I was on that website for two years and believe me they are phony and so is the customer support they are fake and they think they are very intelligent human beings and they think they can manipulate people so just watch yourself and be careful because I'm still seeing the same ladies on that website today from two years ago they are Not real and they are Not looking for anyone
