The overall reputation of the company is significantly marred by customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to perceived deceptive practices regarding refunds and subscription management. Many users express frustration over the lack of suitable matches and the prevalence of fake profiles, leading to a sense of wasted time and money. Customers frequently highlight inadequate customer service, with limited access to support and automated responses exacerbating their concerns. While a few users mention positive experiences, the overwhelming sentiment suggests a need for improved transparency, better quality control of profiles, and a more responsive customer service approach.

Started on E-Harmony because know of two friends who years ago had a positivie experience. However after 6 weeks not a single response except from an 'officer' who I requested he respond if he got the e-mail. Two weeks later he said his suscription had expired so he wasn't sure how he was on my page. Stay Away! Match.com has been much more successfull just beware of the scammers!
If you pay, they match you up with i thin five people a day or something but they never delete old profiles so a lot of your matches dont even use the site anymore and this is for the paid customers, even worse for non paid
EHarmony matched me with a fake profile and scammer. Beware of Michael Bauer originally from Cincinnati relocated to Ft. Smith, AR. Widower and engineer working on military contract overseas (Turkey). Will groom you for as long as it takes. Will play your heartstrings then go for your wallet.
Their site is full of fake profiles. They will spam you with dozens of emails a day. Make sure you turn off your auto-renew feature. They will not give you any warning that your account is about to be auto renewed. And once it does they will not refund your money. I called the very same day the charge went through and they refused to do anything about it.
This app/site is terrible. NEVER spend money for it! They lock you in and won't refund ever. It has made me broke and I regret even looking at the website. I had no luck the first week, had two matches and decided against having it. I asked them for help to either refund me or at least stop further payments. They made it impossible and would not help me. They simply told me to change/alter my beliefs to get more matches! Are you kidding? I am not comfortable dating someone from over 200+ km away or dating a 45 year old (20 years older than me). Some things I am just not willing to change. Very unhelpful and it has made me broke in the meantime. I regret full heartedly getting the app/account in the first place. I just want my money back...
I've been on this site three times in the last 5 years and never, ever had any luck, not even a decent number or decent array of men. I know it's not me because I went on black people meet and ok cupid during the very same time and have gotten over 200 messages from BPM and average 242 messages per week on OK Cupid (which seems to have a really good mix of different races). I looked into the racial makeup of eharmony and found that over 80% are white, so if you're white, then you'll have a much better chance because this site is not geared for any other races. Maybe the white men are more interested in white women (I wouldn't be surprised AT ALL if this was the case and probably neither are you... we all know how they can be). Go to OK Cupid... the guys are just as successful and a lot nicer and less stuck up (better looking, too). EHarmony kind of appears to attract a lot of old guys (40+). I'm more interested in younger, successful guys anyway, but it was really surprising that 4 years later, the same thing is still happening. When I called to canceled they kept me on the phone in customer care for like 30 minutes trying to negotiate a lower rate, so just know you don't have to pay those extraordinary prices either. AND out of all the sites I've been on, eHarmony is ridiculously high and definitely not worth signing up for--even for free because they'll just harass the crap out of you until you either sign up or delete your account. Anyway, why would you even want to sign up for free, you can't see people on there, only the few matches they send you and it took a week for me to get any at all--and that' s after spending all of that time filling out all of the information. Don't waste your time, there are many others that's a lot cheaper and have better options, and at the very least, if you want to do it free you still get a chance to see the choices you have to at least see if you want to sign up. You don't get that on eHarmony--only a few matches they send you, if any at all.
They closed my account for no reason, and can't be reached for comment. Refused to refund any funds. Very shady company do not deal with them.
After seeing all the ads on TV it was eHarmony that 'sold' me on internet dating. Ironically when I went to give it a try I heard about wejustfit.com and ended up joining that instead (great option if youre new to online dating, met some lovely people). Its been suggested that having two or three memberships/ subscriptions at one time on different sites can really help keep you busy with dates each weekend so I finally joined eHarmony. It's a nice site inside, like the look of it and like the app. It's too early to say if it will be the best site ive used but im looking forward to (hopefully) things super busy the next few weeks with two sites on the go at once!
I signed up for two years and within 30 days requested immediate cancellation and refund. I was told they'll "cancel" my subscription at the end of the two years and there is no refund. Since then, I have sent them numerous emails on problems with site (200 matches disappearing, etc) and they have not responded to one single email that I've sent them. Wow. Bad form eHarmony. Bad karma.
I purchased a yearly membership in December 2016 and I am not
Happy with the service I received. I am requested a refund
Is because I was not receiving responses back from my matches. I have
Written to many matches and I don't hear back. It was brought to my attention
That the reason I am not hearing back is because these people I am being
Matched with don't actually have paid membership with eHarmoney and thus
Can't see my email. To be frank that's very deceiving business practice to
Someone like myself who's paid for membership but yet, I am being matched
With people that are not paid members. And secondly, the people I am being
Matched with are not compatible with me. I put on my profile that I am a
Very physically active person and it is very important to me that my
Matches are also very physically active yet, the people I am being matched
With don't share my same sentiments regarding physical activity. I
Understand that you match people based on their "compatibility" and I have
Found that most of my matches are not compatible to myself.
I called and wrote to eHarmony requesting a refund for the 9 months of the yearly membership I did not utilize. They denied my refund stating that they don't grant refunds under any circumstances, 3 days the membership fee was paid. I promised a service I did not receive and thus requested a refund. I am very disappointed with eHarmony's business practices.

As a woman you will find out pretty soon that online dating sucks. Usually guys are not polite and aggressive. I won' even mention what kind of nasty pictures I received using several online dating sites during the last couple years. Once you find a normal or even good dating site such as eHarmony and Mingle2day you should stick with it!
I see why many guys are still complaining about those sites but it does not get any better.
Stick with the other dating apps, eharmony is terrible. No ability to search, the matches they give you don't make any sense, if youre not willing to travel great distances you will get very few matches (and I live in Phoenix!)
I have been a member of this site for two years. The questionnaire is extensive which make you believe they are taking your preferences into consideration. However most of the matches offer are not within your preferences. Even change the range may not enhance the range of matches. You will not be permitted to give early notice of your intent to discontinue the services. If you miss the date you will remain in the "loop" since they have your credit card. Information. Your request to have no further matches sent to you per their email format will be disregarded. Attempts to Email your requests are not easily view able on the site. Their is no easy way to contact them. Don't get caught in the cycle!
So ive been using eHarmony for a little over four months now and generally I like it. It's probably sitting 2nd on my all time list mainly because the number of members is so big. FYI in case your interested:
1. WeJustFit.com
2. EHarmony
3. Tinder (screw the haters folks, it's free)

I used eHarmony 10 years ago and it was great! So I signed up for a year. The entire time I had 2 dates and one of them was 11 years older. I'm in St. Louis and live central. 95% of the guys were 20 or 30 miles away and 99% I was either not attracted to or had little in common. After 3 months I asked for a partial refund, they declined. They wouldn't even freeze when my dad died.
I do NOT recommend eHarmony at all. The matches I communicated with I was not compatible with (even though the compatibility rating was high). I was consistently given matches outside of the parameters I set. You cannot close your account or delete your profile until the very end of your subscription which means... guess what... all those "matches" could be people who have met someone and moved on and are unable to delete account and/or profile. In order to take someone off your match list completely you have to hide them then BLOCK them. Way way way over priced (which I thought would ensure better matches, right?!) and they will not, under any circumstances, give you a refund or cancel your subscription early (I tried). Everytime you update your profile it goes into an update feed which is annoying...
For the price you pay you'd think you'd have a little more control over these things and the matching system would really be more sophisticated.
A friend of mine recommended me to join eH so i gave it a go.
When i signed up i needed to answer a whole bunch of questions. The whole sign up process took like 30 minutes, LOL. Other good dating sites like Mingle2day and Match have a completely different approach but all the questions make sense when you decide to use eH.
I have met a few interesting people and you can tell that eH tries hard to to find the right singles for you. It is very worth trying and with the completely different approach a nice alternative to some other dating sites.
I signed up and did not like it. Called and wanted to cancel. They said NO. I said I did not like your site and don't want to be stuck paying for a crap site. They are still taking my money and said your account is good until December 2017 What a flipping joke. Not friendly, do not join. Go to okcupid.com way better and very friendly staff and just a great site.
Waste of time!
I paid to join only to match with the people I match with in the free Dating sites. It gave me 7 matches... I live in a major city. WTF
Answer: EHarmony is over rated and it's a lot of mumbo jumbo... If you're going to pay for a site match.com is set up much better and for a free site plenty of fish is really a nice site... BillyPrewitt.com
Answer: No. They won't refund you.
Answer: On your profile where you get asked questions like whats your fav movie and so on. Replace any answers you have already left with offensive language which in turn will violate their terms and conditions and they will have no option than to close your account. As for getting a refund good luck.
Answer: I called my credit card company because I cancelled within the three day grace period. Eharmony tried to say I had waited too long and therefore would be no refund. My credit card company disputed the charges, my account was credited and I was just notified that the dispute has been approved. No more eharmony charges. Hoe things work out for you.
Answer: You can't opt out. You are locked for the whole duration of your subscription even if u dont use it anymore they will charge ur visa regardless untill ur contract expires. I have to spend 11 more months to a site I cant use coz Im a transgender woman and no man in there wants me.
Answer: Well I have but I No longer on those sites anymore because they are scammers of course and I was on match truly.com and I deactivate my account off there as well but however sometimes I register on that website match truly.com even though I'm No longer a member on that website anymore because I still see the same lady Anna I'd Number is 60780729 and she's still online right now just like any other ladies you see on that site so I go on there just to waste their time and use abusive behavior against them to teach them a lesson and I don't pay money for that so that's why if you Noticed just pay close attention to the lady Anna on match truly.com and you will see her on wishdates.com and many other dating sites so I'm just tracking these websites down and you can see the ladies are Not real and can you tell me what Normal person would stay online 24 hours a day and seven days a week that's Not a Normal person that's a Networker and they like to make all kinds of excuses for themselves so don't listen to Nonsense about what they say because if you keep talking to these fake ladies they will Robb you out of your money so pretty much wasting your time because you are Not getting anywhere but a dead end and believe me I know what I'm talking about because I was on that website for two years and believe me they are phony and so is the customer support they are fake and they think they are very intelligent human beings and they think they can manipulate people so just watch yourself and be careful because I'm still seeing the same ladies on that website today from two years ago they are Not real and they are Not looking for anyone
