The overall reputation of the company is significantly marred by customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to perceived deceptive practices regarding refunds and subscription management. Many users express frustration over the lack of suitable matches and the prevalence of fake profiles, leading to a sense of wasted time and money. Customers frequently highlight inadequate customer service, with limited access to support and automated responses exacerbating their concerns. While a few users mention positive experiences, the overwhelming sentiment suggests a need for improved transparency, better quality control of profiles, and a more responsive customer service approach.

Expensive b. S they charged me $200 for 12 months after saying I will pay for a single month.
Also had to email to cancel the auto subscription... also clicked the single payment!
Use facebook for singles it's free
I learned that you have a 3 day grace period
In case you don't like the subscription, which gave me comfort to subscribe since I knew I could change my mind, which I did and After one day on realizing it's not for me I requested a refund. Refused. Customer service was so terrible they don't even try to make the customer happy or work with them. You can't browse, you only see what they match you with. I'm very unhappy.
As other reviews pointed out, the matches they send you are located in distant places and do not match your preferences. The psychological matching sounds good in theory but fails terribly in implementation. The Web site is awkward to navigate and the customer service is difficult to reach and unresponsive. Save your money and go to Match!
No $#*!in hone number any longer so you have to reach out on line to customer service, then my had to redo my account because to tech issues
My account was closed for "inappropriate" posts on my profile without giving me an opportunity to edit my profile to their satisfaction. THEY EVEN REFUSE TO DISCLOSE SPECIFICALLY WHAT THEY FIND OFFENSIVE!
I've used eharmony over the years spanning from 2009 to currently. Off and on of course. I used to love the in depth matching, and communication process. Step 1 send 5 questions, step 2 review must have and can't stand list. Step 3 was detailed questions, than open communication. I recently joined again in November 2019. It was now 5 questions, and open communication.
Than they rolled out the new update. No matching at all. Just an open search. Communication is a smile, or pick your favorite picture game between matches (not sure how that's helpful in finding a potential partner) or just email.
So the new Nov 2019 update is its basically an expensive version of match.com. Save your money! It's garbage.
There are more fake profiles on this site than real ones. You will expose yourself to identity theft and credit card fraud. There is no method for inquiring about the authenticity of a match - if you ask, theyll send you a preformatted reply, saying here's how to block the person, even tho you may not be asking to block. They are more interested in protecting safety of the fake profile than the online safety of the paying customer. Eery time I had a suspicion about a profile I ended up with ubauthorized purchases on my credit card. I am a professional in the financial services biz, so I know what I'm doing. Whatever you do, do not fall for Eharmony's failed website. It's a total scam.
I joined eharmony on the advise of a friend. I chose the cheapest shortest package. My account was switched to 1 year acct for 300$$. I found this out a week later tried to cancel. They said I could cancel but I'd have to pay the full amount for 1 year. I denied choosing the 1 yr acct., I am cheap and broke i would never have chosen it... they basically threatened law suit if I didn't pay... DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
I spent year with eharmony and found more fake profiles than real ones. When I asked to cancel my subscription I was told since it was auto renew and just renewed six days ago I was not able to get refund of the $229.62. They care more about getting that money than anything else... found no one I cared to date on this site. I found many people to go out with on Match.com including my current relationship.
Too expensive for what they deliver. You don't have much search option: age, country (no mileage option), photos and compatible. It seems all are shown as compatible to me since I did not even tick the box and so their questionnaire is useless. You cannot save your searches and when you check a profile you lose all your filters and have to start again. I found much better website. I receive several times a week an email with 4,5 or 7 new matches and when I click on view I see a whole list with no idea what is new. Very disappointing.
Joining this service was the worst mistake I've made in a long time. The advertising is extremely misleading. The minimum that they allow you to sign up for is 3 months, but it turns out that some how now I have to make 3 payments of $104.00 over the next three months for a 6 month membership. This is ridiculous! The matches I received were terrible, and I have asked several times to cancel my membership, but each time they said that I entered a contract and they would not cancel. What kind of a company does this! Worst decision ever, DO NOT sign up for this service! I even changed my credit card number, and they were still able to charge my new card number. Terrible- and WAY too much money!
I thought the idea of compatibility was a good one, so I went to eharmony hoping it would offer a better online dating experience (this is my first try with online dating, but I had heard horror stories from people on Match). I learned very quickly that eHarmony is a scam and an expensive one. After about 4 months, it is very clear that eharmony does not remove people from its database who are no longer active, and that their pool of eligible people is extremely small AND while compatibility in values/character is important, so is chemistry. So when you receive only a handful of matches, the chances of finding someone attractive to you are very small. However, I did my part and reached out to a number of men (over the past few months, maybe 30) and did not receive a reply from one. I did receive 2 or maybe 3 messages... to which I responded, but they went no where. I did contact their customer service who basically told me to widen my search to a larger ethnic group. If I could give eharmony a negative star rating I would. If you're looking for a dating site, go elsewhere!
I joined eharmony in June and spent well over $200. I am a fit, attractive and successful 50 year old woman but the entire time I was a member I was matched with abpprox 20 people - none of matched my preferences. I sent eharmony an email and they replied with a canned answer. I joined Facebook dating site and recieve approx 30 matches a day- many of which are better suited. And it's free! Do not waste your money
They are very quick to take your money but will not provide a refund even when they do this in error! Shocking company. The majority of profiles are fake, well in Australia anyway... don't use it! Go somewhere else more activity, more responsible companies.
I wish I could give a negative number. I started to setup my account, next thing I know I get a system generated email saying they closed my account for no reason. When I asked for an explanation a system generated email responded saying that I was misrepresenting or misbehaving. Now mind you, I was in the middle of setting up my account.
Second time I reached out, again a system generated email saying that they would not investigate further. Now, if someone is using my account and being disrespectful, you would think they would take this seriously.
Do not sign up, you may end up as being tagged of misrepresenting yourself. Stay away from this site.
Why in the world would I pay for a site that doesn't show you who you're matched with? I have a lot of smiles, but these photos have been blurred out, and I'm 100% sure the blurred photos are NOT THESE PEOPLE. This is SO misleading and fraudulent! If you want to have more subscribers, SHOW us the matches and stop creating ones or posting fake profiles and fake pictures!
THIS IS AWFUL and very FRUSTRATING for a so-called top notch dating site. Never will I pay for this with all the trickery. Unblur the matches, make sure they are not outdated or fake, then lower your fees, and then maybe we can get on board.
The Automatic Renewal feature will not turn off even though you close your account. Therefore, you should cancel your credit card account right after closing. If not, they will continue charge you until you finish your purchasing term. It is unethical, but it it they way they make money.
More scammers than any other site I've seen! When I joined, for the first month, I kept getting matched by scams and then would get numerous emails the next day from the site warning me about the same people they matched me with! I did not go on one single date for the 6 months I was a member! Half of the people they match you up with are not even active in the site any more! Total disappointment. And don't believe their money back guarantee. I emailed them 3 weeks in to it and all I got was sorry you won't be renewing after 6 months! You think?!
Eharmony s is a totally toxic company/app. For your own sake, don't even think of use their product. If I can give zero or negative scores, I will definitely do it.
I purchased the eharmony app on App store on 7/6/2019 and paid in full for a whole year. But after I used it for only about one month, eharmony closed my account without sending me a reason, and they couldn't reactivate it for me after I have been emailing them many many times continuously for 5 weeks. I have been painfully contacting them to solve me issue. They don't offer this type of customer service by phone calls. They asked me to reply their email but that email either has no feedback or kept asking for your info w/o right solution. Every email I sent to them, I have to wait for at least 3-5 business days for the response. Then one week later, since there's no response/resolution, I had to send another email again. This kept happening for 5 weeks.
I had once be very upset and a bit emotional about the way they've been playing with me during my phone call with their customer service lady. This is what the lady told me: Ma'm, if you cannot act professionally, I will hang up your call.
When I was finally frustrated to have the fix my account, I ask them for refund, well, they said that since you have purchased on App Store, you need to ask iTunes for refund. While, iTunes says your subscription doesn't qualify for a refund. This is robbing money!
I have been a member of eharmony better known by me as the biggest SCAM! For less then 3 months. I have had no matches when i went cancel my three month subscription i was told No your locked in for a year. I was shocked i then pleaded to get out of the contract since no hits. I was told to change my answers on the Question portion. So lie to get dates great site to belong to.
Answer: EHarmony is over rated and it's a lot of mumbo jumbo... If you're going to pay for a site match.com is set up much better and for a free site plenty of fish is really a nice site... BillyPrewitt.com
Answer: No. They won't refund you.
Answer: On your profile where you get asked questions like whats your fav movie and so on. Replace any answers you have already left with offensive language which in turn will violate their terms and conditions and they will have no option than to close your account. As for getting a refund good luck.
Answer: I called my credit card company because I cancelled within the three day grace period. Eharmony tried to say I had waited too long and therefore would be no refund. My credit card company disputed the charges, my account was credited and I was just notified that the dispute has been approved. No more eharmony charges. Hoe things work out for you.
Answer: You can't opt out. You are locked for the whole duration of your subscription even if u dont use it anymore they will charge ur visa regardless untill ur contract expires. I have to spend 11 more months to a site I cant use coz Im a transgender woman and no man in there wants me.
Answer: Well I have but I No longer on those sites anymore because they are scammers of course and I was on match truly.com and I deactivate my account off there as well but however sometimes I register on that website match truly.com even though I'm No longer a member on that website anymore because I still see the same lady Anna I'd Number is 60780729 and she's still online right now just like any other ladies you see on that site so I go on there just to waste their time and use abusive behavior against them to teach them a lesson and I don't pay money for that so that's why if you Noticed just pay close attention to the lady Anna on match truly.com and you will see her on wishdates.com and many other dating sites so I'm just tracking these websites down and you can see the ladies are Not real and can you tell me what Normal person would stay online 24 hours a day and seven days a week that's Not a Normal person that's a Networker and they like to make all kinds of excuses for themselves so don't listen to Nonsense about what they say because if you keep talking to these fake ladies they will Robb you out of your money so pretty much wasting your time because you are Not getting anywhere but a dead end and believe me I know what I'm talking about because I was on that website for two years and believe me they are phony and so is the customer support they are fake and they think they are very intelligent human beings and they think they can manipulate people so just watch yourself and be careful because I'm still seeing the same ladies on that website today from two years ago they are Not real and they are Not looking for anyone
