The overall reputation of the company is significantly marred by customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to perceived deceptive practices regarding refunds and subscription management. Many users express frustration over the lack of suitable matches and the prevalence of fake profiles, leading to a sense of wasted time and money. Customers frequently highlight inadequate customer service, with limited access to support and automated responses exacerbating their concerns. While a few users mention positive experiences, the overwhelming sentiment suggests a need for improved transparency, better quality control of profiles, and a more responsive customer service approach.

After about a year with the harmony I decided we need to put a review out there. Don't do this one save your money in fact if you give them access to your money they will take as much as they can. They're not worried about matching you up most of the people there are liars anyway they just want to get you on an automatic pay so they can Run up your credit card and try to send you to collections when you try to cancel. Don't do it there's nothing Christian about this company
So I fell for the idea of online dating and checked out eharmony for free, with my search results I had 150 matches in my area, I found about 30 profiles that I would like to meet and so I purchased a year scrip. Soon as I did half the people I favorited disappeared and out of the 150 matches I had prior to paying went down to 55. So I checked my settings thinking it was a fluke and everything was the same.
I contacted Eharmony about it wondering what was going on and the only response I got was automated "we can't do anything" so I asked for a refund because I felt ripped off at this point, false advertising. They of course wont refund but luckily my credit card company feels differently, DO NOT USE THEM!.
Was just charged a 310 dollar bill randomly this morning after canceling my subscription last YEAR. I've always heard they were sneaky with these robberies, but now I know first hand. AVOID Eharmony at all costs, you will need a Harvard to degree to get out of it! If an employee of yours is reading this, I'm the guy who's refund you just cancelled when I costs nothing to give it back.
EHarmony charges a subscription that I did not ask for or authorize. DO NOT USE EHARMONY! It's a complete scam.
This company is a real rip off the same picture are showing over and over. Once they have your money what can you do. So don't do it..
I am recently divorced and decided to try eharmony. One of the first matches I was given talked about how he liked to have lots of vigorous sex. That was awesome! This was of putting to me, but I understand that is something they can't control. I contacted customer service and asked to be released from my contract. I was told how to redo my profile, rest my location perameters, and all sorts of changes I could make to see better matches. I was so irritated i just didn't use the app for 1 or 2 months. Then I thought let me try one more time. I did. To date I haven't even had a decent conversation with ANYONE! I contacted customer service again and got the same run around! I was patronized basically yet again. There is NO phone number to talk to a human and they HIDE behind the website. My next move is the BBB and contacting my CC company. To me this is THEFT. All I want is to be released from having to pay for soemthing I AM NOT USING!
I signed up for eHarmony, and found out that it was a misrepresentation. I canceled pursuant to the terms of agreement, which you better read in detail. In spite of this, eHarmony has ruined my credit and is now taking me to court to sue me. Buyer beware!
Eharmony is the most expense and least valuable dating site out there. It is god awful. Don't wast your money. Tons of profiles without photos, tons of one-bad-photo profiles, unflattering, homely humans. Lol. It's The Onion of dating sites. A farce
Despite their claims I barely had any matches and stopped using it and cancelled subscription just to find out they auto-renewed it anyway. Same day I sent email asking to cancel for it was a mistake, but they refused and charged my card anyway. I would say they don't care about your experience and success, but only care to charge your card. I had better success with OkCupid and Match and actually found my person on Match. Stay away from eHarmony for they will keep charging you enormous amounts of money each year.
New to the eharmony site. Most of my matches are men that: I am not attracted to., Do not respond., Have no photo's., Visits my profile and leaves no message. Additionally, eharmony locks you into a contract that you cannot negotiate, modify or change in anyway. What happens if you find a love interest on the site you are still trapped in an unrealistic contract. I have attempted to appeal to eharmony and to no avail I am redirected to a one-year contract that I cannot change. This site is very disappointing, and I would never recommend it to anyone because of my experiences mentioned. Above.
My experience with eHarmony leaves a terrible taste. They automatically renewed my subscription and then notified me 2 days afterwards when it was too late for me to cancel. They also charged me double the rate to over $350.00. I filed a complain with the Better Business Bureau and Consumer Affairs and said that eHarmony wanted access to my account and messages. At some point, eHarmony told me they would give me a discount at the rate of $179.40. I refused to pay as I didn't want the service. I have received threatening emails where they wrote, "We may also consider taking further action to obtain the outstanding balance from you, including transferring the claim to a debt collection agency, where reasonable.
Nearly impossible to terminate a subscription. I tried for 2 hours online following eharmony instructions. All the instructions lead to a dead end. There is no customer service phone. They will automatically renew your subscription at a Higher Price if you do not cancel before current contract expires. This is their incentive to make it impossible to close your account. Beware!
What a disappoinment! I have tried several other dating sites (Match, Our Time, Plenty of Fish) but was reluctant to try eHarmony because of the price. After receiving an email with a discounted price, I decided to try it thinking it must offer some really great features, and be something fantastic since it cost so much. But in this case, you DO NOT get what you pay for! What a ripoff! My biggest complaint is that it won't let me filter out certain criteria that is VERY important to me, such as marital status! I choose not to date anyone who is "separated", but I cannot select to not be matched with this status. It does not let me filter out people that don't match with my education level. Some dating sites (even free ones) let you see a person's vaccination status, but NOT eharmony! I am also not allowed to exclude people from my search that don't have any profile pictures. But eharmony does let you search based on superficial criteria such as height. What a joke. Also, even after filling out the incredibly long questionnaire, I am asked to continue answering even more questions every time I sign on.
The only positive thing I can say is that, so far, I haven't received any messages from scammers. DON'T waste your money on eharmony. I wish I could give it less than one star. I used to think that the free version of POF was the "bottom of the barrel", but it's actually better than eharmony.
This is the worst dating site in history you pay so much money and you do not get to meet anyone that you want to meet they set your page for the way they want us to meet people we can't change anything when it comes to meeting a man they're in control of every step of our daily life this is a rip off company do not ever pay 200 bucks to go on this date side the worst ever
Eharmony has shady practices where they will send collections agents after you for 'renewed' subscriptions that they have automatically renewed if the payment card has been disabled, and you have not used it (and are not able to use because they have locked your account). No other services does this. And it is not clear that this is what will happen when you sign up. The terms and conditions say that it will automatically charge your card for a renewed subscription if you don't cancel before and if the card is no longer functioning they will disable your account. This leads people to believe that they don't need to cancel it if their card has already expired or they have stopped payment from their side. But Eharmony isn't satisfied with that they then try to claim you owe them money for a service you haven't even received and they will submit it to a collections agent. Also since their company is so $#*!, the emails they send will probably go to your spam folder so you won't even see them.
Eharmony has a bunch of creepy old overweight men on it too. It's a worthless service
Absolutely no matches and the ones they sent were not "real" or were in another state.
I quit using the site and then they "blocked" me so I could not cancel the auto-renew. Then they turned me into a collection agency. I still cannot find a real person to talk to in order to cancel. I will be sharing this with facebook and hopefully other people will stay away from their site.

I had a 12- month membership on this site and only communicated with 2 people. Choices are really limited. They trick you into buying a membership. After my membership expired I started getting tons of messages and likes. I decided to renew my membership for another 12 months and all of a sudden it's dead again... I suspect they use fake profiles to message potential customers and trick them into purchasing premium plan. Once you do- everything stops, no messages, likes, etc. I find it very strange... I asked to cancel my membership and get a refund on day 4 and they are refusing. They only allow cancelations in certain states which violates laws, every contract must have cooling- off period. I'm filing a formal complaint with the local government and I encourage everyone else to do the same. Stay away from eharmony, COVID restrictions are getting lifted, better to meet someone in person.
Same members week after week. Apparently, no one uses this dating site any longer. Also sad no customer service... just form letter responses. No telephone number, live person to talk to... no cancelation allowed. Bad, bad, bad service. A disservice to ppl who pay. Haha... im trying to submit this review and I won't be able to unless I can show a receipt that I am a paid member. Well, I am a member.
Made stupid decision to sign up had an accident in hospital for at least 6 months, no chance of cancellation there just a business they rip you off
I did not know if I wanted to pay the fee and join but I kept on getting so many messages that I couldn't read (up to 74 actually) and pictures of men that I could see the image but didn't clearly know what I was looking at. I thought wow, I'm just gonna do it. The minute I in rolled, I did not get any more messages and the same guys were on there week after week after week. This site is a joke.
Answer: EHarmony is over rated and it's a lot of mumbo jumbo... If you're going to pay for a site match.com is set up much better and for a free site plenty of fish is really a nice site... BillyPrewitt.com
Answer: No. They won't refund you.
Answer: On your profile where you get asked questions like whats your fav movie and so on. Replace any answers you have already left with offensive language which in turn will violate their terms and conditions and they will have no option than to close your account. As for getting a refund good luck.
Answer: I called my credit card company because I cancelled within the three day grace period. Eharmony tried to say I had waited too long and therefore would be no refund. My credit card company disputed the charges, my account was credited and I was just notified that the dispute has been approved. No more eharmony charges. Hoe things work out for you.
Answer: You can't opt out. You are locked for the whole duration of your subscription even if u dont use it anymore they will charge ur visa regardless untill ur contract expires. I have to spend 11 more months to a site I cant use coz Im a transgender woman and no man in there wants me.
Answer: Well I have but I No longer on those sites anymore because they are scammers of course and I was on match truly.com and I deactivate my account off there as well but however sometimes I register on that website match truly.com even though I'm No longer a member on that website anymore because I still see the same lady Anna I'd Number is 60780729 and she's still online right now just like any other ladies you see on that site so I go on there just to waste their time and use abusive behavior against them to teach them a lesson and I don't pay money for that so that's why if you Noticed just pay close attention to the lady Anna on match truly.com and you will see her on wishdates.com and many other dating sites so I'm just tracking these websites down and you can see the ladies are Not real and can you tell me what Normal person would stay online 24 hours a day and seven days a week that's Not a Normal person that's a Networker and they like to make all kinds of excuses for themselves so don't listen to Nonsense about what they say because if you keep talking to these fake ladies they will Robb you out of your money so pretty much wasting your time because you are Not getting anywhere but a dead end and believe me I know what I'm talking about because I was on that website for two years and believe me they are phony and so is the customer support they are fake and they think they are very intelligent human beings and they think they can manipulate people so just watch yourself and be careful because I'm still seeing the same ladies on that website today from two years ago they are Not real and they are Not looking for anyone
