Found a partner on another dating site. Thought I cancelled the subscription through the app. Noticed a $745.74 charge on my credit card from eharmony. Contact them.
Their response: "Subscriptions renew automatically to provide our customers with uninterrupted service. For your convenience we mention this during the purchase process. Unfortunately, we are unable to honor your request for a refund as your request is outside of our cancellation policy as stated in our Terms and Conditions."
After back and forth emails I was able to get HALF the charges refunded, but they refused to refund the entire amount. There was no warning email that my 12 month subscription was coming due, just a charge on my CC and literally the next day eHarmony telling me sorry, they cannot reverse the charges. A bit of a SCAM in my books.
On the service part of things, lengthy questioning to ensure you have YOUR PERFECT match! Well, let me tell you...I was talking with ladies that were EXACTLY like me. It freaked me out. And something I did not want of course! Opposites attract and this was not what I was looking for.
If you are here to research eHarmony BEFORE you join, consider yourself blessed! I wish I had been wise enough to do that. If I could give it a lower rating, I would!
I have been a member for a full month and have not received a single valid communication of any kind. Other than a one line question (are you interested?) from someone 4 hours away. Well beyond my geographical requirements.
I sent them 3 separate emails asking for feedback. Was there a technical problem? Did I do something wrong in completing my profile? Not even an acknowledgment.
I had several male & female friends look at my profile & they all said it was fine, normal and appropriate. I sent out numerous overtures. Nothing. I even sent one to a person living nearby & asked that he simply respond with a 'yes' if he received my message. Nothing.
And the fact that they require a 6 month MINIMUM to sign up should have been a major red flag. Their 'free communication' weekends are a complete fraud too.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE: DO NOT SIGN UP WITH EHARMONY.
I am out $240.00 with absolutely no recourse. I work on commission and this is really going to hurt.
Best of luck - considered yourself warned.

Works the same on any good dating site, like eHarmony, Mingle2day or Match. If you stay active and invest some time in a nice and creative profile you will meet many (intersting) people.
I sighed up at a supposedly discount rate at less than $12 for six months,=72dollars plus HST...they charged my credit card $168.00.think I'll ever get it fixed...stay away from eHarmony...
E-Harmony swindled me out of 388.55 I saw an add that read 14.95 sign up for a month, next thing I see is an email from E-Harmony STEALING almost 400 dollars from my credit card. I disputed the subscription within their 3 day period terms and conditions at which point they said Canadians don't get refunds, NO WHERE in the terms does it say this, They waited almost 7 days to take this money from my card as they are fully aware pending transactions at the bank can not be disputed and their 3 day rule would be over. This company is corrupt to the core. I have disputed the charges and the bank says now it will take 30 days to investigate and they can not gaurantee E-Harmony won't get away with my money. SHAME ON THEM I was only on the site for less than 3 hours deleted what I could off the account will not access it again but they are still allowed to STEAL MY MONEY.
BE WARNED THIS IS A CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION STEALING MONEY FROM PEOPLE WHO ARE VULNERABLE
BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! I WAS FRAUDULENTLY CHARGED $358
I decided to try this dating app and then subscribe to a 1 month subscription of $17. Upon payment of $17, I received a charge of $358 instead. I tried contacting them via phone but they are unreachable. No means of contacting them. Please BEWARE
They will not let you cancel even though it is the worst site. If you are not from a city do not waste your time or money.
I joined eHarmony a few months ago. When I first started, eHarmony had BARLEY any matches for me. (I live in Canada and 9/10 of of my matches were located in the United States). So, mistakenly I decided to upgrade to the premium membership: thinking this would potentially open up more matches that were closer and ACTUALLY have the potential of becoming a relationship (which is what eHarmony is for.) Sadly, this did not have any success and I decided to cancel my premium membership. I spoke to an eHarmony employee asking to cancel my subscription/membership. I thought this had been successful until I received an email stating that my payment was overdue. Unfortunately, I thought that this had been an error and did not respond in time. Now, they are charging me the full amount of their services for something that should have been cancelled by one of their employees. When I attempted to contact someone, the only way to reach a professional is through e-mail. In which eHarmony barley responds to. After a few days, they declined my request to cancel the debt owing. This website is a huge scam and I caution anyone against using it.
They take your money then ask for more and still don"t give you anything so don"t sign up.You should go for a walk you would meet more people.
Minimum 6 month sign up - no cancellation in Canada - same old male faces - no new people in my time
I Have Been On This Site since October and have not Had One Date. Ninty Nine Percent of Matches are Hundreds of Miles Away. The Ones In My Area Are Not Matches At All. I,m Very Dissatisfied With This Site. They are Not Delivering on Any Of There Promises.
After a long wait, I finally got the copy of documentation used by the eharmony to prove that I still used the account when I submitted a MC dispute. I took down my pictures and submitted the cancellation request on May 19,2020 and I have never logged in again. Yet, in the documentation provided by eharmony, it showed I still sent email out on May 20,2020. Now, I understand why I read so many reviews mentioned that they couldn't dispute the transactions with the credit card company for eharmony transaction. Because the company can simply login to our account and faked our email out and give impression to credit card issuer that we still use their product. Never deal with this company, I disputed the transaction because the advertised feature in their website was not available in the actual product. Once you signed up, no way you could get your money back and you have to use what ever product they give you. Don't easily trust any functionalities advertised in their website; the actual product might not have it. For example, this one - https://www.eharmony.com/tour/tips/eharmony-religion-settings-the-how-to-manual/; this functionality is not available in the actual product.
You can read several customers' complains about false advertising in BBB website:

Absolute crap. Matching BS. And then Try to delete your account... you can't. Scumbag insensitive $#*!s. I want to give no stars
Jeffrey Wolter I would like to stop payment after my trial I have till may but I have no 1 responding if thay could look into it b nice im basicly just given these guys money
I signed up for EHarmony being a single lady looking for a nice guy. None of the matches I received were my type, let alone lived within 5 hours of my home. I live in a city! Not a remote district!
So I ended up paying for the subscription anyways cause I signed up for it. All of a sudden months later I get a charge of $55.80 on my Visa from EHarmony. Weird since I don't use their misleading service. I call them and the lady I talked wasn't able to help me but took my information. Soon after I receive an email: Attached at the bottom! I continued to get charged 2 more payments of $55.80... a total of $167.40... over the past three months, Let alone the first $167.40 I ate for signing up(Yes I am a single mom of two kids but that's not the point)...
That's a total of $334.80 taken where I received nothing but a headache! I feel completely taken advantage of by EHarmony and they need to be stopped from their false advertising and sneaky scams!

eharmony.ca won't refund Candians...
I feel others should be aware of their bias towards Canadians.
As a proud Canadian, I feel all Canadians should know so that no other Canadian gets blindsided by eharmony.ca.
You should all know the truth before signing up with eharmony.ca.
I want to start off by saying, I really believed all the commercials about eharmony, of what a great dating site it was and how every 14 minutes someone finds their love match. It seemed to have a great reputation but unfortunately I was greatly disappointed by the truth about their site.
I signed up to eharmony.ca (not. Com) as I live in Canada. Yes it was expensive even with their so called "rebate" but I figured I owe it to myself as I'm truly looking for love.
Sadly, I quickly realized that there are limited options on this site, about 5 men matched my search criteria which wasn't extravagant to say the least (my search criteria was a very average ask).
I read their cancellation policy and it states that within the first 3 days if you cancel, you will get a fully refund. As it was the third day, I wrote them an email as it says to do on their site and asked for one. A customer service representative wrote me back to inform me as I'm Canadian I'm not entitled to the full refund. But as stated in section 12. C of their cancellation policy within the 3 days with s premium membership which is what I purchased, I'm supposed to be fully refunded (which is not marked in that section that only Canadians won't get their money back).
Such discrimination against Canadian clients like myself and many others I'm sure who were never granted their fully refund or any refund of any kind.
Canadians DO NOT sign up for eharmony.ca! It's false advertisement, with matches they don't have for you and you won't get any of your money back as stated would in their policy in section 12. C.
Canadians it is better to try match.com, Bumble, or any other site that actually has matches available without ripping you off, price and quality wise.
Canadian beware of eharmony.ca as we don't have equal right as their other clients in the states do. In 2021 that's really backwards thinking. Now you know all you need to know about eharmony.ca. Extremely
Limited matches, high membership price and no refund. Don't waste your money!
Avoid at your cost fellow Canadians.
Answer: You can't get a hold of customer service at all every time you click customer service on their site it takes you to FAQs on their website. There is no phone number shown on the site to call them if you have problems. The site is the worst dating site ever, don't believe any of there commercial they are all lies.
eHarmony CA has a rating of 1.2 stars from 59 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with eHarmony CA most frequently mention customer service, credit card and cancellation policy. eHarmony CA ranks 631st among Dating sites.
