Eharmony does not actually care about their customers, they are more concerned with lining their pockets with your money. Their formula is to prey on the hopes of hopeful singles and then rope them into a lengthy and expensive contract. Subscriptions can not be bought on a per month or trial basis. You must purchase a 6,12 or 24 month subscription to their website. Upon signing up, you are automatically enrolled into their automated subscription renewal service. This will automatically bill your credit card upon the completion of your initial subscription, without your authorization! You can not cancel your subscription at any time, as they have a zero refunds policy hidden in their fine print! You would think that a company that claims to have an interest in your personal happiness, would in fact allow you to cancel your subscription, if you do in fact happen to meet a match and find happiness on their website. Why pay hundreds of dollars for a dating/messaging website when you can join somewhere else for free? Eharmony is a cash grab!

CAUTION everyone regarding the number of fakes, scammers and players on this site. The VAST MAJORITY of my "connections" have been proven to be fake or scams. I regularly receive notifications that such have been removed from eharmony for "violating" Trust and Safety Policy. Then there are the MANY who simply do not even want to log on. Eharmony are supposed to remove after 2 months inactivity, but do not. I am NOT renewing my subscription.

Honestly the biggest scam ever. No quality at all for the price. Joined in Oct. Already reported 3 fake profiles. Selection is limited unless you really want to travel. I tried to cancel within 12 hours, and not allowed. No 10 day contract cancelation. They take your money and run. The Customer Service is horrible, took over a month for them to delete a fake profile.

This website is TERRIBLE! Their policies are unclear. After using the website for FOUR DAYS, I felt unsafe with online dating. I initiated a cancellation, and their customer service is practically non-existent (EMAIL ONLY), and they refuse to cancel my subscription. RUN FOR THE HILLS, LADIES!

Beware! Remove automatic renewal from your account as soon as you join. Otherwise, you will be charged a much larger amount if you use the service still or not.
It's a terrible money grab.

They take your money then ask for more and still don"t give you anything so don"t sign up.You should go for a walk you would meet more people.

On the website it is written that you can delete and unsubscribe if you do it within 36 hours. In reality they keep charging. It is impossible to unsubscribe and impossible to reverse impossible to negotiate. Nobody answers the phone customer service the worst in the world. Pool of candidates just a nightmare.!

If you decide to pay to look at the members, because you can't even look at pictures without being a member, be prepared to be ripped off.
I purchased a yr membership paying quarterly
After paying for the first quarter I didn't find this site to be of quality or have many members
I attempted to cancel and asked to cancel my membership and shut down my profile
They responded saying we will pause you for 6 months but still charge you full membership fees
Even if you delete your profile they will still charge you
DO NOT BECOME A MEMBER OF THIS RIP OFF SITE
It is definitely not worth it
All other sites you can at least see pictures of people without paying
I thought what harm, what foul if I don't like it I can cancel

Very inflexible and horrible customer service. For a site which is for relationships they should try to work on their customer service when it comes to cancelling unsatisfied customers on their website. I have been trying to cancel my service after less than 30 days of usage and they CATEGORICALLY refuse.
My conversations with them...
I want nothing to do with an inflexible corporation who has no understanding or heart.
I cannot afford this any longer and I do not trust the system so I do not want any of my information to continue online with you.
Especially that I have been with you less than 30 days and the persons are the website are very fake.

Their response:I am sorry to hear that you still wish to delete your account and I can certainly provide you with some assistance.

As requested, I have taken the necessary steps to delete your profile and completely remove it from our platform. You will no longer be able to log in and will no longer be suggested to other members as a match. You will also no longer receive notification or email offers about your account. Please understand that complete deletion from the system can take up to ten days.

Also note that even after the deletion of your account, the remaining payments will continue on the same schedule, as quoted in your purchase agreement.

Make sure to steer clear of this particular service, as they have a sneaky hidden charge and are unwilling to terminate your membership or provide a reimbursement. It's highly advisable to avoid them at all costs.

My eharmony experience was horrible. You will NOT get a refund if you are unhappy with the service! I'm a gay male who lives in Calgary (metro population of almost 1.5 million) and when I signed up, I received 3 matches: 2 women and 1 obviously religious straight man (I set my settings to only meet other gay men). I immediately contacted "customer service" and received generic answers that did not address my issue. After MANY back and forth emails, their ONLY "solution" was to expand my search criteria and they denied my request for a refund. In the following 4 months I received 2 accurate (i.e., other gay men) matches that were within 200 km.

Minimum 6 month sign up - no cancellation in Canada - same old male faces - no new people in my time

I used this account briefly 2 years ago. I just discovered that they have been billing me for 2 years with no information provided and with a policy that demands payment even if the service is cancelled 1 day after the billing is made. This is predatory and harassing. If the company does not have a fair cancellation policy any services offered are not worth it.

Scam of a website with fake profiles and women not interested in meeting or would suddenly disappear in the midst of conversing. Went on 2 dates through the course of 1 year

I attempted to cancel auto-renewal months ago and for whatever reason it did not work. I only realize after I saw a charge on my credit card. I informed eharmony less than 12 hours later and asked them to refund and cancel my membership. They refused to accommodate at all. They do not care about their clients or having any resemblance of customer service. They just want your money. Do yourself a favor and use literally any other dating site rather than eharmony.

They will not let you cancel even though it is the worst site. If you are not from a city do not waste your time or money.

I signed up for a 12 month equal payment subscription on eHarmony.ca, and I literally emailed their customer service department less than 6 hours later to cancel. They have consistently denied my requests and no where in their Terms and Conditions "Cancelation Policy" does it state anything about Canadian Subscribers. I feel completely pissed and ripped off! I have kept all my documentation to prove to my bank that my dispute against the charges are valid. What kind of a bull$#*! company doesn't allow you to cancel after 6 hours?!

EHarmony is sleezy in how they take care of their consumers. I accidentally hit one year subscription because of the way it's layed out to almost make you do it.I emailed right away after I noticed my mistake and they refuse to bend in any way to help.
On top of all that, there is next to anyone even remotely close to my home town. This is a $400 mistake I will never make again.
Also, upon reading tons of other reviews k am not the only one in this situation.
