Horrible site there are too many glitches that make it impossible to use and to make it worse they give you like 20 assignments per hour per class. I use it part online and I go to another school in person, meaning after in person school I have to stress out and get yelled at by my parents because they dont understand what it is. All they see is I have like 30 hours of work I am behind in. I stay up till 2:30 am and wake up at 7am every single day even on the weekends trying to complete this work but I cant do it fast enough. This stupid site took away my free time and took away my life. I cannot wait to go back fully in person next year as this site is horrible and life crushing.
It only boosted my low score on 10 or 20 precent and i don't like that. It also doesn't give as many free chances to try again as I need.

Okay. First off, I have LITERALLY BROKEN my computer's screen because of this program. My life… it's a living hell right now because of this program. This is the reason the acronym for SCHOOL is Six Cruel Hours Of Our Lives. I've not been able to concentrate on this app for more than 10 minutes before my brain dies of boredom. So, whoever created this, WHERE THE HECK DID YOU ETT THE IDEA!? A Nazi camp for torturing children!? Awesome job, whoever found it there with the goal of making children live in hell, YOU HAVE SUCCEEDED! It is also very laggy and glitchy, and funny thing is, it teaches to not use outdated sources. This is from 2016. I'd consider that outdated, just admiring anyone who will join me in a legal battle in suing edgenuity till they go bankrupt. Useless, spirit-breaking, and they also use some things they haven't even TAUGHT in class in quizzes…
Im a student who takes this so called "online learning program" if you could really call it that, this program is completely dry boring and outdated. What edgenuity basically does is throw information at you and call it a day so you have to sit through 5-6 hours of boring and annoying teachers who dont know what they are doing.
Edgenuity is by far the worst online learning platform I've ever encountered. It's breaking our kids' spirits, making them hate learning and stressing them beyond the breaking point... For those who really matter, it's a 1-star learning platform at best (and that's pushing it).
Upon the forcing of Edgenuity in my school, the students have overall found the site to be not only frustrating and stressful, but often glitchy and ineffective. Its "Lessons" are repetitive and highly boring, and the site provides no real advantage over other academic platforms other than being directed towards a large-scale remote situation- of which it still fails to adequately achieve and is perhaps in my opinion, worse than simply adapting a site not intended for remote learning to the situation.
Many kids at my school got in trouble for not doing Edgeunity for the required amount of time in my school because the website is very glitchy. The lessons are very low quality and videos can't be skipped even on simple subjects.
This has been a horrible experience for my children and I. From day one just trying to access the program has been a nightmare. My kids are now almost through the first semester and are just as stressed out as I am. There are no Zoom classes, sessions, or any actual teaching instructions or guidance from the teachers. This program literally has these students self-teaching like college. I reached out to one of my childrens teachers for what was labeled as "tutoring" to attempt to get extra help. As my child was expressing his need for help on a specific assignment the teacher cut him off and told him that she is not there to teach him, she is only there to make sure he submits the work. If I was not next to him I would not have believed it. Not to mention, most of the assignments are from lessons they read week or months prior. Again my child reached out to his teacher letting her know he could not find the lesson that went with his assignment. Her response via email per her usual response was "it's in the module". She offered him no help as to where or which module it could be found nor any links to assist finding the actual lesson. After I sat with him looking for the lesson, it was found all the way back in a module from August! The assignment was given in November! So aside from the horrible nonteaching teachers and uninteractive virtual schooling, the set up, curriculum and layout of this program is beyond horrendous.
Worst website in existence, I hope they know that some people do not like watching online videos. They give me questions I have never seen before and were never on the star test. These questions do not seem easy to solve without physical guidance.
Edgenuity is by far one of the worst learning platforms iv'e come along by It has no inter activity and does not engage any of the students
I am an 8th grader that uses Edgenuity. The virtual school I attend requires students to use this program for grades and attendance. The lessons are very difficult to listen to because the teachers look like they don't even want to be there. Edgenuity has destroyed my mental health because of the amount of stress I get due to the amount of work I'm assigned every day. I'm not the only one failing most of my classes. The majority of my classmates are failing and students are required to use Edgenuity for 6 hours a day. I can't wait to be done with this program and go back to school.
I am a student and have been using edgenuity for around two months. By far the hardest months of my high school experience. I have never been flooded with so much useless busywork. At points, it feels like your brain is numb from the constant work. Quizzes almost daily and unit tests every week. The projects are ridiculous, they take hours, give little to no real direction, and I have to jump through hoops just to make my files acceptable to the limited program. I have to use outside resources to actually learn because the videos that "teach" you are the most unengaging lifeless forms of education. I went through the online school, distanced learning with teachers was very difficult. And yet somehow this is hands down worse in almost every way. Edgenuity should serve as a punishment not an alternative.
This software is very horrible for students. One, in every lesson (preferably math ones) they teach us a few things. It'll go from "Oh, I understand" to "What even is this?". Also, when it comes to the assignments and quizzes it never asks any questions about what was taught in the lesson. For example, I was taught how to solve literal equations and formulas using WHOLE numbers without having to do any extra work. By this I mean, in the assignment part of the section, it made us do this with PERCENTAGES and even if I calculated the percentages right, it didn't even teach us how to solve with the percented value so I was failing most of the assignment. Also, the grades. I can be doing very good on a course (getting a 70-100 on all the assignments and quizzes) yet if I get one 0 preferably on the journals of a course, I drop down to 70 which is a C. Another thing about the journals is, you can answer the question completely and still get a 0 because it's not in their own words. The question can even ask you to input YOUR OWN opinion about a topic and when you do, you get a 0
Unfortunately, during the beginning of our year, our french teacher left for a new position at a new school. The students got a choice to either take a different course, aka starting a brand new langue after 2 years, OR enroll in an online French class. While some students choose to leave most stayed in hoping of a learning experience with an online french class. We were informed of how this website worked, and how efficient it would be. While also teaching time management and independence to the students we were expecting to learn french. Let me tell you that was the opposite of what we encountered. Multiple students have been complain and struggling with the amount of assignments that Edgenuity gives, when their is short periods of time. Edgenuity promised to be on our schedule and yet we still have assignments on days we are off. On tests there are a maximum if 2 takes, If you fail both you have to email a teacher to get passed, or another re-take. But, when the teacher is out of office every other week and rarely answers their email it is hard to answer and move on a course. Their job is to help, teach and create a good learning experience for students and that has not been shown. Since they have not answered nor moved us on we had no choice but to sit and watch the over due assignments flow in one by one raking up by the days. I feel as if there is no solution after emailing our principal, having a meeting with him, to get the teachers attention we have nothing left to do but complain. Multiple students have gone through this, and are needing help. The students are not learning, being active, or even getting a chance to know a new language.
Turns out, Edgenuity doesn't save your work when you write an essay. People have complained, saying it automatically signed them out, and when they came back, the entire thing was gone.
Edgenuity is the worst online school learining app. I have used it since 9th grade and am now a senior and I absolutely despise it. Whoever made the app is a terrible person.
My historically A and B students are failing math and science for the second year in a row due to this horrible excuse for school. I'm still waiting for a response from two questions I asked last year, and have never received anything like a response. I sat through my children's (incredibly boring) math videos and classes last year and made sure all of the assignments were done and turned in on time, so when they failed I asked "How did this happen, and what can we do better?" No response! Then, the math lessons given for 7th grade, were the EXACT same lessons given to upper class High School kids! They just pushed my kids into 12th grade math without teaching any middle school math!
I can't add more than one student on my parent account and asked for help. No response!
We asked for a science project supplies list on two occasions. It took TWO WEEKS on both occasions to get a response from the teacher, and by that time, my kids were about 27 assignments behind, and the semester had ended. So they failed. I could go on and on about all the stress and anxiety this program causes my family!
Just disgusting that any school would use this and think it's OK to FAIL this bad with intelligent children.
This needs to be STOPPED.
Where to start... I just watched it log my kid out for inactivity as she scrolled, immediately after she clicked several things. It also logs out for inactivity during most videos.
You can only full screen about half of the videos, but even when it doesn't work it tells you to use escape to return to normal. The videos themselves, especially in social studies, have bad sound and video quality, and seem to glorify slavery and genocide. They are clearly very old, based on the hair cuts of the speakers.
Then there are the log on issues. I can't access the parent portal since 2 days after I set it up. Even when I could, I could only use it if my kid wasn't using hers.
My kid gets a plain white screen, or logged in, with the dashboard showing through the tiny square of the login box most of the time. She has figured out a work around, but it takes several minutes. She probably spends 15 minutes a day on average dealing with login issues.
Too much of screen real estate is given to oversized and unnecessary navigation bars. The actual material is viewed through a narrow window, that leaves kids scrolling up and down to do imbeded activities.
