EconomyBookings receives mixed feedback, with notable strengths in the professionalism and efficiency of some rental partners, contributing to positive customer experiences. However, a significant number of reviews highlight serious concerns regarding transparency, poor communication, and unresponsive customer service. Customers frequently report issues with booking confirmations, unclear cancellation policies, and difficulties in obtaining refunds, leading to frustration and financial loss. Overall, while there are isolated instances of satisfactory service, the overarching sentiment suggests a need for improved clarity in terms and conditions, as well as a more responsive customer support approach.

Easy booking process. There was a wait at pick up but once seen the process was slick. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Vehicle was very clean and presentable. Would definitely use again.
When I'm going to rent a car, I always go to this website, because I know that I will always find great deals there, as with major companies, as with local less-known companies. The car's condition depends on the supplier as well as how far the pick up location from the airport is. But that doesn't have much to do with the website, what matters with them is to give you a wide choice of cars and provide easy booking process and they deal with it very well.
Their confirmation page uses phrases such as "Reservation No" and "Your Booking," both of which strongly imply (that is, if we are using standard dictionary definitions of these words) that I had in fact BOOKED a RESERVATION. In reality, though, all I "booked" was merely a *request* for a reservation, which I frustratingly found out the next day when they told me the car I "booked" wasn't available and they tried to get me to switch to a much cheaper car without offering me a discount. When I replied to them that this "upgrade," as they called it, was unacceptable and demanded the same or better car, they sent me an email saying my "reservation" had been canceled.
Because of the false assurance I received from their deceptive confirmation page, I thought I had my rental car needs taken care of. Once my "reservation" (ha!) was canceled, though, I was stuck having to make a last-minute reservation and paying almost double what I was planning to spend.
This is a classic bait-and-switch tactic that is dishonest at best and from my perspective downright deceptive.
Customer service was of no help--I spent over an hour on the phone trying to get a hold of them (I tried their offices in the US, UK, Latvia, and Australia to no avail).
It was a rainy week in France when we booked a car through economybookings. It was such a pleasure that we used their car for the holiday, it would have been a disaster without the car. Car was in good condition, new one.
I have used Economybookings Name Your Price feature for booking car rentals two times with stellar results. I know that I got the best deals because I had done my research at other websites, such as Economecarrentals, Arguscarhire, Autoeurope, etc. To save money, you have to spend some time in researching other sites to understand what a "great deal" should cost. Economybookings is not going to be always the lowest but if not, it is very competitive, for car rental bookings. Economybookings is one of the best.
I rented a car in San Francisco through Economybookings.com for the second time and both times my journey went great. One time i have problem with insurance, but once i come back home, i send email to them and customer service of company was solved my situation. I'm completely satisfied with their services.
My wife rented a car this summer in Italy. I did not search it on the web too long – it was available to book at economybookings.com Company provide nice service and their cars are always in good condition, it was not the first time I rent a car through them. I would recommend economybookings.com because I can say about them onl y good things.
I just came back from Miami where i been on Holiday time with family. I was renting a car and I would like to share with you my impressions. The company which service I used is called economybookings.com. It was the first time I've rented a car through this company, and must say, that my first time was very successful. I am used to value my time, so it was very positive for me that I without troubles found a car and all the useful information at their web site. And I could choose, where to pick up my car, so I've chosen airport and when I arrived in Miami, it was already waiting for me at the parking lot. And it's really true guys!
During great week I've spent in Chikago andI was renting a car. If you also have plans to visit this city I would recommend you Economybookings services. This company offers to book cars of all classes worldwide and I can say for myself, that I had a great car, which I picked up and returned on time.
Not long ago I was with my family in Las Vegas. We hired through economybookings.com a car which was capacious enough for four people and luggage, cheap and in great condition. During our trip we've visited a lot of Vegas tourist sites and our car did not let us down. We were completely happy with our choice. Thank's
I wanna say thank you to this company! Without you my holidays wouldn't be so cool! Thanks for fast service, and great cars!

Please do not rev[11:49:10] martin: Car rental California
It was a pleasure to deal with this company. From the moment of booking to pick up and drop off I was provided with excellent service. I booked the car a lot in advance, about half-year before going to California, and during this period I needed to ask economybookings.com questions regarding my booking and got answers within an hour after I sent them by email, which was surprisingly fast. As for the rental itself, I did not have to wait at the Alamo desk at the Los Angeles airport, because there was no queue and the staff was very helpful. The car was almost new – 7,000 mls mileage – clean and in great condition. I would recommend this company to anyone. Iew if you are affiliated or have a conflict of interest with this website.
10 minutes to pick up the car and 10 minutes to drop her off - I would not ask for anything else - keep up the good work guys!
WARNING: THIS IS A SCAM. Only as of yesterday (July 10,2013) I made an online reservation for a rental car for Seattle and did confirm it. But then my gut told me something wasn't right. Not only had I never heard of "economybookings.com", but I had never heard of their "affiliate" Fox Rent-A Car.
Sure enough! Not only can I NOT cancel the reservation through the website, I cannot send them an email through the site AND they don't answer the phone. It's a looped recording and that's it! I then called Fox Rent-A-Car and was on hold for 15 minutes and never once did a person pick up! I couldn't cancel the reservation through Fox's website either!
SCAM SCAM SCAM!
As a result I have literally cancelled my credit card and they are placing the charge under investigation. THIS IS SERIOUS!
Beware! There are hidden charges that don't show up until you put in your credit card information and confirmation, then find out you were charged twice the amount they quoted because of additional fees. A genuine SCAM!
I booked a car online with them last Friday. They took the money from my credit card right away. However, as of today (5 days later), I haven't received any confirmation from them whatsoever.
I have tried e-mailing them to any of their 3 addresses and never got an answer. I also tried calling to their phone number in the US and no answer either.
I think this might actually be a scam. I give them one more day and, if I don't hear back from them, I'll contact my bank and request the funds back.
I can't believe that I ended up on that website through a trustworthy website like Kayak. Shame on Kayak for leading me up to a fraud.
DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THIS WEBSITE!
I planned a car rental in Fort Lauderdale through this website. Before I clicked the submit button, for some reason I got the "if it sounds to good to be true." feeling and I didn't finalize the reservation. They sent me an e-mail asking me to finalize it, I didn't. They proceeded to charge my credit card and send me a voucher for the reservation. I tried cancelling through their website and wasn't able to. I called their customer service number, no answer.
I wished I had found these reviews before I tried booking with them.
This is the worst website!... DO NOT USE THIS SITE AT ALL!. They're advertisement for cdw, insurance, liability is false!... You cannot contact them at all! Even when you try to email them!... I now realize after 2 days of trying to reach them, it's a scam!... They're prices aren't the best, it was only worth it if they're advertisement was true about the insurance. I also called the emergency number and it was a non working number! ALERT DO NOT USE THIS SITE!
When renting cars in Europe or the USA through economybookings.com, I always take their additional cover called Refundable Excess. You never know what situations may happen on the road and albeit it came useful to me just once in my ten or more rentals, it really saves me a lot of headache during my rental time. It costs just € 5.67 per day and if you rent a car for a several days, theses expenses really pay its way. But you have to keep in mind that damages of windows, glass, tires, roof and undercarriage are not covered. As it happened with me, I got the body of my rental car scratched in two spots and was fined for it by the supplier for € 170. But a couple of days has passed and this amount was returned to my bank account in full.

It's not often I actually fall prey to an internet scam, but this time I did. I recently used an online booking company called EconomyBookings.com, a site which claims to be able to get you the best deals on car rentals. As is turned out, the price they quoted me was considerably less than other car rental agencies, thus I booked the car and pre-paid for it.
I then get an email stating that they would now find a company that would accept the price, and the next day I received another email stating FOX had indeed accepted the rental deal at the set price.
Upon arriving at FOX at Seattle's sea/tac airport, I was badgered to upgrade to a mid-sized car for an additional $150 dollars, after a few minutes of this I got angry and stated I just want the car I paid for, give me the keys. I was then told there was a required $300 damage deposit, and $166.27 in taxes and "airport fee's" due!
Thats an expense of $466.27 over the price I had already paid of $288.16! That brings the cost of renting an economy car to $30.26 per day, almost double the rate offered by other companies in the bidding process.
The taxes and fees alone added 40% to the quoted price I was given online, despite the fact that my receipt clearly in large letters stated PAID IN FULL. This is essentially a bait and switch scam that I personally haven't dealt with while renting cars before; I rent cars quite often, and I've never encountered such trickery and deception while renting. I'll be surprised if they even return the deposit, I'm quite sure there's a trick to scamming one out of that.

Answer: They do not just delay. When something goes wrong, they never intend to make good ony any of their promises: they do not call or write back, they do not follow up, and sure as hell they do not pay you anything unless you force them to, and that (in my experience) can only be done via the courts. This company is rotten and everyone should stay away from them.
Answer: Economy Booking is based in Europe and is impossible to deal with. I would never use them again. I got my money back (the down payment taken off at the time of booking) by using better Business Bureau and going after the US rental company.
Answer: A complete shambolic company that cons people out of money!
Answer: Theft Company (Economy Booking) ever because they will steal your money and they don't respect the customer.
Answer: You can't. They aren't to be trusted
