My favorite auction sites. Items tend to go for a bit more but the items are handled with care and in good condition.
Stay away. Absolutely terrible. Doesn't respond to questions about auction items. Outrageous shipping on small easy to pack items. If you don't pick up immediately they charge huge storage fees per the week. Communication is poor you tell them not so ship and then they ship a small light item for $50. I buy a lot from online auctions and never had an experience as bad as with this auction house. Really shady.

I have won 3 watches on this sight.
The last 2 were not working as described.
One the time would not adjust and the second the date and day will not change,I understand there is no guarantee on future time keeping but I did expect them to work as described when I opened the box.
Don't believe anything that is in the description!
I received a ceramic deer with one ear missing and got nowhere with request to return. They said they have pictures of the deer and the ear was not missing.
I won a Rolex Cellini for $2800 11-4-23 and EBTH reset the clock 24h after time ran out. Then got out bid 20miles later. Hidden reserve. Supposed to be a contract. Bidder beware. Fraud when you get a good deal.
Tip for consumers:
When an auction refuses to sell a non-reserve item at the winning price, under their own terms and contractual obligations, it is fraud. You cannot trust previous bids and you cannot trust that you will win making it impossible to commit bids. It is fraud. Simple as that.

I have tried this auction house many many times. 5 or more years ago, it was a little different—-but it has gone down in quality over the years. Extra charges on top of shipping and win price—-pieces that feel like gumball machine items—-broken pieces that you have to pay to repair…. I am disappointed again and again. I'm just done with them.

I have ordered several things from them because they really do get some great luxury fashion items! But the last 3 times has taken over 30 days to receive the items and I had a Louis Vuitton handbag sent in a box with no packing not in a protective bag or anything and the box was crushed and torn! They are very slow when responding to inquiries and customer service basically doesn't even answer your questions or address the issue! I am currently waiting on a key chain that they took my money ($320) over a month ago and I still don't have a delivery date! The expedited fee is added without your knowledge so they can extract the money somehow faster from your credit card and it's done on all transactions unless you link your checking account directly for them to debit!
Tip for consumers:
Check the estimated shipping and be aware of the ridiculous expedited fee!!!!! Do not get in a hurry for your item
I'm a good customer, But happens that I had 24 items on my trade, bidding, called my attention that in a matter of 5. Minutes. All my 24 items were over bid
Only some one with control from inside can see my profile. I did not like that. I feel cheated.
They sell products that are defective, damaged, worn, discontinued, broken. They are a dumping ground for everything that does not sell at or in a reputable platform. Two watches I bought did not run and they claimed they are not responsible for "future operation". Not sure what "future" means. I guess they will ship you damaged products and say it's now the future asnd we are not responsible for it's operation and will not refund you. Stay away!
Tip for consumers:
most products are worn and damaged. They take professional and probably touched up pictures to make things look much better than they actually are. I bought a ring and my jeweler said it was the worst quality diamonds they have seen. My watch was broken upon arrival and they would not refund. Buyer beware.
They routinely charge $28-$55 dollars to ship a First Class package that actually costs no more than $ including the cost of the box and label.
Photos looked great and said lightly used for terrible condition sofa for $190. Obviously photoshopped. They said I did not have to pick it up. They said they will relist it with the same photos, but they lied. Instead, they took new awful photos which looked as terrible as it was. It was sold for $12. I paid $190 and they sold it for $12! They said I had to eat the $178, No negotiation! Unspeakable people. I will never shop there again. Stay Away!

Beware EBTH.com descriptions. Clock in terrible condition, piece of trash. No key to even attempt to wind it up. Broken spring mechanism. BUYER BEWARE!

Everything I buy there. I love my EBTH stuff.
3 times in 10 days have I observed insider bidding in on EBTH.
I don't know if this counts as cheating, but I won an auction for a 14k diamond ring. EBTH billed my credit card and didn't provide me with a tracking number or invoice. I had to contact EBTH to get clarification. They weren't even aware of their mistake. It took one week of hounding them to get the issue resolved.
I purchased three items. One was a painting attributed to an artist that turned out to be fake the other two, were advertised as unopened electronics direct from manufacturing and both were broken and didn't work
Tip for consumers:
Confirm you CC will refund the charge
My sole interest is the art category...five years ago it was decent, now its the same dozen or so artists repeated ad nausem...my guess is they virtually stopped buying individual estates from average folks and are now buying directly from the(mostly mediocre)artists...and dont get me started on the onerous mailing fees
I have purchased over 75 pieces of jewelry from EBTH. I had a big problem with Samantha the executive. She closed my account. I asked to return a couple diamonds I purchased. As I did not agree with the description. All I asked for was a credit towards a future purchase. She said absoutly no refunds no credits. We had some words and she closed my account. I contacted Gia laboratory they said they can't change the gradings. I have been in the Diamond business business since 1964. I sell on eBay. Over 1 million in sales. Perfect feedback for 22 years. Then I ran into Samantha. And what a horrible experience. Now I understand Why EBTH has such a bad reputation. With people like Samantha as managers. It's no wonder they have so much problems.
Tip for consumers:
Be careful dealing with Samantha at EBTH. She made big problems for our company.

Purchased over 75 items. Wanted to return 2 lots for credit towards a future purchase. Samantha said no refunds no credits. Unless if Gia changes the reports Gia said they will not lower the grading
No direct deposit check only, takes a month to get a listing live and another to receive the check. Feels like a website from 2005
Charge 40% fees on a average item
Tip for consumers:
Review is as a seller not a buyer
They've added fees so now you're paying: shipping + (maybe tax) AND "everything expedited fee." What's the fee!?! Maybe they're outsourcing packing/shipping work to a 3rd party. On a $450 ring, this means I paid $25.74, and after 11 days it hasn't arrived - some kind of shared shipping with Fedex/Post Office and tracking is abysmal... so I don't know where the "expedited" comes in. I've purchased 3 rings/gemstones recently (I know, I said I gave up on them) and ALL 3 times there was inadequate tracking and an average of 10 days to arrive.
Yes - you can find unique items and deals on designer items BUT prepared to PAY, WAIT and rarely ever hear back from their customer service.
Tip for consumers:
There will be an additional fee, and shipping is SLOW. In my experience, over half the time there is NO tracking information because ebth uses Fedex Smart Post. Fedex shares delivery with the post office. It's 11 and 12 since my last two purchases, and Fedex can't tell me where the items are. Shopping with ebth has become a drag.

I've spent thousands of dollars on jewelry and furniture here but am now DONE. They don't stand behind their items, outright refuse (or make it VERY DIFFICULT) to return a faulty item, and are slow to respond (to the point that you miss out on auctions if you wait for a question to be answered before bidding).
Positive experience overall.
Item was well photographed, with sufficient details to make a several thousands of dollars purchase.
Pleasant customer service, very quick shipping, well packaged.
However, the condition, was less than described, with remnants of old lacquer coating to the kettle stand, which were
NOT noted in EBTH listing, which will cost me several hundred to remedy.
All told, I will purchase on EBTH again, and recommend to silver dealers and collectors.

Increasingly weary of this business. I've been a seller and buyer for years (my bidder # has 4 digits) and for at least a year now or is it two...what is it with all the 'lab created diamonds', Threshold brand furnishings, kilim pillow covers and pallet drek? Who are these sellers loading down the auctions with this stuff? Is it EBTH themselves as buyer and seller? Why would they cheapen their site like this? Used to be a great place for Estate sale items and good second hand furnishings, but no longer. It may be time to hang up my four digits as EBTH has seemingly adopted a new business model that is a loser IMO.
Both my buying experience me selling experience were extremely disappointing. One item I purchased was broken when it arrived, so they told me to keep it. Another item did not look like it looked on the website. It is a necklace that is so little you can hardly see it, not worth the money My selling experience was worth than that. The items went for Pennies on the dollar, I was horrified at the prices. I learned my lesson, NEVER AGAIN.
Tip for consumers:
Don’t sell here if you want a fair price.

I am a fan of antique jewelry and I really love shopping on EBTH.com. They have a lot of great items and often at great prices. Unfortunately, the delivery option they often use has proven unreliable. Out of about ten items ordered over the past 6 or 7 months, two have been lost in the mail. I am particularly upset about the most recent one, a pair of irreplaceable victorian earrings. The worst part about these items being lost in the mail is that when you contact EBTH about it, they will tell you they can't do anything about it until it has been 30 days, at which point they will file a claim with FedEx and send you a refund. So twice I have been in this waiting game position of being without both product and money, and would have really preferred that EBTH make an effort to track down the missing items rather than force me to wait until they were lost forever and then issue a refund.
Until this practice is changed, I will no longer spend more than $200 on EBTH.

I've been an antique dealer for 35 years and I've discovered this site as a good reference for what is trending. I also enjoy purchasing.
After the purchase of my item I found authenticity issues! Was hung up on when I questioned these!
I purchased to error coins and one was a counterfeit. I'm down $900 and looking for legal help. I'm giving them a chance to reply, but that looks unlikely. We will see what the attorney says next week. JC
Tip for consumers:
Paid over $900... for a fake.
