The only thing free about Dreamstime is signing up. After that, even their 'free download' button takes you to the payment page. There are genuinely free clipart platforms out there... This is not one of them. Don't waste your time like I did, finding the 'free' pic, signing up, filling in their lengthy form after proving you're a human, and then to be asked which payment plan you want.
I have used iStock for well over a decade (including as a contributor) and Shutterstock for years. Dreamstime is garbage. I am accustomed to certain standards by using iStock and Shutterstock. Dreamstime changes required credits with every different click, they sell jpg licenses - which in my opinion is total garbage. Who uses an illustration as a jpg? The way this platform is set up, is a cluster#### and if you don't get a magnifying glass for the fine print, you'll end up buying a worthless file. I have never had issues with iStock or Shutterstock in the functionality of their interface. If Dreamstime has to be shady to compete, just give up Dreamstime.

They offer you "Free Trial" but then when you try to download the pic it has a watermark on it. If I wanted a watermarked image I could have downloaded it with Inspect Element myself!

My credit card on file expired and I didn't know about it for awhile and only found out weeks later when I signed in to Dreamstime website. I updated my card info, but it still showed all of the credits I had built up to be gone. I sent them a message requesting that they consider reinstating my credits under the circumstances and "poof" it was solved... that easy! I appreciate the way Dreamstime handles customer service! Had to ask Dreamstime to reinstate my downloads because my subscription stalled. I understood this may be due to connectivity issues. They promptly added back my remaining downloads. I like the fact they transfer unused downloads in your next subscription, that is something other agencies don't do.

Trial is fake. You just get watermarked images. To actually get non-watermarked images, you have to upgrade to, you guessed it, a paid subscription. I'd never actually pay for this service after these tactics.

Just signed up for the trial offer thinking I could use it to download something for print use. Clicked on the print use download link and it came up with another subscription that I had to sign up and pay for. Why trick your potential customers like that. When you sign up for the trial, it should say, in big red letters, that you can only download watermarked images. Cancelled the subscription and will not use...
Dreamstime is a total scam. They offer you a 15-image free trial but fail to tell you the trial images will be watermarked. Quality of images is horrible. Zero creativity.

I saw an image in Dreamstime and there was a button that said, "Free download". I clicked it and I needed to make an account before I could get the image. I made one and clicked download again, it said I need to write my address and phone number and all dose stuff. I just wrote some random phone number and then the "Free Download" Button become "Download" I pressed it and it asked for me to buy it. Dreamstime is a scam.

They are the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.
Firstly they offer a free trial, once you have fallen for this, when it comes to downloading all theirt images have watermarks on them,
They then tell you you need to Buy a subscription in order to remove the watermark. (SO FREE isn't FREE)
(Vectors I downloaded are Bitmaps, I never received a response from them, this is after spending valuable time sourcing images and then not being able to use them)
They then debited my account 3 days early at $25 USD and tell me I signed up for 2 subscriptions. However, I only bought into one. They must be very desperate to take peoples monies!
My screenshots will show how the deceive the unsuspecting purchaser.
They refunded me my money with a huge shortfall.
This is very unscrupulous and basic theft.
Good by Dreamstime, you can Dream on... I am taking my business elsewhere.

I paid a monthly subscription just to download 2 photos that I needed. Then you realize, that all photos you can download are with a "watermark"! I don´t know what exactly I paid for, because I couldn´t download a single normal photo. When I asked for a refund since I couldn´t download anything, they didn´t even respond! Just a bunch of scammers. DO NOT USE THIS SITE!
