After being too exhausted by how difficult Doteasy makes it to do anything like discontinue service, I took a six month break from dealing with them. But this week I dove in again determined to figure this out and transfer my domains. First, I tried unlocking them, for which they have a handy lock-unlock icon. I kept clicking unlock, and was taken to a page that offered me locking service for $6.95 per domain. Well, if it was locked, why would I purchase the service to lock it? Another contact us form later, I found out that no, this service was not on my account. I would have to fill out a form, which would be sent to me by the billing department, before they could unlock my account. If I still wanted to transfer? They made me a $#*!ty offer to stay with them, but I said, no thanks. Three days later, I get an email, not from billing, but from another customer service manager, offering me a better deal to stay with them. Or, I could request the form from the billing department which they need in order to unlock my account. Holy hell, what kind of crazy are they? I am going to make it my life's work to tell the world to stay away from this awful company. They deserve to go under.
While I never had problems with the hosting, when I need to consolidate my domains under one registrar, I decided to go with a different provider. I requested the authorization codes, which were not available to me through my account. To contact them, you must fill out a webform. A few hours later, I got a non-response, trying to get me to stay on as a customer. I had to use their webform to request the codes again. 19 hours later, no response. I've just sent in another request via my open ticket. It should not be this hard to contact customer service and get the information I need, and paid for.
DOTCON. NEVER use Doteasy. I live in Ireland, and they are based in western Canada. I used to do website design and at one stage had about 30 domains hosted with Doteasy. At the early stages they were good. After a few years however, I noticed that whenever I lapsed a website they started to charge my credit card for totally bogus services for LAPSED websites (the usual charges that everybody complains about, such as spam filters, domain locking etc) These websites were not even on the web!. Negotiations are impossible as they only offer in house "credits" and will not properly explain how they charge and will avoid giving direct answers. They told me that they will not make the name of their managing director public, so I cannot write to their manager?! They get away with this because they are based in Western Canada and know that they are almost untouchable (by myself and many others). I am starting a campaign online shortly to expose their cheap scam which must have net themselves millions.
I bought a 2 year plan with free hosting and then they charged me with 6 months left for hosting. They are rude and no help when contacting. I'm filing with Fraud.org.
I tried to unlock my domain to transfer, they want $6.45 to unlock it!
They want another $6.45 to provide the AUTH code for transfer!
It is a scam. They should be in jail.
Stay Away from Doteasy.
For some reason, the first time I tried to establish a master account, your site was undergoing maintenance and I could not complete my signup/purchase. Other than that, the experience was very straight forward and smooth.
Bringing my domain transfer from GoDaddy to Doteasy was kinda squirrely on the Doteasy transfer page. I had to enter my data twice, and then credit card thingy twice because the page time out for some reason, but I persisted and it finally worked. And it also said I was to use their guest sign in to create a master account for my other site here: coppermountainmesa.com and I don't believe it did, but I may have misunderstood the instructions.
Otherwise I was walked through with the transfer of the domain and email setup by Ken of the Doteasy Customer Service.
I've been using Doteasy for my Coppermountainmesa.com website going on 14-15 years or so and always found them to be helpful if needed. I also have sent a number of people their way for domains and websites.
Just wanted to send a quick note that I'm always impressed by the level of help I receive from each tech support agent.
Philip, the custmer services staff helped me to purchase my.com domain and follow up with me to make sure everything is going well. Great services and highly recommended.
It's difficult to rate the product and services just yet because I am still preparing the content to upload to the website.
I think I will probably need to pay more for some assistance.

I've switched my hosting service to Doteasy 3 months ago and already noticed the improvement in my website' speed and uptime. Just sign up another domain and the price is very competitve! And new sign up page is very quick and easy too!
Doteasy support is the best support for names and hosting websites. The support team is always helpful and kind, even when I ask silly questions I should have known the answer too. I couldn't ask for a better Support Team.
The online customer service is great. I have always received a complete and concise answer to even the most obscure question.
Seems easy enough although I do believe prices for domains per year could be a lot lower. Go Daddy charges a lot less! Next time I'll probably use them!
The overall price is a secondary consideration. Doteasy spent a huge amount of time to get my issues resolved. In the end that's why I keep sticking with Doteasy. Awesome tech support.

It has always been easy to setup websites at doteasy, when questions do arise, you have always been prompt in replying to my requests, will continue using the services provided.
When I looked at the amount I was to pay it came to $135 US but it said it was for 1 year hosting... I believe it should have said 3 yrs of hosting. I realized that it was 3yr x $45 and free web sign-up. I am thankful for the break and hope I am right. Is there an annual renewal for the web name for the 2nd and 3rd year or is it all included?

Straight forward and logical to use. The service provided by Doteasy was excellent. The wording of this survey is not applicable. I did not receive an order; Doteasy provided service.
