Waste of money

We have tried to cancel the membership because it keeps purchasing movies without us selecting them. But they charge you for closing the account. It is not worth the headache. Customer service doesn't help either.

Do not get in business with this service. Save yourself the headache. Customer service is useless, not their employees, just the perimeters within they work. Meaning, they cant help you if they wanted to. Its a business that lures you with exclusive products that are severely overpriced along with a transaction conducted on there terms. I made my initial order 16 days ago. They said it was shipped 13 days ago but USPS contacted me and said they never received the item and to contact Disney. Disney wont reship or give me a refund till tomorrow. So I have to call them a 3rd time and go through another headache tomorrow before I can get back the $130 I spent. By the way I already received orders that were made after the one I am complaining about. All I have to say is Buyer Beware!

Don't do it!

Overcharging for movies! Then when trying to cancel membership they still billed for the "title of the month". Called the day they processed to cancel everything. Again. And was told it's too late! Definitely won't have anything to do with Disney! They are just money hungry!

Credit card woes

Please do not fall for the free movie dvds. Please read the fine print. They took $85 out of my credit card in one month! I have gotten new credit card numbers and they still are allowed to continue deducting at least twice a month. I only pay my credit card bill to pay them. You can't stop it until you meet their terms. Just buy me out and keep the dvds please.

Recently they had this collectable pendant that you get with orders. But they wouldn't let you pick the pendant and even though I made 4 different orders I still got the same pendant so far 3 times. Waiting on my fourth movie. But the point being is I got 3 of the same pendant and I don't even like Cinderella. The worst part is that I made the purchases on the same day so you'd think that the person in charge of packaging them would of thought to put different ones in each of the packages. Next time they have something like this I would suggest they let the buyers pick.

Rip Off!

Despite declining the monthly movie selection, more than a week later, they still charged my card. They have done this so many times, I have lost count. Then, I have to wait weeks, sometimes months, to get my money back.

I have belonged to the Disney movie club for a long time fulfilled my obligation a long time ago recently declined a featured title received the email that I had declined it and then received a charge on my CC for that movie immediately went to my account and tried to call the number several times but it is not working on my account the item had not shipped yet immediately emailed customer service, received a reply a day later saying they could not remove the charge because the item had already shipped not true this was on 2/3 and the item did not ship until 2/6 but the charge went through on my card anyway and now I can't get hold of anyone by email or phone. I will be calling my bank tomorrow and disputing the charge and I have sent 4 emails now for them to cancel my membership and take my CC off the file. You can't do that yourself of course they have to do it for you of course so they can use it whenever they want

Beware

I'm 75 years old. This has been the worst retail experience of my life. Jusr cancelled today. Ordered titles I never got. Got titles I never ordered. Sign on issues were theirs. Too much to list. Billing issues. No one cares of course, because you can't reach anyone above the kind people in India you reach. In my opinion, it's a bait and switch operation not typical of Disney... a real stain on the name.

Never heard of

Never heard of this place checked my bank account they charged me 31 bucks. I called they couldn't find anything under our name or address. Wanted our full card info and we refused. Contacted my bank and the charge disappeared. Westikl don't know where it come from or how to stop it from happening again

I had gone into my bank account and seen that I was charged something from Disney. Not knowing what it was I went into the site and saw that a random movie was bought on my account. I am the only person with access to my account and I know I didn't buy this movie. Thinking it was a mistake I went to my emails to see if I had missed a confirmation email that said I bought it. I looked through every email I had around the time it was bought but not a single Email from Disney said I had bought anything. The stupid thing cost around $33 and there was no clear way for me to cancel the order so I had to run around and find an email just to possibly talk to someone who might be able to help me. I regret signing up for this thing.

TERRIBLE

I have had nothing but issues with this company I have tried to cancel twice the second time I called the girl seemed to be helpful and quick (13 minute call) they had a pending charge on my account she said would fall off I waited 4 days for the charge to be posted on my cc after the girl told me my account was cancelled and my CC info was deleted so I had no way of being charged again! I called them back and said my credit card company told me that the amount was posted on my statement I called again! The girl said I would get a confirmation email of my cancellation and I would be getting my money back within 24-72 hours after I already waited the max time! Still no confirmation email I told them if they charge me again it's fraud PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS BULL$#*! ITS THE BIGGEST HEADACHE EVER

Firstly, this is a legitimate business directly from the Walt Disney company. It's designed as a way for families and collectors to build their Disney (and growing list of other properties) titles while saving money. For my review, I'm going to go through some of the negative points that have been used in other reviews and discuss them a bit.

When you sign up, you receive 4 or 5 movies for $1, and with that, you're entering into an agreement to purchase 5 movies at full price over a 2 year period (an extremely reasonable setup). If you read what you're told when you sign up, you will also know that they offer a monthly featured title, which includes a film (or a couple) with a collectible lithograph that you agree to purchase unless you manually decline it monthly. It's not a scam; that's how the business runs.

You may be able to get some movies cheaper elsewhere, but the site shows you how much money you saved. The amount saved is always worth the price.

It's remarkable the number of people who get so upset they'll jump on here and leave a one-star review for their own negligence. You agree to the terms and conditions upon signup and, if you keep those introductory movies, you're agreeing to fulfil that commitment. It's a very straightforward process with no hidden fine print whatsoever. You do not have to purchase all (or any) of the featured title movies. You need only buy 5 movies at the regular price.

Now, I'll talk about my own experience. I've been a member off and on for quite some time now. I get my 4-5 movies, I buy my 5, and then I usually cancel the membership. You call the customer service (who are always friendly) and tell them you'd like to cancel. They look you up in the system to make sure you fulfilled your requirements, and you're out just like that. Sometimes they'll offer you additional perks to stay; other times they don't. But nobody has ever held me against my will to stay in the club.

The movies I purchased always arrived without issue. I've never received the wrong title, although it's inevitable with the amount of orders they process in the run of a day. The only issue I've ever had with them was a major delay in shipping Guardians of the Galaxy quite a while back but, a quick chat with their wonderful Facebook customer service representative let me know that the demand for the product exceeded expectations and it was on back-order.

When it comes to the Disney Movie Club, generally everything has a simple explanation behind it. A lot of the anger toward it is due to simple user error or negligence.

This is a fantastic website that allows you to collect Disney movies cheaper than anywhere else. The extra perk is, should you choose to stay on after you reach your commitment, your offer of 50% off each additional title goes up to 60% with additional special member-only sales that you can't get anywhere else.

I highly recommend this site, but I also recommend taking the time to read what you're giving your credit card to and signing up for before you join. Because once you're in, you have no right to complain about what you agreed to.

Horrible!

This is a complete scam. I love Disney movies that's why I signed up for it but once you sign up you can't cancel your membership until you've purchased a certain amount. If you do cancel early they will charge your card the full amount of the limit you have to pay! They charge you 30-50 dollars for one movie which is ridiculous and for them not to charge you, you have to go online to decline it which you don't always remember to do. They're customer service representatives are no help when you call them. I am currently without a job due to the pandemic so I can't afford these charges a month and they will still not work with me to cancel it! I would recommend no one get this!

DisneyMovieClub is a leech. They have you sign a membership agreement telling you to get 4 movies for free! Sounds great... but no. This locks you into a contract, a deal with the devil, where you have to spend hundreds on movies that you don't even want. Every month, a "featured movie" comes up and if you don't respond in time, they charge you for it and ship it to you anyways. I have tried to cancel this membership multiple times, but they beat around the bush. This company is a disgrace to the Walt Disney name. They only care about exploiting customers for their money. DO NOT USE DISNEY MOVIE CLUB. If you do, READ THE FINE PRINT.

These people will charge your card and send you stuff you didn't order and when you immediately call to cancel they will say "oh sorry you can have a free credit" umm no give me my money back. Complete scam!

They sent me multiple movies in the same month and charged me for both and I returned them both and they only gave me credit for one. I wouldn't recommend using them. They're are a rip off and then they have a member price on the movies and when you add them to the shopping cart the price increases. I loved them in the beginning but I HATE them now. I had planned on being a life long customer because my family are big time Disney fans. Such a disappointment. I will not refer anyone to them because I don't want the same thing to happen to them as well. Then when I called in the representative put me on hold for like 20 minutes and never came back to the phone because she knew I was going to do a survey on her so I ended up just hanging up.

DO NOT SIGN UP

I originally signed up, was a great deal. Once you sign up and decide not to pay $42 a month for a simple movie you can watch on Netflix and attempt to cancel your account they try to tell you that you have to pay $52 in order to "buy out your contract". I'm addition to that, the representative will continue to argue with you that you either have to a: send movies you've already bought back to their address. B: continue paying $42 for 5 months. Or c: buy out your contract for $52.

I was excited to sign up for this reward program and was happy with the movies I received. I made sure I fulfilled my requirements of purchasing so many movies in the right amount of time. I was getting tired of the monthly emails so I decided after 3 years, it was time to cancel my membership. It was impossible to get someone on the phone, so I decided to email them and I am thankful I did because I now have a paper trail. I cancelled my membership on 7/24/2020. Received a confirmation email and all. Now I received 2 movies in the mail with an invoice dated 7/27/2020 and a charge to my card! Supposedly, I placed an order on 7/20/2020 and I most certainly did not. I received a movie I already had so I can guarantee you I would not have purchased this old movie at their ridiculous prices AGAIN! And when I discovered this I tried logging into my account to do some research and they have already removed me from their database apparently because now I can no longer log in. I now have to wait until tomorrow to call and get this whole situation fixed.

Its a total rip off the featured movies suck half the time plus im obligated to buy it because of the 5 movie Contract in the "fine print" i just thought the movies would be better and i'd have the best price due to my membership. "DON'T GET DISNEY MOVIE CLUB"!
