This is the worst service I ever dealt with i had this service for 8 months and I have had problems with it for 8 months everytime I call they tell me it has been noted but will not send no one out to correct the problem when I talked to a supervisor he had the nerve to basically tell me nothing is perfect thats the world we live in and to suck it up really when I'm spending my money

Horrible

I was a customer for 15 years. They constantly raised my bill each year. I would call and complain and they would 'find' a special offer to keep me. Last year i decided streaming was for me as I never watched 70% of the shows in my lowest tier of service. I now stream 100% and am happy. With them now rolling out 5G a word to the wise-DON'T DO IT! Unless they up their customer service and provide COMPETITIVE rates—-GO ELSEWHERE.

Poor Customer Service
September 14, 2023

We had a new roof put on our house and called to have the dish reinstalled. We were told it would be a minimum of three weeks but we could call back to get an earlier time. We called every 2-3 days three times and they could not give us an earlier date. In the meantime we were told to use the Dish Anytime App. First our fire stick was 'out of date' and we needed a new version to download the app. They could send us a new fire stick free of charge but it would not be delivered until the end of October. Not helpful! We were able to install the dish app on our iPad. However, we ran into so many issues on a daily basis trying to watch shows. The app would freeze, episodes would stop half way and show a black screen and we are also unable to get local channels. We are now approaching the three week point and we are EXTREMELY frustrated. At this point we are considering switching to another provider. When speaking with customer service they were very not helpful and could not provide any other solutions. They passed my call onto many different department all of whom were not able to solve our problems. I have not been so dissatisfied with a company's customer service. We were not given any compensation to make up for our trouble either. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Ridiculous

Dish network is a joke. Been a customer for well ever 30 years...paying 195.00 a month for the 8 channels we watched and majority of the other channels are in a different language or are all infomercials so 200 a month is ridiculous. Well today i dont have service because although my bill payment due is 193.02 and i paid 195.00 but NOW DISH SAYS MY BILL WAS 205.00...WELL NOONE COULD TELL ME WHY THE 2 AMOUNTS BUT AFTER ALL THESE YEARS I CANNOT HAVE TV UNLESS I PAY THEM 10 MORE DOLLARS. DONE DONE DONE...WE WILL GET WIFI AND STREAM AND SAVE ALMOST 100 BUCKS AND HECK WITH DISH NETWORK...NO MORE THEY ARE ABSOLUTE RIPOFFS AND ITS SAD.

DISH network was at onetime an admired business, that is no longer the case. Once you sign the contract for their services you are in for a roller coaster ride, going down! DISH network will delete major local stations, like CBS for long periods of time with little or no warning. Their favorite ploy is block the feed from stations that run the most popular sporting events, especially at playoff and finals competition.
The thing that bothers me most is DISH will cut your programing with no offer to reduce the amount you pay monthly. When you try to reach a live person to speak to, you may have to wait for an hour or even longer (if you can reach anyone at all).
I live in rural Washington State on the Olympic Peninsula. There are very few options beyond satellite service for television and wifi connectivity where I reside. I've been a customer of DISH network for over 9 years, yet they treat me as they would any of their newest signups for their services. I am sick and tired of the games they play with the people that shell out our hard earned pay month after month.
I warn you now, go elsewhere for your home television and wifi needs

Dish customer

We've had Dish Network for about two and a half years the price goes up I negotiate it goes down then it goes back up it's supposed to come on your phone it should be like Dish anywhere they say but the phone part of it sucks overall I think it's just crap for the amount of money that they charge at the end of this next contract I'm guaranteed I'm going to cancel it and I'm just going to do online streaming this is I've dealt with them for so many years and it's just to the point where it's just not worth it don't do it

Dish network is the worst satellite service in the world it starts to sprinkle outside and you lose cable right now you can't even get a hold of customer service I have tried for the last few days trying to get a hold of Dish Network and nobody wants to answer the phones I would not recommend Dish Network to anybody

Preying on the elderly!

My mom canceled service back in July 2020 so they cut off the service. She had no channels coming thru the dish box for over year. She called again September 2021 for new service, got added on a promotion of about $50 per month. I checked her account january 2022 and Dish had been automatically deducting a monthly payment of $54 since 2019, never canceling the account in 2021, only canceling service. She also was paying $91 per month since September, no promotion added. I talked to 2 reps and a manager. They all said she had service and they couldn't refund any money. I canceled service. STAY AWAY FROM DISH! THEY PREY ON THE ELDERLY!

DISH TV refuses to drop RT (Russian TV) which is owned by the Russian government. Money made by DISH from RT goes to Russia which buys bullets and bombs that kill thousands of civilians. Directv has already dropped RT, but DISH has not. Appalling and un-American. Blood is on DISH's hands!

I know all satellite TV is expensive. Please explore ALL OTHER OPTIONS! Signing up for Dish Network was the easiest thing we have probably ever done. After paying for it for over a year, we decided that we never watched the dish, we used mostly streaming. Trying to cancel it was like trying to write a thesis in one night. 57 minutes on hold. When John finally came on the phone, he just wouldn't give up. He kept telling us that he had to wait for an agent for him to move forward with the cancellation. He wanted to know the weather, 5 times he asked us what we liked about dish, now he wanted to offer us a reduced priced package. We told him SEVERAL times that we don't watch TV, to please cancel. Finally, after 1 hour and 20 minutes, asking our address again, he said he was shipping return boxes to us. Now we will see if we get them. Oh, and they offered that greatly reduced package if we stayed but charged full termination fee because our 2 years wasn't up. Be careful people. TV isn't worth it.

DISH NETWORK ARE SCUM BAGS
Forewarned is forearmed.

I don't recommend DISH NETWORK.
Had 2 different installers in 3 days. It still is not working.
Installers not showing up on appointment dates, when they show up they don't have the expertise to get it to work.
Takes an hour for them to get on the phone, if your not disconnected first.
DISH will NOT let me cancel without paying a $500 fee and I have had this system 3 Days.
DISH is not able to use my email address because their computer says it is invalid, therefore I am not able to contact them via internet because DISH NETWORK'S email says my email is invalid. If I need to talk to DISH I have to call and WAIT an hour for someone at DISH to pick up unless it hangs up and then I have to call back and start all over again.
I have had the same email address for 30 yrs
2 years with these scum and I am gone.
Just wanted to $#*! and complain and hope you don't mind. I also wanted to warn you away.

Dish is a total ripoff

Do not ever consider Dish as your TV provider. Their support comes from over seas and their customer service is the worst in the business.
I had their service for just 13 days with the service going out for 4 of those days. Rain SHUT IT DOEN twice and I lost service because of their equipment for 2 days. Customer service tried to fix it for 2 days telling me it was a programing or equipment problem.
Because of the lack of reliability, I asked to cancel my service. They apologized and told me I would not have to pay any service or CONTRACT FEES. The service was canceled and all equipment was mailed back.
1 month later I was charged over $500 for cancelation and contract penalties.
I contacted them and basically they told me they had no idea about anything about the above.
If you are dumb enough to except their service, DO NOT use credit or debit cards for their monthly payments.

We have been "loyal customers" of "Dish Network" for eight years we finally came to the conclusion that we needed to financially just reboot everything financially so we called "Dish Network" on yesterday to cancel and we were literally HARRASSED when they transferred us over to the "disconnect department somewhere they've claimed in South America but we were literally bullied and harassed to cancel our service and then this morning on July 15th 2022 someone called from a 1)833 number and wanted our credit card information to finalize the last bill people please be careful please be careful SENIOR CITIZENS do not give out your credit card information to anybody calling you over the phone please be careful especially when you try to do business with Dish Network and you try to cancel. PLEASE NEVER GIVE CREDIT CARD INFORMATION TO ANYBODY CALLING YOU.

Angry with Dish

I jad been a customer of Dish for 16+ years. In April my receiver had to be replaced and clearly and repeatedly stated that I could not afford an increase. Well, it increased after I was forced to get the Hopper system. This system did NOT provide the same service as the one I had used for all those years.

Shortly after the system was installed I came down with Covid. I have other health issues and Covid was very hard on me. I ended up with Covid heart, which will keep me from going back to work, So I am on a very limited income.

I called and cancelled the service. Within two weeks I received a bill for $450 for "early" cancelation, I called customer service and was told by three different CS reps that my account would be credited after they received their equipment. I got the shipping label and sent it all back. I even got emails stating they received it,

In the mean time they placed a $400 charge on the credit card that was required to have the service. I called and was told again that in 7 to 10 business days, that account would be credited.

They was 3 months ago and I have lost count of how many phone calls to CS. Still no credit. Today I got another bill for $30.55.

I would NEVER get this service again and highly recommend that if you are thinking of obtaining Dish service that you look at other services
