Dish owes me over $1400. That thry. Barged yo my card after I moved and discontinued service. I am a widowed elderly handicapped woman who has been taken advantage by Dish. I finally got someone to stop charging my card and now they only want to refund me a small portion of what they charged. I asked for a box yo return their receiver and they at first said they would send one after a year of requesting it. Then fish called and told me not yo bother, that they would send someone by in a few days yo pick it up. On Sunday, someone text me at 7:45 am that they were on their way. I was going to church with my 96 year old mother and didn't notice the text. The person came to my apt and sat for over an hour in front. My landlord was alarmed and tried to call me. He took pictures of the man's license plate which was out of state. Dish never had any problem with my payments and contract, no reason for this behavior. I have been taken advantage of. If you are a senior, look out for Dish! They lie and steal! Who ever heard of coming to your home early on a Sunday morning and stalking you!
We have been DISH users for nearly 10 years only because they are the only provider in our area. Not once during that time has the customer been first. They do not monitor the age of equipment and/or offer to replace before it dies. Our most current issue: primary box had fatal error meaning we can not record, pause, go back, go forward, can only watch prime time recordings from primary box, will have to re-enter all of our favorite recordings set up, and DISH will not expedite delivery of new box or provide a delivery date. The only positive I have to say about DISH is they have live chat so it is not necessary to speak to live person and listen to them read canned responses. Our bill continues to climb - is nearly $200/month with NO premium channels. They have never allowed a credit no matter how long ALL paid for services are not available. Our bill is set up for auto pay so they get their money on time no matter how poor the service is. My next correspondence is to the FCC and both my state and federal representatives.
I will never deal with this company again. I wanted to cancel my account because my husband passed away. No matter what I said about NOT being able to afford it a anymore they just continued on & on trying to sell me a cheaper package under the guise of trying to "help" me. Even after I told them no & that I couldn't afford 50cents because my bills outweighed my income now that my husband passed away they STILL tried to pitch their crap to me. Even if I become a millionaire I will NEVER order or deal with Dish again!
Don't sign up! They will give you offers, make promises and tell you everything you want to hear. End of the day, once you signed, you are stuck and everything goes down hill from there.
Arrived around 9 AM. Left around 4:15 PM. Couldn't get internet access in master BR. Apparently the Hopper only gets you the access to that 1 TV. So I asked for the Hopper added for the master BR. It would have cost $568. I said waive it or forget it, disconnect and reconnect back to what it was. They won't reconnect! They were going to try reconnecting but they didn't even try. Thankfully I didn't cancel my old provider but I DID Have to call to schedule for my cable company to come out to my house to reconnect me! And they left the Dish still connected to the house! Horrible! DO NOT EVER GO WITH DISH EVER! NEVER AGAIN!

People at dish TV are the worst customer service people ever I called on 6 January requesting my service be discontinued. I was moving away we sold our house was no longer there on the 21st. They pinged my service and confirmed that it was not connected. They're still billing me, finally today May 5 month after it was supposed to be terminated it's finally terminated but they want to charge me and will only credit one and 1/2 months because they said they were hacked. I am aware they were hacked. I have called their 14 times average time was an hour to an hour and a half each time to talk to people to get it disconnected and a return authorization for the equipment. They now have no record of it do I think they have a record of is it was being done 21st of January, but they can't tell me why it was pinned just that it was pinned and it was not no equipment was shown so obviously they could've credited me but just did not want to, they have regular billing issues. I was happy to escape from the clutches of Dish now they still want to charge me for over a month after I initiated the disconnect, horrible people. I hope they all rot in hell.
The reading would not let me on this website go lower than one star. They deserve -5 poor service for quality extremely poor customer service.
They promise good service and channel selection and then cancel the channels that I signed up specifically for…they want consumer to live within contract but they don't.
So I called them 2x to return equipment that was left in the house we bought the last time I told them if they did not get return info to me I would put their equipment into trash all I got was we understand horrible people to deal with
Do you like to watch things such as the Olympics? You WON'T GET TO with Dish Network! And, when you want to express your frustration for the lack of basic cable channels, they will suggest you do their dirty work and complain to TEGNA to demand that they give Dish a better deal for the channel, what kind of business asks their customers to go begging on their behalf, DISH network, that's who. Guess which other networks still allows you to watch NBC and won't have you calling other companies to complain on their behalf, Xfinity, Direct TV, etc.
This move should be the end of Dish, but they have their customers by contract and they play on that to the tune of >$400 if you wish to cancel to do something simple like watch the Olympics when you pay $100 a month for cable! GETTING DISH WAS THE WORST DECISION, I WILL DROP THEM IMMEDIATELY ONCE THE CANCELLATION FEES ARE SO HIGH, DON'T GET LIED TO, GO TO ANOTHER CABLE SERVICE.
It's been six months now, and I have nothing but great things to say about the Dish network. I love the Hopper and Joey units, and particularly like that I can record hundreds and hundreds of hours of TV shows on my DVR with a great looking picture!
Dish has the WORST STREAMING in the WORLD and I will tell you why.
ALL OTHER Streaming companies stream from the Cloud, you select something to record and it is available to stream from A CLOUD, not a hard-drive in your home.
If your DISH Box is down or your internet at home is down or if there is a storm, guess what NO STREAMING FOR YOU.
When it does work it is SLOW AS SLUGS and trying to back or forward is a guess at BEST.
DISH MOVE STREAMING to the CLOUD like the other 99.*******% of services do.
I only keep it because my wife has 200+ hours of Hallmark and Lifetime movies recorded.
This was the worst service we ever received, all they care about is raising their fees every month. DISH IS THE WORST PROVIDER EVER, STAY AWAY! Even their technical support guy admitted that their equipment sucks and directed us to request an older model of a receiver becuase it had less bugs! This is the worst experience ever and we are cancelling early, even though they are slapping us with cancellation fees. But even that is better than to have to pay for another year. Goodbye DISH and NEVER AGAIN!
I received a notice that my bill was passed due and it was $486 so I looked through my account to see what was going on with my billing and found 17 pay-per-view events that no one in this household purchased the lowest one was 499 the most expensive was 85.99 for a grand total of $410 in pay-per-view purchases that apparently a ghost purchased in my house. So of course I called customer service one was rude supposed to transfer me to a supervisor who after talking to for 3 minutes hung up on me. The third time I got a hold of a resolution specialist who actually spoke English and she turned out to be the best customer service rep I had talked to yet. Money for that I am being refunded $240 and she helped me set up a parental passcode so that this would never happen again. I know for a fact that no one in this house both of my parents which are in their mid 80s did not order any of this so we will see what happens now with the passcode. Yes their customer service is a joke but I didn't have to wait long I was given a call back and this is cheaper than the cable company in my area I get a good bang for my buck so long as I'm not getting ripped off by a ghost. Also my reception no problems.
Hi attempted to join dish Network and hopefully for better and more reasonable service and cable. My experience with them has been horrible. The technician comes out installs and then my internet doesn't work so they told me they don't do nothing with internet so call my cable company that does my internet which I did they got it up and running but not with this. So I called his back and they tell me they'll send a technician out to see if there was something wrong with the installation I got five notifications that day that the technician would be there and the technician never showed up. Then I called them back to cancel my service and I was on the phone again the average time to get to somebody is 32-34 minutes every time you call and the lady said that she would send me return boxes so I can return my boxes and remotes and I had 5 days well I'm at day 5 and there's no return boxes and I'm on hold with them right now again just trying to get rid of this crap. Their service is crappy they don't stick to their word it's not worth it don't do it it's a headache and I'm just trying to get rid of my headache now so I figured why not write a review why I'm waiting on hold for them
Our service went out, no signal, they said they have to send a technician out but have to wait 4 days! My contract is up in February so switching to YouTube tv. Avoid dish network!
We have had no service for two weeks. The only thing we can do on their website is pay them money. If you try to call them the wait is hours. We are quitting dish.
I have been with Dish for years and just recently I had not been able to use Dish for like 3 weeks due to an issue with connection. Well when I called Dish for a credit for not being able to use the service, I was told " We can only give you 14 dollar credit" ( a slap in the face) I am telling everyone Do Not Use Dish If they treated me like this they will do you too. Your promise by dish Network a $500 gift card at signing your contract but the card will come six to eight weeks after signing I'm on week 13 current bills are paid they waited and now I'm behind now they won't issue me the gift card that was promised to me to get the new gift card I have to bring my bill up to current and that it will take another six to eight weeks that'll be 16 weeks after signing but I may get my gift card sounds like they're an Indian giver I'll give you this gift card then I'll take it back!
There having issues on there end and they want the customer to pay for it. They got reps on the line who dont want to resolve the problem or connect you to management after the hold time was over an hour. I have been a loyal and on time customer NEVER BEEN LATE & SERVICE HAS NEVER BEEN INTERRUPTED IN 24 YEARS!
Answer: Because it sounds great to have 1200 channels even if 1195 channels are nothing but infomercials, most people like me think wow I will have so many movies to watch I might have to record 5 while I watch 1 but after you get your 1200 channels you realize most every movie you would like to see can only be viewed if you pay an extra rental fee, another huge disadvantage to satellite tv is the frequency of commercials and the time the commercials are shown, regular tv used to be a 2 minute commercial break, dish network and directv have over 5 minute commercial breaks
