About every month and a half I go through a week of unplugging, plugging, repeat. Calling Dish sometimes getting someone who can help sometimes not. After four calls in a week they'll send a technician who usually replaces something. It takes about ten days to get everything fixed again. My two years will be up in a couple of months. I'll be looking for other options. Dish is just too frustrating.
By far the worst company ever to get away from. Family member passed after having Dish for 20+ years and Dish wanted a copy of death certificate to prove it. I would NEVER recommend this company!
We where double charged today. We asked for the money back. Management declined. I told my husband call them and cancel! We have been great customers for years. This type of treatment if unacceptable.
They are to spendy and getting more spendier! Farewell Dish. We don't need your services that bad. I got Netflix. Awesome service and they don't double dip and is affordable.
I called to cancel. Agent put me in less expensive pack. Discovered he lied about channels and price
Dish net is not good service provider. Do not sign with them.
They are just doing business to take money from you. I am 25 year customer, I can not cancel my service even though i did not sign any contract. Every associates should be on same page.
You show a setting of rural customers running to a storm shelter. As the family sits and are seen watching the storm roll in on what I assume is your dish network, the father rushes in to join him family and sits to track the storm... Reality is the first 2 minutes if any storm we get here, the first thing we lose is our dish signal until the threat passes. So don't count on it for your personal protection because it ain't happening!
We got MyDish TV service for my elderly mother when she moved into assisted living. We were told by the assisted living that they already had a MyDish satellite and that it was the only paid service that they would allow their tenants to have ( they didn't want multiple cables everywhere). Less than a week after mom's service started, her receiver kept loosing it's signal and needed to be reset multiple time while watching her programs. I called the company and was told that she would need to rent an upgraded receiver ( for $10/ month). I dished out for the upgrade. This decreased the frequency from multiple time a day to about 3-4 a week. My mother is disabled and she has to ask the staff where she lives to reset her receiver, a great annoyance for the assisted living workers. A couple of months later my mom's service would not resume after following the steps to reset the receiver. I called MyDish, there was a $95 charge for them to send out a service technician or I could agree to sign up for a protection plan for an additional $8/ month, which I did. The technician came out and mom's service restarted but, her receiver continues to go out several times a week and has to be reset by staff. We have had other issues when resetting the receiver did not fix the problem and have had to call for a technician to be sent out. It is not uncommon to wait on hold for a 1/2 hour and to be transferred several times in order to get a resolution. MyDish always tries to insinuate that the problem is on my mother's end; " she doesn't know how to use her remote, she needs to upgrade her receiver ( and pay more money), etc. Each time that they have sent a technician out to her place, the problem was on the company's end! While I must admit that we have have 1 technician come out who has been knowledgeable and courteous; others have been rude or didn't know what they were doing ( or they just didn't want to do the work). One technician walked around for a few minutes and then just up and left without saying a word to my mother or the property owner. I called Dish; they said that his notes said that he didn't have access to the satellite and that he had advised the customer to make a new appointment when there would be staff present to provide access. This was an out right lie! The owner of the building was there. He was in the office that has clear glass windows all the way around it and is located right next to the building's entrance. The technician did not advise my mother, the staff, or the owner of anything!; he just left! The technician who came out after that did call me and explain what he did and he did not require access to the satellite to fix the problem! There is also an early termination fee to end your service before the 24 month contract.
We have been "loyal customers" of "Dish Network" for eight years we finally came to the conclusion that we needed to financially just reboot everything financially so we called "Dish Network" on yesterday to cancel and we were literally HARRASSED when they transferred us over to the "disconnect department somewhere they've claimed in South America but we were literally bullied and harassed to cancel our service and then this morning on July 15th 2022 someone called from a 1)833 number and wanted our credit card information to finalize the last bill people please be careful please be careful SENIOR CITIZENS do not give out your credit card information to anybody calling you over the phone please be careful especially when you try to do business with Dish Network and you try to cancel. PLEASE NEVER GIVE CREDIT CARD INFORMATION TO ANYBODY CALLING YOU.
The customer service at dish network is horrible.if I wasn't locked in a contact with them I would leave and go to drict tv. They have better prices and if their service stopes working like mine did for dish then drict tv will send out a technician to fix the problem rite away not 17 days later like dish network is doing.so if I was looking for tv I would definitely choose a different tv provider
Dish lied about regional sports and local channels. In dispute with Ballys and CBS during football season. The app on my third tv continuously shuts off during viewing and Dish will not do anything about it. All my other apps work fine. I would give the a zero if the was an option. Will switch to Hulu or Youtube.
Dont get dish.com, thats the big mistake. Everytime we have a problem with their service. Not good service at all
After complaining several times to Dish Network customer service because their technician who had stolen the laptop did not have the courage to call back, I received a call purportedly from their head office to say that they would take action against the technician but they could not tell me what action would be taken.
After multiple attempts trying to receive boxes in order to send the equipment back after cancelling (in which they charge a fee for), they sent my account to collections. We had to pay the bill for not returning equipment in order to have it dropped, in which they promised a refund when the equipment was returned. Equipment was returned, they have yet to refund or drop from my credit. Customer service is no help and gives the same empty promises every time. Stream your shows and never hire this company.
I called dish because my system wasn't working, got the usual useless questions about having it plugged in, etc. Determined that I need a technician to come check it out. This was 6/19, and the first appointment was 6/29! A p.m. arrival was given. So today6/29 we were sent updates on when tech would arrive. The time kept being pushed back, until finally they said they weren't coming today! And wanted to set an appointment for 7/14! Unfortunately or fortunately we live in a rural area and there are only two choices for tv. I suppose the other one will get my business!
I do NOT ever leave reviews but I am beyond frustrated with DISH. When companies hire a 3rd party company to answer and run their business, which don't speak English nor probably live in the States; they do not have a clue what they are doing! DISH THIS IS GOING TO HURT YOUR BUSINESS MORE THAN SAVE YOU MONEY. WE WANT TALK AND COMMUNICATE WITH AMERICANS THAT SPEAK OUR LANGUAGE AND UNDERSTAND US. NOT BE TRANSFERRED 20 TIMES ON A PHONE CALL. FIGURE IT OUT! SO BEYOND FRUSTRATED.
An absolute horror to deal with. We sold our home and had our account placed on "pause". Our service was reinstated without knowledge and we started receive bills and harassing calls. After going through the BBB for a resolution I'm still receive harassing phone calls about service fees. Very rude and unprofessional no wonder they have a 1 star rating.
No support
I'm pretty sure I've tried new batteries, unplugged my receiver, and any other basic reset before calling incompetent support that transfers me to a non number. Total BS
They will screw you over big time worst service ever they freaking got hacked during the super bowl and I couldn't even watch the super bowl due to them getting hacked then the equipment stopped working and when i called to cancel they said they would charge me a $420 fee for early termination so they are not worth your time and money
I have been with Dish for 16 years! And they raise bill, so I called and cancels to go with a cheaper option. The sales person told me that I would owe nothing on the final bill, because I canceled before the end of the cycle, well I got charged an early term fee, really! Not cool!
We were not getting signal over three consecutive weekends. I spent hours on the telephone with tech. This last weekend I was disconnect 3 times and no call back. After negotiating the phone matrix in an effort to get re-connected (this is not an easy process), they did not take notes and I needed to start from the beginning on all three occasions. I finally lost it and called a fourth time to separate from the company and after another 15 minutes of going through a variety of folks. I was sent to a division that was not open and reached a recording to call back during specific hours. And then, when everything was said and done, they want to (and did) charge me $100.00 early termination fee for getting rid of a service that does not work. Wow. Can't image this company is destine for anything good. Sigh.
Answer: Because it sounds great to have 1200 channels even if 1195 channels are nothing but infomercials, most people like me think wow I will have so many movies to watch I might have to record 5 while I watch 1 but after you get your 1200 channels you realize most every movie you would like to see can only be viewed if you pay an extra rental fee, another huge disadvantage to satellite tv is the frequency of commercials and the time the commercials are shown, regular tv used to be a 2 minute commercial break, dish network and directv have over 5 minute commercial breaks
Answer: Yes ive been with them for 15 years and when i said this is ridiculous the guy said 'OK' and nothing more they are terrible
Answer: They bait and switch with their supposed DVR recording option that they change to On Demand, making it impossible for you to watch what you thought you recorded.
